Yea it's redaction of pluralization, but you can take that to some interesting places.

War of the World.
Did I do it right?

Sure. If you interpret "world" to be a planet, then that's as singular as you go. But you could interpret "world" to be a collective of the species. I did that with Team America: World Police. Because the "police" was implying that the "world" was a collective of people. So then I guess it would be "War of the Person". Likewise a sisterhood can be either thought of as singular or plural.
