Subaru takes shot at VW with new ad
Subaru has used a new full-page ad to take a shot at rival Volkswagen and its “Fast” advertising campaign. The television commercials and print ads show a single shot of the Subaru WRX Sti with the caption, “When you go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, you don’t need a made-up character called Fast. It’s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.” One must wonder if Subaru was a little peeved by Volkswagen’s Unpimp Your Auto ad campaign, which mock hood scoops and spoilers.
There's a camera behind the sign.PupikThe RS6 outdoor ad makes no sence to me. Maybe if the car was there...
Yeah, I figured out the speed camera ad right away. What I could NOT figure out, at all, was the inexplicable presence of a 1973 Buick Riviera in England.Poverty
For a moment there, I thought that pic had to be from Massachusets, or perhaps Virginia, as the foliage and the sight of an old Buick coupe (?) couldn't possibly occur across the pond.DukeYeah, I figured out the speed camera ad right away. PupikPerhaps it was rebadged as an Opel?
Traditionally, Enzo used racing as the sole source of advertisement for his cars. Then again, that's all he made them forharrytuttleKudos to anyone who can find authentic supercar ads (from the manufacturer, not a specialist dealer). I can't find so much as a Ferrari ad anywhere. Porsche is around, but I can't find any 959 ads, although I know they exist.
👍SageAs much as I dislike the Mercedes GL-class, I think their crash-test ad is easily the best ad on TV today the first time I saw it, I literally burst out laughing (which I almost never do when watching TV, by the way). Too bad the NAD has its collective head so far up its ass it cant see what an awesome commercial this is.

Oooops, you said CAR, right?
DukeThe Toyota one is a ripoff of somebody else's, where a couple keeps getting up earlier and earlier in order to be the first one to get the car. Mercury Mountaineer, maybe? Kinda reminds me of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, too!
LOL at the last ad with the couple meeting each other at the stoplight!
ArkangelThat little girl creeps me out. Looks like a murderer
