This is the new bug list as Abraxas has stopped updating the other one. Its a bit of a work in progress for now. Links need to be added. The info is only as good as I am given, but I will check most of these bugs when I can and make a effort to update this thread weekly. If you think a bug here is fixed let me know. If you have a bug, try to describe it in a way where I can copy and paste it on to the list.


EXTREME ISSUES

1.Sometimes slow loading bar before a hang up when you enter a online trial/single race/seasonal race/2P battle or joining a lounge. Quitting the game required. Much like the slow loading bar in races/joining lounge the SSR X Speed test will fail to load after a few runs forcing you to quit the game. AKA the slow loading bar of death. Many people say this issue can simply not be fixed because its not a consistent bug but this happens 1 plus times a day I play and needs to be fixed above all other things IMO. Also there is a similar bug when you leave a track the game takes away all options and you watch the AI constantly drive around the track but the game never goes back to the menu.



MAJOR Issues


1.Horns/gear/paint/museum cards do not stack properly. For example I own two separate Horn 160's instead of one with a quantity of two.

2. Top Gear Test Track has a massive shortcut where drivers dont need to even drive close to the entire track.

3. Online qualyfying broken. Cars rarely in proper order on grid. Also leaving the change setting without changing car will reset your time.

4.Penalty system broken and lets the dirty driver penalize the clean driver if done right. It is also not right if a driver slightly overdrives a corner but completely stays on track but ghosts anyway and a driver passes them by going though them when they may have never gotten around in a real race.

Likely Lag Based Bugs/IssuesThese are bugs likely all due to lag but this does not mean a fix couldn't happen so definitely worth listing.

1. Game/player will sometimes lag and make the second place car the winner in terms of money/xp and will say they won when clearly behind.

2. People can't hear/see everybody in the lounge/private lounge including friends,but not always both. Seems to happen a lot more lately.

3. Online races "major lap time bug" has gotten better but still exists. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=237539

4. Black screen issues when the race starts. It can vary on length of time, but very common to start normal with a countdown as soon as one person leaves the room. There are times where the race will start without countdown/shortened but everyone starts at the same time. Other possibilities include when not every driver comes out of the black screen at the same time and people are able to get head-starts on other drivers.

5. Lag-like issues for people with good internet connections. Leaving and coming back may help. These issues include poor mic chat quality, very very slow garage loading (and possible rare freeze), slow to enter the track, car glitchy to others on track, and slow tuning navigation. Also for some it get worse for people with very good connections in the room when people with poor connections enter. Having a large garage (1000 cars) seems to make this much worse as well

6.Tire screech sometimes goes away in online lounge. Believed to be lag.

7. Random lounge disconnects especially when joining a room. Again I have them more often recently and people entering my lounge seem to get booted right away much more frequently. (I get disconnected once in a room and racing very rarely. Maybe once every other week. Sometimes the whole room crashes with me sometimes not. People joining and leaving before they got in is very common though.

8.People in lounge sometimes don't have the yellow circle next to their coffee cup. When they do at times you may get "you can't join messages" or even a rare "blocked form room" when you were not kicked.

9.Lounge leader can sometimes start a race in the pits and be left off the grid. (Heard recent reports. No one I race with though)

10.Comment box where its says people join/leave your room will appear while your on track but empty of text so you have no idea who left/joined/typed message.


Minor Issues/Needed Minor Tweaks
Gameplay
1.You can't use your custom tracks in 2 player battle anymore.
2.Hitting START button in Speed test screen places car in tunnel net to pits and test lasts only few meter until finish line is crossed.
3.Electric cars battery drains with unlimited tire/fuel selected.
4.Replay rewind/fast forward functions don't work in replays that were recorded in 2 player mode.
5.When batteries are empty in electric car you can still go faster than 50kmh limit by gently operating with gas pedal.

Online
6.When you are watching people race online, or watching an online replay from your library, no one's speedometers other than your own will read above 357mph
7.In online lounge, when you select "No Active Steering" or "Driving line", in the chat window, it will say "Active Steering/Driving line allowed" even though it's disabled. Toggling the option still bring the wrong message.
8.Uncommon freeze issues after a seasonal race or leaving a lounge.It sometimes requires you to just quit the game but sometimes resetting the system is needed. The freezing can happen right after you get paid for the seasonal race. For online when you select the red square or right when you get back to the open lobby area it will freeze. SSRX is where it seems to happen the most. Its recommended not to be in the xmb while leaving a lobby or race as it might make matters worse. Its also important to know that sometimes it just takes a long time to leave a lobby and its not a freeze. Random freezes also can happen although rarely, after a single player race.
9.Sometimes track options are unavailable to room leader until a reset best done by switching damage on and off then back. Occasionally the tracks options only are greyed out as a host but still changeable and greyed out as a racer but still readable.
10. It is possible to have an online race with combinations of karts, F1, and standard cars by fiddling with the settings in the right way. ONLY ONE I DON'T WANT FIXED :)

