The Crew: Wild Run Edition

What is the best Raid car? I suppose it's not RWD...
From what ive heard, some of the best options for Raid cars include the Ford Mustang and the Buggy. Also all cars get converted to 4WD when they become raid spec so there isn't a RWD only one :)

Some of the other mentioned cars, the Silverado isn't too bad and the Focus is pretty good from what I have heard though. Sadly the RT35 is a joke right now, which is a shame because its such good fun to drive. the 3400K instead is one of the better raid cars of the 20 raid vehicles in the game, I dont use it much myself though, i usually just go with anything when i feel like it (right now im enjoying the Countryman and BMW Z4, which are about mid-pack) :P

From my extensive research (Googling), there's always an expensive one and a relatively cheap option. For example, the best Circuit spec car is the SLS, but the Ford GT is just as good and much cheaper.

In terms of best Circuit cars, you are correct about the Ford GT, but the SLS AMG im not sure, i know that the Ferrari 458 is consdered the absolute best circuit car, but its locked to season pass only and I refuse to use that car or even fully tune it for that alone. Other good cars in the Circuit class are pretty varied to an extent though, from the C63 AMG, Mini Cooper, Dodge Ram, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Viper (brakes are awful though), Lamborghini Gallarado and a few others I probably failed to mention.

I'm up to level 46 and still driving my Nissan 370z.
This game is one of the best driving games I've played.
The feel of driving is great and the events are fun and challenging.
I keep on driving around to find a challenge just to see what I get and if it improves my car.
I highly recommend this if you just want to have some great fun.

The SLS is not. But for the 458 and Ford GT they are miles better than the SLS with the Gallardo relatively close to them two.

Protip, get to level 50 and you'll unlock the ability to go after platinum medals and parts which can take your car to the current maximum performance level of 1299.

Even after you've got a maxed out car, keep going with it to unlock all the other parts with bonuses, you'll know when you got them all for a spec when you have 4 level 50 platinum parts with different bonuses in each of the 11 part categories.

After that, you can buy the parts you want for all vehicles with that spec without having to build up each car by grinding again.

Platinum Street spec parts are the cheapest at 6,500 each with the discount perk for Street parts maxed out.

Drag,Drift and Monster specs are the most expensive at 45K for one level 50 platinum part IIRC.

And that's not even considering how much it costs to buy all the biker attire for the bikes, long story short it's over seven figures to buy all of it for all specs.

My advice? max out whatever spec your 370Z's is and start grinding cash so you're ready for when the level cap goes up and the new Diamond parts come out, which is when the latest expansion comes out.

Hmm...

So uh... what do you do after you finish the story? What's the best way to level up cars? The "Smart Loot" mechanic is like the opposite of smart.

There's a jump in Chicago that's too easy, I grinded it to max out many of my specs as well as all the unlockable paints and stickers.

Not sure if it's changed over time, but that's a good place to start. :D

So anyone here managed to collect all the cars in the game (without upgrading or tuning each one to the max)?

I probably have close to 15 cars purchased, and most of the cars are expensive.

I have quite a few cars, but most of them are from the Season Pass. Hunting down the most expensive cars will probably need some grinding.

Same here. Most of my cars are from the Season Pass (my favorites are the 458 and C7). I got the BRZ and M4 recently, and working on getting my Mazdas.

I'm also saving money for when Calling all Units arrives. I am DYING to make my city's Charger SRT-8 police car.

As it stands with exception to some of the Extreme specs, I have all the cars and bikes in street,Perf,Dirt,Raid and Circuit specs.

Some are fully built, but most aren't as I'm also saving money for when the level cap increases alongside the Cop Expansion.

How you may ask? grinding the Street spec Bonus event at the end of each faction war.

Should you wish to do the same, here's a few tips.

  • Have all the perks that increase payouts. ( or all perks in general to be sure. :P )
  • Use a car that, (A) you're comfortable with and (B) has not just level 50 Platiunum parts, but all bonuses too, this way you always get a cash bonus instead of a car part.
Follow those tips and you'll get 66k IIRC plus another 15 or 16k in bonuses which equals to just over 80K PER RUN and each run can be done in under 4:30 mins easily with practice.

Crunch the numbers and that's good money per hour there. ;)

Used to be much more before the update.
Would of been 66K x2 if you had all the parts and everything.
That or Highway child at 176x2.

After update it's like what you said 66K base with only a 20% increase if all parts. Would equal to 79,400 (More if lucky from the summit and get a 20% added to that)

Highway child is 176K base with a 20% increase would net around 211,200 for 50 minutes. (Again more if you are on the 20% added.)

I found quite an interesting thing. When I was using the photo mode glitch to go to the Western Coast of Canada, the bottom right text which shows the location says "Default WIP, NO_LOCA_" Instead of "West Coast, Nothern Pacific Ocean" This only happened on the coast. If you go into the woods, it just says you're in the Northern Cascades.

wut? You sir are my hero

Free for all people who played WR before CAU,

Which they announced the price of CAU of 25$.
However if you have the "free" game you can get CAU and WR for 25$
Ultimate edition would be 49.99$

Wait, so if I paid full price for The Crew and full price for Wild Run then CAU is free or the Skyline R35 is free?

Yes i think if you bought wild run regardless of the price you pay, you should still get the Nissian GTR for free.

It's only the Nissan that you get for free. If you have played Wild run BEFORE the release of CAU.

But it's kinda sad that people who got the game for free this month can get both WR and CAU for 25$ while people who paid for the game and WR would have to pay another 25$ for CAU.

If I bought The Crew Complete Edition (includes WR) before CAU do I still get the GT-R?

Also, $25 is very steep for CAU

Calling All Units expansion sounds a lot like the more recent NFS titles (Hot Pursuit, Rivals...). I wonder if the devs will take cues from those games.

I love the exploration aspect of this game and the scale of it is fantastic, but i keep finding myself really disappointed with the quality of the graphics,i know photo mode looks fantastic but in game graphics are mediocre for me when i go and look for a landmark etc. This would be an awesome game if it had the quality graphics and textures of GTA V lets say. Anyone else feel like this?

I think as long as you play one part of WR expansion you should be able to get it.
(Unsure)

Yes 25$ is very much expensive especially when WR was also 25$
But the new players who got the game free from last month would only need to pay 25$ For both WR and CAU. (Giving the older players a bad crap end of it)
