If you have golden Iron Grip on Hyper you have a huge advantage. But there are still 127k players ranked right now, which is a lot for a non car summit.

Custom Show plague has infested the Box community as well. At least it's safer now to put custom liveries since there's no way to get in top 10.

There's really no way the custom show can function as a meaningful real contest for livery designers anyway, as your car is in there for so little time when it first appears. I'm not sure exactly how long it is, but it's in the region of 5 minutes. I've seen it claimed that if your car gets no votes in that time, it will never appear again. The number of people who will look at it in those 5 minutes is tiny, so the only way to get a decent number of votes is with a co-operative pool of people who all vote for each other in that 5 minute window, like the pictures show.

We could create our own group here, but we're split across the platforms. One reason I got another copy of the game was to be able to vote for myself from another account in that 5 minute window.

One thing I tried on the other account this week is to get platinum in the summit with only green parts and without using legend points. I also had very limited cars, so I was doing the feats with an ST2 car that was at 750, and my plane and drift car were nowhere near max performance number. It was extremely hard to get platinum like this, I scraped into the top 10k but probably wouldn't be there at the end. Just using 15 legend points for skilled and hothead or slippery, whichever one the max multiplier is, made a big difference, and I'd probably stay in platinum with the extra points from that. TBH I'd say there's really no reason for even a new player to try to do the summit like that, it's very easy to just get skilled on a few pink parts. With pink parts and 40 legend points to get full skilled, I was in the top 2k.

I've enjoyed some of the events a lot this week. The clean racing time trials are really good, and I particularly enjoyed the one with the drift car where I got into the top 10 on the leaderboard. Manual gears make a big difference for some of them, e.g. for the ones with Scotto's car you get past the AI massively faster at the start with manual gears vs auto, making it much easier to keep the full clean race bonus.

Edit: Having said I enjoyed the drift car time trial (Z Smoke Trail), I'd love to know how it's possible to go 14 seconds faster than my time, which is currently 25th. The YouTube videos of the full summit by Trigger, Akor and Ryno all have performances that are below me on the leaderboard, yet someone has done 2:59 to my 3:13. I know I'm not an alien but it seems like an insane time gap.

Nice that we got the Elite Bundle for Christmas and I really like the One. But the 06 in hypercar division just feels wrong. Why do they need to put now both the C7 and C8 in two different classes? Maybe is just nitpicking but every time I look at 06 I just see another Donut Vette. Merry Christmas everyone!

Got 1390k for this week's summit, 231st at the moment. Bought a few parts for the AM DBS before using it, and had to take a photo as the car just looks so fantastic.

On an alt account, did the summit using 3 loan vehicles, but it was looking a bit tight, was only 6000-7000th, with each loan vehicle event losing about 40k summit points vs main account. Bought the Porsche 718 Spyder and that got me to top 4000, plus you can recoup some of the cost as it lets you do two weekly challenges that you can't do without having at least one car from the bundle.

I'm at 1312k and last time I checked I was around 2282nd hopefully that will be enough to get the summit car but I have noticed the summits getting harder and harder recently to get top 10k but so far never missed out on a summit car yet so 🤞 I don't miss this one.

This weeks summit looking tricky i got the addon Xmas and was working on getting a set of the new smash bonus thingy but 4 are loaned cars anyway. what's the best way to go with the set nitro/skillz or both the hit bonuses?

They're all loaned cars or fair pvp, so there's no parts benefit for anything other than the feats. It's a pretty silly summit, IMO, as all you have to do is take your time a bit and a very high score is basically guaranteed. I'm at 1429k (318th at the time of posting) and I just did one attempt per event for most of them. For the time trials, you do use your own car, even though it's fair pvp, so while parts affixes don't matter, you can fit the best tyres and the wide body parts. Legend points still apply for the fair pvp summit events.