Tracks
11.Cars at Eiger will sink into track after jump on replays.
12.SSR X: Minor graphic issues like lights in the tunnel on SSR X on the second straight go away after you exit the tunnel, and cars are sinking into the road in the rear view mirror.
13.Kart Space I: The number of corners is wrong. The track has 9 corners but the game counts 8.
14.Course maker: Sometimes -5 or -4 corner sharpness makes it actually as sharp as +5
15. Also a rare course maker bug, the last and first corners can be oddly wide and possible to get sucked in and stuck in the edge of them.

Misc. bugs
16.Sometimes after pausing a game controls do not appear (usually on Nordschleife)
NEW 17.When using a supported wheel (DFGT, G25/7 have been reported) and using some cars in dirt rally races, the wheel will lose the 900 degrees of rotation. Instead of 2.5 turns lock to lock it gets cut down to 1.5 turns, making the steering ratio much quicker. So far I have found it to be like this on every dirt track, but only some of the snow tracks. It also doesn't happen to every car.
18.License S-7 still has a huge short cut on the Top Gear Test Track that would get someone disqualified on other special events.
19. Personal BGM issues where doesn't play songs, repeats same song, menu music plays while on track, etc.
20.The GT5 log shows every gifted suit/helmet as correct name followed by the -01 in your log.
21.The GT5 log shows every gifted paint as wrong chip name followed by correct paint name in your log.
22. Not all races/seasonal races/license test/special event medals/wins show up on log. You could see gold achieved on License test 1 2 4 5 for example, although you got the gold on 3 too.
23.Usually PP value in garage (list view) does not update how it should due to a tire miscalculation.
24.The Car Restoration Coupon description says it Removes Tuning Parts in the first screen and than in the confirmation screen it says All tuning parts, wheels etc. will be kept.
25.Wheels description in GT Auto and online manual still states that you can't change wheels for standards. Manual also says changing suits is not possible.
26.When car is going on highest revs and hit from behind rev counter goes off scale
27.Photo-mode. Bloom and flare effect does not reset when you turn filters off. So after turning on then off cold or mono filters you have no bloom, but after warm it's there but even heavier than in normal mode. Flare is gone always after filter change because filters don't use it and you can turn it on only by leaving camera mode (when filters are off).
28. Nordschliefe time change icon in practice shows GP course when not used for this configuration.
29. Sometimes the sound does not work proper on starting game. It goes in and out. Unplugging and reinserting the HDMI seems to work.

Cars specifications and descriptions
30.Tornado Made a large list of cars with wrong specifications. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=193920 Go here for your incorrect weight, transmission, localization, and power issues compared to real life. Note Shelby and Audi TT on this list from there.
31.Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 TC - the Standard Center Differential is incorrect, showing 150/-50
32.Toyota MR2 GT-S '97 - LSD acceleration value (80) of stock LSD is higher than highest setting of custom LSD (60). Bug is present in some other cars, but for now only this one is confirmed
33.Dodge Viper ACR - speedometer is counting miles as kilometers and maxes out at 220 km/h.
34.VW 1200 '66 still has wrong weight in dealership, despite correct weight in garage.
35.In the Special Event/Grand Tour/Eiger Nordwand it states that the Alfa 8C is a FWD car. Only in some countries. I believe Germany is one.
36.Mitsubishi Lancer EX 1800GSR IC Turbo - description in English version says that it's AWD car, which is not correct, as it is FR car.
37.Daihatsu MIRA TR-XX Avanzato R '97 looses power and pp after installing stage III engine upgrade
38.VW Museum card 47 has a picture of a Polo but describes a Golf.
39.In some cars descriptions fuel efficiency figures are wrong (999L/100km, or Xkm/L where it should be XL/100km). Cars affected: Priuses, Golf VI R, Honda Insight LS 2009, Acura DN-X
40.Lamborghini Aventador needs a space between "mph" and "of" in description (US version)
41.XJR-9 (standard and premium) description claims it ran LeMans in 1998. Really it was in 1988 (US and Italian version)
42.Description of Corvette C1 is description of Chevy Silverado (US version).
43.Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05 has too many spaces between IX and GSR in name.
44.Audi Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car has broken taillights.
45.The Lexus IS-F Racing Concept taillights don't turn brighter when braking while driving on night courses.
46.The description of the 2002 Mini Cooper S lists the S model as having "113 HP and 109.9 ft-lb of torque" while it should read 160 HP and 161.3 ft-lb based on the in-game stats
47.Mirrors on some standards don't work.One is the Vauxhall Tigra 1.6 interior mirror. The mirror itself is there, but it has no reflection material on in.Mirrors sketchy anyway, there's a lot of glitching. Especially obvious in replays.
48. Reverse lights don't work correctly on Golf VI and Mini Countryman (premium). Its a bug as most standards are the ones with no reverse lights.
49.If you install a fully customizable transmission on the Volvo C30 R-Design, when you change into sixth gear it will show a "D" in the gear indicator on the car cockpit view instead of a "6".
50. Both standard Scion cars can not be shared. Be interesting to see if they add the Scion FR-S in game that was in the demo to see if its fixed then.
51. Shelby Series One uses NA specs when says supercharged model.
52. Audi TT 1.8T Quattro '00 is FF in the game when really awd.
53.Toyota 86 GT '12 - analog speedometer doesn't have limiter and goes beyond scale all the way back to 0.

