Grrr they just broke my game ffs the ps5 just patched the game to a different version than the server so i can't play anymore

"Sony presented a patch last night to some players that doesn't exist or exist yet. Therefore it broke the game and prevents you from logging in. From what I can tell, there's an option to update later, see what that does, but do not update. It causes this 0_1_3, which isn't fixable and it's a weekend."

Tuesday being April 1st and this week Summit in TC2 makes me worried. Those trolls at Ivory are unpredictable. No, I'm scarred for real. 🤣

'bout that, I apologize. I have some slight tantrums from time to time. I'll do my best to not do it again.

Update: Looking forward to see if Offline mode will/could be announced soon. I wouldn't be surprised if TC2 and TCM would have mods for PC version after a year or two after the game stops support.

I think we will only see offline mode when Ubisoft wants to pull the plug out of the servers.

I hope they don’t do that anytime soon with TC2 since I still use it as a “feeder” game for vanities to TCM.

Apparently they fixed it but you have to reinstall or wait until wed

Don't talk to me about that bloody April Fools summit in TC2 ! Actually, apart from that stupid (and impossible) hovercraft versus motocross race, the rest of the summit I found enjoyable.

It's taken me >6 months of playing TC2 to realise that you can see the next week's summit events and cars that you are missing so you can plan ahead... :😳 I won't be buying that expensive hypercar for next week, so I can buy some other stuff instead. I never get Platinum anyway, as long as I get Gold I'm happy.


TCM update - I ran Offroad 1 for playlist 8, Drift for playlist 9 and am going to do Offroad 2 for playlist 10.

I've got 3 Jasper pictures left to find grrr... I'm being canny - I've got a number of challenge rewards to "collect" but I'm leaving them until the next month rolls over to help ensure level 50.

What are the best Legend points to go for first? I've already got Rich and Iron Grip maxed and will have lots of points to spend on Wednesday - this month I've got to level 41 which I am pleased with.

You have to keep moving them around until you have a huge number.

Skilled is essential for points-based skills such as slaloms.

Iron grip is only relevant for events with tyre wear. When it is relevant, it's generally so important that you also want it in the parts affixes too.

Trawler is important for events where you go through water.

Bended is important for bikes, and again you generally also want it in parts affixes.

Hothead and slippery for drift events, again also in parts affixes.

Rocket and ventilated for events where you're using nitro in the air.

Pure, extra pump, frenetic almost always useful.

Resourceful for events where you're doing a lot of braking.

Drifty for events where you're drifting on corners a lot, e.g. races using a drift car, or rally.

Cluster for drag events.

I might have missed some, as the above is from memory rather than running the game up and going through them.

I did actually manage to do the hovercraft event on a brand new account, to get the 400k followers. I can't do it with the completely un-upgraded vehicle, but a couple of runs of Gator Rush on the easiest difficulty to get a few upgrades and I'm able to win the summit event. You do need to take the route near the finish where you go up the ramps and jump across rooftops, the vehicle is just too slow to take the ground route, so you have to go really slowly and carefully before the first ramp to get lined up.

Thanks for the guidance. Although, I don't do buggering about , so they'll be going on Drifty (as theres a Drift summit coming up) and probably Ventilated for the upcoming jet stuff. I'll probably move the Iron Grip points to Skilled as we're doing Feats every week.

This week Summit is super competitive. Was in 7000th place with 1.330k points. Pushed a little bit more to 1.352k and got to 5000th place. Not sure where to improve honestly.
Custom Show on the other hand was pretty lucky. Everyone I follow got platinum on XBox.
Ready for next week.

Had to spend half the night flying around picking up collectibles (viewpoints, murals, bike helmets, waterfalls) [I'm still missing 1 bloody Jasper Wong artwork which is bloody irritating but found the sneaky ones by Rabbit Island tonight] - managed to get enough of the challenges completed, with a Custom Race in the WW2 plane to finish off the last 20k XP , to earn my first one of these...

It's taken a lot of effort 👌 but I can wear it with pride!

I might just try to do 2 events for Main Stage.

