The Furai is a 450hp concept racecar from Mazda. It is powered by the next generation RENESIS which is a 3 Rotor rotary engine fueled by ethanol. It's body design is a descendant of the Mazda Taiki concept family's Nagare Design Language, which was premiered at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. Mazda plans to have a 750hp version by next year. As far as I know, they have not commented on whether or not they have plans to re-enter the Le Mans. Though, as far as I know Rotary Engine based cars are still barred from entering the Le Mans after the 787B's win in 1991; due to their significant edge in power to weight ratio.

I would die if they had this car in GT5... Although... if they don't spend the time to make it sound proper I'd say they might as well not even do it. I mean sure it looks nice; there are lots of cars that look nice. It is the sound that is the spirit of this car. There are lots of cars that sound nice too, but very few are as beautifully unique as a high RPM 3 or 4 rotor rotary engine tuned for racing. This is the 787B's amazing sound now highly refined and very clean... even at idle... it sounds almost like a growl and when it revs it "barks."
