Ok, this championship is open to anyone. This will be run in normal arcade race (3 laps) and times will be submitted like
Lap 1 -
Lap 2 -
Lap 3 -
Total -
Use one of the following ARCADE cars that you haven't raced in before:
Nissan Z Concept
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II
Subaru Impreza WRX
Mazda RX-7
Mazda RX-8
Toyota Supra RZ
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII

It looks like it's down between me, Fury, and Voltron, so here's our final location for the race. Where do these cars belong, I ask? These are all moderately-priced Japanese rockets, so where else should they be than the mean streets of Japan? Our final race is at the Toyko highway 1. Not my favorite course, but this has to be where the series ends, for this is where the cars must rest at last. So get me your time by Monday, 0100 hours GMT (9 pm eastern time monday.) Get goin'! :burnout:
Whoops, I just realized that I'll be going on a week vacation on Sunday. So can everyone please get me your time by 2000 gmt (3 pm eastern) this Saturday? If that doesn't work for you, can someone else please volunteer to take over this final round? Fury or Voltron, what do you think?

Nice, very fitting for the final race. Expect a pretty good time out of me with my Supra as I have some good experience with the lines of this course. ;)

I'll take time submissions if it's alright with everyone. Else, I could also have my time in by Saturday. Either way is fine with me.

Well ummmm..............

I vote for giving Voltron the time submissions. I probably need all the time I can to get a near perfect run, because a Tokyo-RX-8 combo, from my experience in the Free Run, seems to require a lot of patience. Never have liked Tokyo, as it seems like the walls have magnets that just pull the car toward them. On top of that, the RX-8 is slow off the line and when up to speed, so I can imagine Voltron's Supra will just leave me on the straights.

Yeah, I just got done trying out our remaining cars and the Supra is quite a bit better than the others (with my initial estimate that is). Should be better just based on the fact that it has the top speed advantage and on a course like this...
Let me just say you guys are going to have to drive really well to beat me! :D

Thats real discouraging to hear. As of now, I haven't even done one single race lap. But I shall get on it in a few minutes.

This is getting frustrating.

I keep having to restart the race because I either mess up on the first turn trying to get by the other cars, or smack the wall at the next left-right turn (that one is giving me the most problems). Then, when I finally DO get through those 2 sections clean, I keep messing up at the left before the small straightaway. So far I've only completed the race once. In that run, I had squeaky clean 1st and 2nd laps but of course screwed up on the last lap to mess the whole run up.

Why does this car have to have such wide gear ratios when it is underpowered?

Yeah, that RX-8 is not one of my favorite cars for sure. I also had problems with the first two turns before getting used to the course. I'd just just keep restarting after those turns until I had em down. Then I moved onto the one left you mentioned and it gave me some problems for a bit. Just can't be too agressive and think about exit speed more. That left can be a tough turn to nail and I have yet to get there with the Supra. I'm also needing improvement at the moment on the final 180 turn before the final stretch. frentzey's turned in some impressive times and it's kinda not fair that I have them already but I'd put in the time to get the best I think I could get anyway... we shall see.

Maybe it would only be fair to let you in on frentzey's times but since we didn't clear it with him I most likely will not...

I pm'd him just in case he was online but haven't heard from him yet. I don't know what to tell ya except he did pretty well with the RX7 (I'm assuming because he didn't say and it was the last car available to him). Just work as hard as you would as if you found out that right now his lap times were 3 seconds ahead of yours... or don't even care about it :D Either way, you still only have the RX8 or Evo.. whatever you're using. Me, I'm going to have to keep driving until I can at least beat his times... and maybe I won't even be able to do that (though I am really close right now)! :nervous:

I got in a pretty good time last night, but it can still be improved by a good amount. But like I said before, certain sections of the track are really unforgiving. I hope frentzey's times aren't as good as you say they are.

I have been contemplating on trying to get a real good lap in with the other laps okay. That way, I would get the 2 point bonus for the fastest lap, but you would still win the race. And if that were to happen, we would be in a tie. I would like to see what happens if there is a tie at the end of the series, but now that you say that frentzey has a blazing time in, I might as well throw that thought out the window because I would be in danger of coming in third.

Furrrrrrryyyyyyy... Wake Up!

Dude, I'm gonna need to leave here pretty soon so the sooner I get your times the better. :D

Ok, you're an hour late and I just saw you post in some thread so I'm giving you about 10 more minutes. After that I'll assume you don't want to bother with your times.

Well, apparently not! Argh, I'm so pissed right now... it's all over! Ok, I'm gonna take off (I wished I still smoked) and do the overall results later. Unless someone else wants to do it?
