Like the other guy said N100 doesn't work beyond a certain point. I tend to do 20-24 hour races which might be the problem. It might work with shorter races.

Anyway, I've instead been using N500 Xbow vs. Gr.4 opponents at Blue Moon bay speedway. It's like 7 million for a 24 hour race.

Thanks for the info... 7mil is a good return.

Hey everyone

Thanks to the 1.28 update, the Mazda RX500 downgraded to N200 give us a 170% bonus. Add the 50% clean race bonus and you get a total of
405 000 Credits or 2 025 000 an hour ! :D

Important precision, I tried with my Fanatec CSL Elite so I don't know if you can go fast enough with the DS4 Controller.

Here are my settings:
- Weight reduction down to the lowest so 90 (-10), upgrade with millage points to 3. Low weight is your best friend. [765 Kg]
- Power down to 99 (-1), it should change to N200 at this point. [248 Cv]
- Super soft tires FR & RR
- Ride Height 100 FR & RR
- Natural Frequency 2.15 FR & RR
- Anti Roll bar 7 FR 6 RR
- Damping Ratio (Compression) 63 FR & RR
- Damping Ratio (Rebond) 93 FR & RR
- Camber Angle 0 FR & RR
- Toe Angle 0 FR & RR
(No downforce)
- LSD 60
- LSD 60
- LSD 60
Gearbox tutorial:
1/ Set Final to max 5.500
2/ Set Top Speed to the lowest 150 Kmh or 94mph
3/ Set Final to 2.773 (Can be improved IMO)
4/ 1st 2.431 2nd 2.073 3rd 1.785 4th 1.520 5th 1.298

NOTE: My settings are very quickly made so any improvements are welcome :) And as always settings are up to you and your driving style so feel free to adjust the settings to your liking.

HOW THE CAR BEHAVE ? Very stable. Instant full throttle without TC is absolutely no worry. Very very light car. You can brake very very late without much worry. Hardly any understeer only if you're going round Turn 1 and Turn 3 on the limit of the grip of Super soft tires.

Few more advices and tips:

- Avoid the LaFerrari ! You can beat the Veyron though right on the last lap last corner ! So make sure to block the Veyron on the straight (If the AI bumps you from the back you won't loose any clean racing bonus)
- Slipstream when you can !
- Low 49"xxx secondes required. 49"7 without slipstream can happen so don't worry to much because you can balance the loss of time with a 48"7xx with slipstream. You need to gain about 3 secondes per lap to the leader.
- To negotiate Turn 1, brake slightly after the 100 m board and trail brake into the corner. Accelerate early out of the corner pretty much before the apex.
- To negotiate Turn 3, lift the throttle (no need to brake or very slightly if you're not confident) then accelerate again like turn 1 before the apex.
- Careful with the pack of group cars mainly Huracan - MP4-12C - Viper GTS - 458 Italia. They really can slow you down and make you loose your clean racing bonus

You got it, top speed is a key factor. No secret: slow in, fast out.
Best of luck ! I would like hear from your tries. :)

Nice find!!!!
Do you like your diff set up very tight like that? I tried my Xbow like that as per someones set up info and it made the car very, very loose thru turn 3, especially when backing off the throttle slightly.

I can't stand grinding on a triangle for hours on end. Last week I figured out that the N200 2000GT on RSS tires could easily win at Dragon Trail and get 405,000 credits in about18min. I know it takes longer than Blue Moon bay but its actually fun and I get 405,000 almost every time, unless I roll over from hitting the curbs. I've actually only rolled twice I think? But once was last night and I still managed first place, just no clean race bonus hahaha. Can't wait to try the RX500 though!!!!!!

That's in the article that this is the discussion thread for, but with an N200 Alpine A110...

I have been doing the Merc F1 races, they pay well with a clean race bonus, $360k I believe, they take 15-20 minutes depending on track and its a challenge to get the clean race bonus so its kinda fun. The AI try to run into you on purpose I think and with the way the AI always taps the brakes on corner exit it really keeps you on your feet.

How about the other races in Nostalgic series, arent they also giving a high payout and maybe ok to mix in if I still want a high pay out but can live with a litle less for the added varience of racing on other tracks ?

Monza race gives you same 240k (with clean race) while being barely over 8 minutes long, so you can mix Monza and LeMans if you like. Saint-Croix is quite longer, over 11 minutes i think it was

@Tob Racer Was messing with RX500 too, i barely made under 51 second laps (50.8-50.9 seconds), which is not enough. Will try your setup tomorrow, see how it goes :)

I tried Dragon Trail with the Alpine but even on full stiff suspension it was too loose and an N200 E30 wasn't fast enough to win every time. I had been doing it with an N300 M4 but the 2000GT is such a joy to drive and I actually have a good time earning 405,000 credits. I've been trying to get at least one race in a night and I'm about 2/3 of the way to getting the Shelby so I can finally do the Nostalgic series!!!!!!! If I only have time for one race a night I just can't do it on Blue Moon, its so boring........

Can the new Alfa win the nostalgic races fully upgraded?
I've only been trying out the Alfa on le Mans. So far, unfortunately, no. In one race, I finished in 2nd place, 8 seconds behind a P4. One concern is where the highest placed P4 is starting out. The higher it starts, the smaller the chance is to win in the Alfa.