I'm actually quite enjoying it, it feels very exciting. I probably wouldn't play like this if I didn't have to, but it's fine if it's the same for everyone. And I've said it before, but it's miles better to have something fresh like this than the identical chores in FH5 week after week.

There was a bug last month where people received the wrong KTM, so we're supposed to be getting the correct bike this month. It doesn't seem to be linked to getting the BMW - I just got that on one account, but still don't have the KTM Power Track Edition, so it must be given at another stage.

It was the KTM before the patch yesterday (with sorting fix) and the BMW afterwards. You probably already unlocked rank 3 of that before the patch. 😅

I’m a bit bored with the custom show this week. I don’t want to mess with the liveries and Pirelli tyres of my RBxx arsenal, that only limits it to 2 other possible cars then: the blue disruption RB and that American Petrol Creators APG, but I don’t want to mess with those liveries either. 😅 So I just added some vanities and put them on for all 3 platforms. But after the bikes (and AGP not so long ago), it’s yet another custom show with a very limited amount of customisation (now no rooftops, dashboards or window tints 😒).

Already looking forward to next week which will be German drift cars. I already prepared something nice for the M4 Red Bull DriftBrothers and will probably get another BMW and one of the RUFs prepared as well (one for each platform). Speaking of platforms, for both PC and Xbox it seems rather easy to get platinum, just self-voting for 7 days with the occasional 1 or 2 extra votes is already enough for platinum. For PS4/5 it’s another beast and the same situation will most likely only give gold there.

It's like @breyzipp said. They changed the reward during maintenance or after the patch. The KTM was showing as a prize for Explorer. And I got the bike before the patch.
I do remember the main stage reward had a picture of the Power Track Edition but not the name.

The Summit was more fun than I anticipated. I struggle with cockpit view in normal cars in racing games as the car gets in the way of my view (when your driving irl you focus through the windscreen and don't even "see" the car). However I forgot that the F1 cockpit doesn't actually have any car in it (other than the nose)

Hoovered up all the main stage points for the week, so I can spend the rest of my time doing other stuff. Unlocked Fast Travel with Offroad 2.

Off to Hollywood next... First up The Italian Job Mini, which is about as Hollywood as you get /s

Nothing wrong with that. It's just curious they put a rare bike that you can't buy before the update and replaced it with a bike from the autoshow.
This bike in particular has the same stats as the other KTM, doesn't have unique parts and one can recreate the paint job if he wants. It's just rare.

Woohoo! Found the last one flying around Norhwest of Pearl Harbor.

I've started working through some challenges, done 20 out of 25 for Donk vs Lowrider. The last 5 require a crew or 200 consecutive "hits" on the music rally thing (which I'm never gonna get )

Working through the Donut ones next. Spent ages trying to land a plane in the cupola then remembered I had the TC2 Helicopter :dumbass:

The game looks so amazing just hovering around in the helicopter really let's you enjoy it. 👌 Can't believe they can get the Series S looking so good!

Have completed 22/25 Donut challenges now, just 15th in Grand Race and 2 crew challenges left undone.

Rather irritating me that the Japan challenges all require night time, as I was going to do them next. Maybe I'll alternate them with Offroad ones. I've worked out its an hourly time cycle with night at the top of the hour - spent 90 boring minutes watching it cycle for the Donk/Lowrider photos

I have done everything. So right now Summits and CS are the only things that keeps me coming back. Ok, occasionally cruising with randoms is still fun. But I kind of don't want to take a reward that I already have. At the same time I want to compete. Am I stressing myself over nothing?

I really miss the discovery part, gonna mitigate and try out forza horizon in a couple of weeks. Im greedy for more motorfest content too, at least we know its brewing away.

Definitely it's nothing to be stressed about. Take a break and play something else for a week. Then you can come back the week afterwards feeling refreshed 👍

Looks like they forgot to hide the rewards for the next playlist.

In the helmet menu you can see the helmets that can be earned in the next playlist, and by selecting it we can see all the events in the next playlist, as well as some images of the new Red Bull vehicle.
