What is nice is that before they bake in a final state there will be iterations and a chance for feedback, according to the vid. That is very gamer friendly and makes me happy as motorfest is one of my all time faves and will get the same end of life.

Or instead of making the game cycle through past summits, it could allow players to permanently access any past summit they want. Or they could do something like Motorfest main stage legacy and the prestige ticket shop.
There are 200 different Summits in the Crew 2, of those 50 have a car price. If they are going to put those in the game I think it's going to have a Legacy form. On top of that they could put back all the Motorpasses. I'm still afraid they will just make a solo mode without online functions. No shop, no pvp guy, no big screen for Summit and personal leaderboards.

HI guys the wheel arrived setting it up was easy enough apart from the firmware update that was a nightmare the standard way didn't work (new thrustmaster panel) i think i sorted it buy using an updated firmware installer i came across searching Google :banghead:.
Did a few gt7 races to see what the fuss is about then went on MF after a few tweaks it felt at least as good as before and the wheels a lot smoother and precise i haven't lost any pace in the summit events anyway and once i set the pedals up better i started to improve.

I wasn't going to risk online first session but did something change ? there were 2 options to chose before the race col off or weather as it was col off i tried my luck 🤞 and got the lucky pole muhaaaaa

honestly no way i should have won that but a wins a WIN

I hope the Race Creator will be available in Offline mode in TC2 but I doubt so. Would love to create some tracks even if I was the only one to drive them while offline. Edit: Me and my Senior Dad who loves cars would love to race custom tracks offline! :D

Another edit: With Offline mode I'll be able to finally do a cross-country road trip without players ramming or inviting me when they see me! 😃

Didn't manage to make the car exactly the same angle, or have the exact same wheels, but it's pretty close - a Mini GT 1:64 Zonda F vs the same car in Motorfest:

I just noticed something. The Treasure Sniffer set doesn't work anymore. I was trying to get some more parts for the chopper and noticed it's broken. Which is a little bit unfortunate since tomorrow the Jet is coming. Which means I'm going to grind normally doing events.
Speaking of Jet, today is the grand reveal. And it looks like it's going to be fast and loud.

There was apparently some sort of bug/glitch/exploit relating to treasure sniffer sets, so they disabled them till they fix that.

I know some people don't like the non-car elements of the game, but I quite like the extra variety
+1.
We live in an age where many racing games, including Motorfest, can't avoid being "Forza-Horizon-ish," but the Crew series has the unique ability to allow players to enjoy a variety of vehicles other than cars, which is a unique feature that Forza doesn't have, so I hope they continue to cherish it.

Just as helicopters have returned, I sincerely hope that jet sprints and hovercraft will also return, and that one day we will be able to enjoy Motorfest as a celebration of a wider variety of vehicles.

Really liking the Jet, but it needs it's own events. Some custom events are really hard to complete in the jet. Which makes most of events not suitable for parts farming. And of course the RNG will make you trow the controller.
I'm farming the Red Wings event which takes 1' 40" and gives you 4 parts. It's still a pain. For example got 5 gold parts for Throttle already but only one pink for Exhaust. So I can't even merge those. I'm not angry... not yet! 🤣

God dammit i spent all that money on the wheel only to be forced to fly GRRRRR i rage quit life 😂
The jet seems pretty cool but you do need to use the brake to get around some of them turns and the heli is still a
nightmare For me. What works best for you guys assisted or not

Not assisted for me. Actually I have no idea how can you drive a plane, jet or heli when the game is constantly trying to level your vehicle.

Quite a funny thing is happening on XBox right now. So apparently there need to be 1000 cars registered for Custom Show to start. But since there are only 800 entries so far nothing happened in the last 8h. You can see others running around, but there are only Motorfest Vehicles shown. 🤣

I had a few goes last night, and was able to do what I think is a decent time for the summit jet event, judging by the people who were near me on the leaderboard.

My thinking is that the normal planes kind of fall downwards, the helicopters kind of fall upwards, but the jet kind of does neither. If that sentence makes no sense to you, maybe it will if you use them again and observe how they behave with what I said in mind.

The next thing I noticed is the jet is ridiculously slow at yaw, but fast at roll and pitch. So how I did it is I just didn't use yaw. Because the jet kind of ignores gravity, you can just roll the plane so the direction you want to go is always up, and move the stick down to change direction. I didn't invent this idea, it's a common way for people to learn to control the car in Rocket League, using just a single stick direction while rolling the car in the air.