Me: Okay, I have a LaFerrari in this race. I think I can overtake it!

Me, some minutes later: ... Oh, that's what they meant...

E - 12:30.409 versus the Veyron, One-77, and Veneno. Beat the Veyron at the last turn. :D

It sounds like to me that a fully upgraded model against a weak field may be in with a chance? Hope the rabbit get into an accident etc.

Would love to see the replay of this done?

Funny you say that.. i know that in one of the opponent "setups," an XJ13 crashes into a Mustang and causes a huge wreck about a mile into the long straightaway.

As for the video... I'm gonna need some time for Le Mans with the Alfa. It might be doable with the other tracks. The Alfa is great with turns but has very poor acceleration.

...I think 330P4 in Nostalgic La Sarthe is the fastest way for now.

BTW don't try Alfa Romeo TZ2 on Nostalgic, you will be obliterated...
My TZ2 did a 4.45 totally stock. I passed ONE car. I need to find a whole minute I thought to myself. Soft race tyres, max BHP (not many), minimum weight, 592 kg and 180 ish mph auto set gave me a 4.04. no other setup work. It might be doable. 19 more seconds needed, most of which are lost on the straight at 175 mph. Not very much horsepower to work with though.

If you have to buy the Mazda (0.5Mio), with the first 13 victories (c/w bonus) you shouold have the same money with the KTM and in more time too, this due to the difference of price (KTM 100k credits).

I managed with TZ2 ~3:52, but it is way off... and of course it is clean race :)

Compare this time to 330P4, my best for now is ~3:17...

I was 6th. The AI does a four minute lap. If you can do a 3:45 you should win.

...problem is that AI does both laps in around 7-7:20, depending on first 4-5 AI cars. So this means you need to be hitting at least 3:30-3:40s to win... Reason, you are behind like 15-20s at start...

It is now possible with the 1.28 refuelling glitch to exploit Custom Race again... but...

With the maximum 2x fuel multiplier you need a lot of laps/time. Most of the AI cars will make it to 45 minutes just fine. They'll easily hit 8 laps completed in an hour's endurance race, with the two Toyotas running longest. So if you're running an N100, you'll need a minimum of two hours on the clock and a car that can do 11 minute laps - that should offset the initial loss of three minutes per lap and give you the five minutes per lap advantage you need for the second hour... but...

The longer the race in custom race, the less the reward. This method will get you 1.26m and 10,000XP for the two hour race. That rises to 1.89m and 15k XP with the clean race bonus, but a clean race bonus in a two hour endurance at the Nurburgring? Yeah, good luck with that.

You can't really exploit it well in GT League due to the class restrictions.

@rex1825 @Tired Tyres Seeing as you guys tried the car out, how much HP it makes on Stage 5?

If you mean Alfa TZ2, it can't drop weight much more, no need to spend MP, but for power, it can only hit approx 250hp... and there are only 3 stages, also not so expensive as other high value cars...

@Famine I think it is not worth at all, since you can make around 4mils with current methods :)

If anyone is looking to go fast while making fast Cr.:

48 minutes in Gr. 1 Professional, nets 990,000. Just over an hour gives 1.32.
If you just race without Clean Bonus(CB), it's 660k- Interesting, it takes the same time to complete Gr. 3 at Bathurst, for the same 660k.

Use any Gr. 1. Plenty of time to over take cars and just keep it clean. No need to divebomb or worry about AI catching up after you've gained P1.

Stay off walls at Tokyo. Any contact only gives the base 220k.

Slight contact with AI, hasn't negated my Clean races.

Edit: Now that the AMG F1 doesn't spin out any longer, 13:56.xxx nets 360k in the Fuji Race 4.

I've been messing with Premium Lounge - Blue Moon Bay with the RX500. I was racing with the Veyron starting in 1st, F40 2nd, and One-77 in 3rd, and wasn't able to beat the Veyron. However, I just did a race with the F40 starting 1st, Veneno 2nd, and Veyron 3rd, and was able to finish 1st with 12:31. So when racing with the Veyron, its starting position is crucial.

Gonna go ahead and try to update that one chart I made a while back.

In summary:

3rd. RX500 @ BMB: 405000 / 12.5 = 32400 / minute
2nd. KTM @ BMB : 375000 / 11.5 = 32608 / minute
1st. 330 @ Sarthe: 240000 / 7 = 34285 / minute

Note that I rounded down the laptimes for BMB (my records for KTM is 11 minutes 37 seconds), and rounded up the laptimes for Sarthe (my record so far is 6 minutes 41 seconds), so the Sarthe race is actually slightly more profitable than the numbers above show. Keep in mind also that the RX500 can only win if the LaFerrari is not present, so you will waste time quitting in and out to get a good grid.

Alfa TZ2 cannot win Sarthe unless the leading 330 gets nerfed somehow. You just lose too much time on the straight on second lap due to lack of cars to draft. Cobra is still the cheapest car that can win it, so save your money for that. Until PD decides to bring back the 2J in the next update, maybe :P (costs 4,5 million in GT6).
