We have moved to Ring Rats:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/ring-rats-redux.381977/
For a long time I have waited for the next great, fun, realistic, Endurance series. Well it never showed up, so we did it ourselves. It is the result of a collaboration of drivers of all ability levels to challenge the Alien and please the Gentleman driver. We have picked three very popular car classes, the 2016 GT500s (Group 2), the GT3 ( Group 3) and GT4 (group4). We have scheduled it to draw from all over the world, Sunday afternoons at 1330 Central US. Read the introduction below and post here if you are interested
The Endurance World Tour
This month : Le Mans 2+24 hours
Open to drivers of ALL ability and experience level
The Tour is a Pro/Am endurance championship/series of one race at each circuit that holds or held FIA or WEC Endurance Races (13 Races so far).
Races will be on the second Sunday of the month on at 1330 central US. Races will be a minimum of 90 minutes with selected venues featuring two and two and one half hours.
The Cars
Room settings and liveries
The Tracks- This order and race lengths are tentative. We will attempt to mirror the order of the most appropriate FIA or WEC season that had the majority of our tracks. Also, should any real tracks , such as Spa and/or Silverstone arrive Autopolis will be replaced as will Nurburgring GP if necessary. The idea is to get the included tracks as close to the classic series order as possible. Maximum series length will be13 races unless new tracks are added.
The Championships
.
Championship unique elements
Mandatory 5 min pit stop (90 minute races have one, all others have two).
Procedure:Enter pits, touch nothing. When elapsed timer in the upper right hits 5 min you hit the appropriate button to start your stop. If you leave early you will pit next lap and complete the stop.
Causing a collision. If you, through contact or car placement, cause another driver to have an accident causing damage that requires him to pit for repairs, YOU WILL follow him to the pits, make a pit stop, and then, upon exiting the pits, wait for him to finish his pit stop and repairs, allow him to pass, and, then, resume racing.
Entry, Start and Room Procedures
Communication.
Room hosts will have Tour 1.
Personal chats should have the word Tour in them so Moderators can enter the rooms from time to time to update drivers on changes if necessary.
Always leave an empty slot in the chat to allow a Moderator to enter to give your chat instructions as necessary.
Should a start or race need to be aborted the Host will post "Abort, Abort".
When in doubt watch the Tour Conversation for information.
Room hosts will also have a DISCORD
Chat open. Others may join if they wish.

All races will have an entry list.
You may not race if you have not entered.
Entries must be posted by the Wednesday before the race
To enter post on this Thread with the usual data form.
If you are tentative indicate that you are a reserve.
The entry list will be maintained and posted periodically on this thread.
If multiple rooms are required a room list will be posted on the Friday before the race.
We use the Practice/Qualify/Race setting. Note that there is no time between Qualifying and the race so be Ready to race when the Host starts Qualifying. Also, due to the fact that we use “car repositioning “ you can not park by the side of the road during qualifying. If you wish the stop during qualifying, go to the pits.
We use a Rolling start with a partial single file formation lap during which classes will separate. At all tracks there will be a set "Acceleration Point" where the race will start as each car crosses the start point. You may accelerate as you car crosses the Acceleration Point. You do not have to wait for the car ahead to accelerate. When you cross, you start.
No weaving during the pace before start.
Gr3 pole man will allow the Gr2 field to gain spacing to prevent Gr3 cars from becoming involved with Gr2 first lap accidents.
Classes may be combined into Gr3 if the room does not have 12 drivers. If there are not enough upper class cars to “race” ( 4 or more) classes will be combined.
Additional rooms will be created if there are 20 or more drivers present or 40 or more drivers present. Room split will be odd/even by finishing average. Full points will be be awarded for all rooms with 8 or more drivers. Any room with less than 8 will score 70% points.
If we encounter problems with dancing cars, visibility problems or any other server related driver problems we will abort and reset ONCE. If the same problem recurs we we proceed with the race and the drivers encountering the problems will leave the room.
When we reset the room all drivers will exit the room, reboot their PS4s and delete cache before reentering the room.

POINTS FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Cars in class
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Place 5.00 7.50 8.33 8.75 9.00 9.17 9.29
2. Place 2.50 5.00 6.25 7.00 7.50 7.86
3. Place 1.6 3.75 5.00 5.80 6.43
4. Place 1.25 3.00 4.17 5.00
5. Place 1.00 2.50 3.57
6. Place 0.83 2.14
7. Place 0.71
How it works:
A driver earn more pionts, if there are more drivers in his class - like shown above. If he is the only driver in his class, he gets 5,00 points after he finished the race. It doesn´t matter on wich place he finished the race - he just win his class!
For example:
A class 1 driver is the only one in his class. He win the race, because he has the fastest car. He will get 5.00 points for the victory.
In class 2 there are three drivers. The best one finish the race on 2. place (after the class 1 car). He will get 8.33 points, because he´s the winner of his class.
In class 3 there are six drivers. The best driver at this class can just finish the race at 5. place (because the class 1 and class 2 drivers had faster cars). But this driver will get 9.17 points!
That´s the way this system works. For that reason it´s possible to win the championship even with a small car. The "big bangers" are much faster, but it does not matter. It doesn´t really depend on the class of the car you like to use. It depends on it, how many cars are in your class and on which place you will finish the race in your class.
To avoid cheating and look for a useful class for your own comfort, you have to sign up at least 3 days befor every race. It´s not allowed to choose your class at race day.
You will lose 2 points if you change lane on straights more than one time, maybe to avoid the slipstream for following cars or make it more difficult to them to pass you. That´s unfair and not gentleman like!