I don't know if this is the best way to do it or not, but I just looked at how Akor did it, and he seemed to do it the same way:

Well after spending a few days on Horizon Ive been back on motorfest this morning, Ive missed many of motorfests features when playing Horizon. Both games are great gameplay, but I think one game has got its nose in front. Motorfest is the clear winner it has taken FH best features expanded and improved them. Ive badly missed boosting, rewind that works effectively, swapping vehicle types, easy map navigation, clearly marked event hubs, car upgrades that are actually meaningful.... Dont get me wrong Horizon is great, but it has been usurped by a title that is more compelling and vibrant (one that doesn't let your car beach itself on rocks strewn all over the map... wow!)

Got to say this weeks summit was trash didn't bother with it at all.

There are some good ideas at least, like using boat races for planes. But the helicopter races, speed trap and that escape skill are peak garbage. This Summit is even worse than that storm themed one a few months ago, with that terrible boat race. 😂

On the other side the Crew 2 has one of the best Summits ever this week. And apparently now every two weeks there is a car prize Summit.

Nice ive not looked at crew 2 yet, cheers for the heads up.

Me and my girlfriend started playing Motorfest. I was a huge fan of TC2, she wasn't really getting into it. But Motorfest on the otherhand? WOW! There are not many games which put so much love into the world of cars!

Most of the games have a storyline, some racing and that's it.

Motorfest on the otherhand tells you stories about the japanese car culture, the JDM legends, the US muscle cars, let's you appreciate the world of german engineering from Porsche, let's you discover the islands of Hawaii and their stories etc.

This makes it one of my favourite games with all the faults and quirks it has!
Same with Gran Turismo 7. So much love towards cars!

I know this isn't possible because UBI/IVT doesn't develop consoles like Microsoft does and is a "small" company compared to them, but the "History of Video Games and Cars" playlist seen in Forza Horizon 4 is one of the things I'd like to see at Motorfest.

Outrun, Chase HQ, Ridge Racer, Daytona USA, Crazy Taxi, Sega Rally... Cars that have appeared in (or are very similar to) the worlds of some of the greatest video games are already on the Motorfest car list.

We're taking a look back at these cars and the great racing games of the past, and as a reward for completing all the stories in this playlist, we'll be rewarded with a legendary Challenger "Tanner" Editon...

Yes, the way the playlists take you through aspects of the history of cars and car culture is great, the Porsche and Lambo playlists are two of my favourites. I agree about GT7, too - there are aspects of the game I'm not keen on, though I'd buy it again instantly if they released it on PC, but it also has a wonderfully unique feel and character.

You probably already know, but if you want to perform the Cobra figure you need to hold on X(square on PS or extreme mode button) while breaking and pull the left stick. No idea how to do it if using a wheel. 😅
Also really glad they put an ordinary jet too so I can fly my personal Frecce Tricolori.

Hi guys I keep on asking if the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 Joystick has been supported yet like it was on crew2
so i thought i'd plug it in again and try we've had a few updates since my last try and BOOO it still didn't work correctly out the box so I went in and played with the options in the wheel remapping section for the planes and after a few trial and errors I got it working "perfectly". The planes worked great and heli is still crap 😆 but it's a lot more flyable although a few buttons might be missing i didn't find the rewind button so keep the controller handy

here's a pic of the setting i used

I got around top 600 in the TCM summit with an alt account that barely even had max number helicopter parts. A couple of things helped me:

1. For the escape, I just couldn't do it unless I went to 1st person view as it's too hard to keep the plane just above the ground.

2. In the helicopter event where you go up high, then down a steep descent, just skip the gate at the bottom of the descent and instead head straight for the next one, which is much higher. It only penalises you 2 seconds, you save way more time than that by just skipping it (I took over 10 seconds off my total time). If you think this is an exploit, I don't make the rules, I'm just optimising how I fly the course based on the rules the game sets.

For anyone who doesn't know, the new custom bundle that is available tomorrow has the golden stripes tyres, and these are the joint best tyres in the game, equal to roffo red line. I like them because they give you a lot more colour scheme options for the car that look good with the tyres when you have 2 usable tyres to choose from. However, you can possibly get them cheaper if you find a car in the custom show that has them on, and it has nothing else on that costs crew credits. If buying the custom bundle for crew credits, you should always buy the car with normal credits first, as that reduces the crew credit cost of the bundle accordingly.