Honorable Mentions
This is for very minor bugs that could be a huge hassle to fix that PD likely knows about, misc. weird Stuff/possible bugs that need more reports before they make the "official" list, not quite a bug, or just very annoying.
1. Still raining for one driver on the track while for the rest of the room it is not
2. Tires not warming up through online race.
3. Some RX-7'S sound like they use 3 rotary motors.
4.When adding a MID RPM turbo kit to a car, the graph in settings does not update.
5. After using a backup save unclaimed gifts can not be obtained and are stuck in your inbox.
6. Gion, Kyoto Photo Travel location there is strange loud sound in background, something like construction site. It is there but not known if intentional or not but rather annoying.
7. Sometimes in practice after going to "My Courses" other track tabs can't be accessed.
8. Watch race tab got skipped when others where at practice but all other tabs worked and race was joinable
9. Having a highly tuned car makes all white Citroen Concepts the only competitor when you choose single race option.
10. Confirmed but seasonal glitch so not permanent....Stars and Stripes seasonal title once at track is wrong with random &amp in it. Also why do they list 5 laps twice in a row?
11. Weird things at SSR X during races/replays like cars flying, dropping at start,parts of track disappearing, cars barrel rolling etc.
12. Unlikely to be fixed due to known complications but skid marks/damage on track/car before it happens when rewinding replays.
13. Invisible walls at tracks like SSR X and Top Gear are only a problem if your cutting/out of control, but should be removed so people in penalty based rooms that spin or lose it don't hit them. The most requested removal is at SSR X's invisible wall between track lane and pit entrance
14. Haven't seen in a while if you have please post-At Nurburgring Nordschleife: A colorful line sometimes appears starting from the middle of Caracciola Karussell ("The Carousel") and ends about 200m later.
15. More of a tweak on this one but worth a mention-Race End BGM special-tunes does not play when Race BGM is set to OFF in music-options
NEW 16.Nurburgring 24 hour track is slow to load up and disappears sometimes. While driving final sector before the long straight the track had disappeared. I could drive, but there was no road texture showing.
17. When car is changed, change count updates after race/gt auto visit, not immediately
18. In GT Auto during paint animation electric cars have generic petrol engine sound. (Not sure on this one as all cars have the generic sound anyway)
NEW 19. Photo filters change certain setting back to default when changed.
20.Rubber left on road on static weather and time tracks does not receive shadows in tunnels, so it shines too much.
NEW 21. B-Spec Monaco drivers hit the barriers to much and a slight change in path may be needed.
NEW 22. Cars appear to have body roll when stationary
23. With no added weight ballast affects the car. No one sure if done on purpose.

Note: It is known that some cars when reducing power will go up in PP (Toyota 7 Special Vertigo Speed 12 and more). This is not thought of as a bug because the car is believed not to be able to handle all the power.

It is also known some speedometers go "off the clock". Most of these are believed to be correct as they do this in real life.

I would say 22 is fixed. I'm driving Nürburgring A LOT, and I frequently got this until v2.04, I think. After that - never again.

I would say 22 is fixed. I'm driving Nürburgring A LOT, and I frequently got this until v2.04, I think. After that - never again.

