The downtuning of AI cars to meet race requirements is really upsetting

Example, let's say a car is rated at 535pp stock. Let's say race requirements for a particularly race maybe under 530pp. So why does the AI pick a higher pp car and turn down the power to meet the race requirements? It's really annoying and cheap. Nobody downgrades a stock car that's never been modded! Since their doing this they should at least make it realistic with cars that have available smaller engine options in real life only. Example, to lower the pp of a Mustang GT let us swap out the 5.0v8 for the V6 that's a real option for that car. Do it right or don't do it at all. God I hope GT Sport addresses this.

They don't de-tune them, they break the regulations. It's done to compensate for the AI's lack of ability to go fast round the corners.
