Wow, you're right about the buildings. Even the ones that are connected are different! I'm a little surprised that they use so many flat roofs though. Doesn't Iceland get much snow?

Yes and no. Reykjavik's a bit low and close to the sea - but we did get a dusting on Saturday morning. The rest of Iceland is fair game though - snow as far as the eye can see. Which is about 12 inches at times.

Reykjavik's the most visibly colorful European city I've ever seen. My grandparents were right; it really is pretty.

If I go, it shall be when they have a summer, or when there's more light.