As was earlier mentioned, the quantity of identical items isn't right, I have exact same paint chips being given separate appearance slots and quantities e.g.;

Gold Chrome - 3
Gold Chrome - 1

aren't they the same?? :confused:

I wanna add in that there is an issue in the private lounge where one user cannot see someone on my friends list in the lounge and/or while racing.

Nurburgring 24 hour, entire track is slow to load up, and disappears in. Went through the final sector before the long straight, and the track had disappeaered. I could drive, but there was no road texture showing.

Same here on the backups. Just putting this stuff out there and if none of the hm bugs are mentioned will be removed after a while.

Yes the chromes are the same and a very annoying bug. Amazed more people have not picked up on it.

Also going to add the wheel glitch as heard about it before a lot and the ring bugs to hm. Also moved the ending music entry to hm as hard to define as bug. Also made a note private lounge is affected by the invisible drivers bug.

#7 is due to lag. That has been discussed before.

Also, SSRX (Speed Test) will fail to load sometimes (after running a few times) and will black screen. You need to quit the game. You will lose all progress.
 

Maybe read before rushing to try to grief someone because your miserable? The last thread has not been updated since Feb. and I don't have Abraxas's account info

Jakhole are you referencing single player when all the cars pop at once instead of one by one?

Slash I now a lot of these are probably lag based besides major #7 but I feel obligated to list them as they could still get some type of fix. SSR X bug will be added.

Regarding honourable mention 1, what can sometimes happen is that some drivers have wet track conditions while other have it dry, which is definitely race breaking as driving without a wet track is obviously much easier. This usually shows a small amount of water coming from the tires out of a dry track for the driver without rain.
 
PLEASE ADD THIS , shadows cast on Grand valley by the scenery do not work.. EX. a shadow cast by an overpass will not be cast on the car , same applies to everything on the track.
 
57. Reverse lights don't work on Golf VI (premium). Its a bug as most standards are the ones with no reverse lights.

I got an update on the Gold VI, it turns out that the right reverse light turns on as a fog light only in rain/snow while the left one turns on in reverse.

However, if thats what it is, then the reverse light effect needs to be for the left reverse light, like the Mini Cooper Countrymamn has for the right, heres an example:

reverse light on only on right. otherwise they need to fix it where both reverse lights are on.

39.Toyota 86 GT '12 - analog speedometer doesn't have limiter and goes beyond scale all the way back to 0

This is common on japanese cars.

I had a car with a top speed of about 260kph after it got de-restricted, but the speedo only went to 180kph.
 
Okay will edit the reverse light entry.
QB1o do speedometers go back to zero? That's the issue. A lot of cars go of clock and that is normal.
 
Got a course maker one for you. Sometimes on the first and last sector the sector width can exceed the actual width of the corners adjacent to the main straight. If you rub up against the outside wall it will suck in and trap you behind an invisible wall. You'll have to restart or quit to dislodge your car.

People with large garages (over 1000 cars) can experience MAJOR lag times and freezing problems online, regardless of connection. I have incredibly high-speed fiber optic internet (makes cable/DSL broadband look like dial-up) thanks to one of my ISP's big wig executives living down the street and having the whole street hooked up for a much faster connection than you can normally get. Let's just say I know it's not my internet, it's definitely the game.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that every car has body roll when stationary. I don't know how a vehicle can experience body roll when it's not moving and it looks kind of weird when I take photos of my car being still and I can see body roll :confused:

But In real life the Range Rover Sport that sits in my driveway doesn't roll when the steering is turned and not moving. :confused:

Also every last GT5 car thumbnail doesn't show cars having body roll :sly:

DN-X course maker and Scion bugs added/edited. I will put body roll in hr but not too sure if I want to keep it there. Any one else got an opinion for it?

Also anyone else have any of the hr postings happen to you?

I may do a Lag /online bug section to split it up a little better soon as it seems it may be needed.

Not so visible on the STi CS400, but the two Honda Civics show what I'm talking about quite well :grumpy:

I fail to see what you mean with body roll on the photos :confused:


To the OP, I'm not sure wether it's a bug or not, but on the camera mode if I set the apperture to something like f/ 2.8 and the EV to 1.3 for example, and if I press
triangle.png
to open the menu to change the filters or something, those values will change to f/2.0 and 1.0. That's seriously anoying when I want to take multiple shots and have to re set those values all the time :grumpy:
 
Tried the Monaco b spec race many times, it needs changing. My driver always hits the barriers and especially at the chicane after the tunnel.

I presume there's a set course that the cars take around the track, I think PD need to move it away from the barriers a bit.
