Update 5: 28-09-2005

My entry for Kenny's minicar comp week 3, and 2 HM's (they don't get posted in the comp though). It was hard to decide.

5a. 5b. 5c.

Here's the rest of the photoshoot from my entry in the Advanced week 7 comp. I'll post the entry itself when the comp is closed. I'll also add my HM.
Note: since they weren't gonna be my entries, I didn't brush them up as much.

5d. 5e. 5f. 5g.
5h. 5i. 5j.

And here's some more misc stuff. The Bentley being my (unposted, ofcourse) HM for the Rally comp wk 18. And the Cougar... just HAS to be Burgundy! 👍

5k. 5l. 5m. 5n.

That concludes this update... ^^

Update 18-09-'05 GMT3pm:

And there's the reward cake I got ^^ (really!)
Please all have a piece!

Update 3 (18-09-'05):

My winning shot of the PM/PS comp wk19:

My most recent shoot: the Gold Rush (in Paris and Vegas):

3a. 3b. 3c. 3d.

I've quickly edited them with a more limited porgram, not my usual PSP9.

Previous post:

The Le Mans 24 Hours Night shot:

I know it's not perfect. It's kind of a crappy filter/effect (and hard to use). And also the quality seems to be messed up (don't know why, it looked fine on my other computer).
But... I still think it's an awesome picture! Please enjoy.

Here's something else:

Michel Vaillant?
Note that both cars are also French ^^

Hello all! and welcome.

I think it's time to start a gallery, since I have 60+ photos that I think are upload-worthy. The problem is that the computer with internet isn't my base computer, so I gotta transfer everything. I won't upload everything at once, but I'll try to update it quickly.
Here are already a few for starters, to get an idea my style and everything.

I try to be visually artistic (with composition, angle, and retouching), but I'm not really good at capturing simply what goes on on the track, you know (which many here are very good at), but oh well.... betsuni iiyo.
I use Paint Shop Pro 9 to retouch/edit my photos. It's a brilliant program, but for some reason I just can't achieve that realism many of you here achieve with PS. I'm not unexperienced with image editing, and PSP is a very good program, so I'm not sure what's up... anyone knows more about this?

Most photos are 1024x768
Since I care mostly about the aesthetics of cars, finding the right wheels (and wing) is a sub-hobby of mine in GT4.
Constructive criticism would be highly appreciated :)

1a. 2a. 2b.

The S2000 was actually my first car in GT4. I accidently over-edited 2a but now it has this cool anime-effect (the car and environment adding up to that). With it, I easely won the Japanese championship which got me the Z Concept LM (I love the Ford GT wheels on it). That car opened the door to many victories, including the tarmar rallies, which got me some good European cars. Only for Tsukuba wet hard I had to use the Z Motul Pitwork, because of it's weight.

Vette out of hell!:
2c. 2d. 1f. 1g.

The '73 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R:
If this is not one of your favorite cars, you shouldn't be playing this game!
2f. 2g. 2h. 2i.

2j. "All together now!":

1b. 1c. 1d. 1e.
1h. 1i. 2e.

My sweet black Evo TME customised for the photoshop comp.

P.S. My biggest GT4 sub-hobby is collecting classic cars. But the multiple-car photos (in photo travel) in which they best show require a lot of time to make, so I don't have much of that now...

1f. actually had backfire, but it got lost because I didn't know about the bug yet. I have to do it over because it's a great photo, but not even half as great as with backfire.
Photo 1i. was made like that in GT4 (though I did give it a touchup ofcourse).

I can't believe this got no replies.

Cool stuff so far - I like the red rims on the Vette.

By the way I remember you used to edit my black and white pictures and such months ago - you should check out my gallery (link in sig) and see how much I improved.

Looking forward to more!

I didn't know Hondas could go so fast as to dig a hole through solid rock... anyway - I think the last 3 are great. Nice work :)

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting.
Unfortunately I will start college in a few weeks and I'm afraid my GT4 activity will drop very low. Obviously I'll still come here and post/update when I can, but, you know how it goes...

Yeah I like "e" too, but the original photo is also quite interesting. It shows more of a threatning grey sky, and darker woods, you know.
Since a lot of photos are already ready & waiting in my other computer, I'll probably update soon.

WOW... absolutely amazing... The "e" is awesome. So is your red-rimmed Vette. And your 3000GT has great rims too.
I do the same as you. I mean, I also try to find the right rims for every car I have. And I think my 3000GT with white Spoon rims looks totally awesome. But none of my cars are as gorgeous as your Vette. Those rims are just the best for that car.
In short: 👍

Hehe yeah, the Vette. It just looks so "devil" you know. Also the round, pointy wing. With some backfire (it originally had backfire) it just seems to come straight from hell, hehe.
A pitty uploading takes time... I do expect to update tomorrow though...
When I update, do you suggest me to edit my 1st post, or just put the update in a new post? (I'm leaning towards the latter...)

Updated:
- My avatar (woohoow)
- Le Mans 24H Night Shot
- Les Hunaudières
- Nissan 2000GTR 's multiple car shot
(yes, I know the red one's position isn't perfect. It's much easyer to make a good multiple car shot with 2 cars, and the silver one isn't particularly special. But I just want to brag about having 3 of them :sly: )

Je criox que c'est "du Mans" (de+le). Mais um... mois je suis neerlandophone. Ma français n'est pas trés bien aussi.
Demo sukosi nihongoga wakarimasu!

Hoping for more reactions on the Lemans shots (and other too ofcourse)...

J'etais ecrire 'du' mais j'ai pense 'de'

Je suis ecrirer dans le francais parce que c'est Lemans!

Excusez-moi pour mon grammar horrible! oh ho ho ho (french laugh?)

It's correct to say "du Mans", since it is "Les 24 heures du Mans", but it's also fine to say "de Le Mans".

Trust me, french is my primary language. ;)

Div is back
What filter did you use to get that "tunnel" effect? I've been trying to do such things but without success...
I'm using Paint Shop Pro 9, and it has a filter "radial blur". Very useful...
(obviously I had to use layers for the sky and cars).
It's bad you can't do this in GT4, noticed that straight away too. I think it's because the camera in GT4 is always fixed (for a photo that is, not during replay ofcourse). So you can get motion blur from panning, but not from a moving camera position. A real pitty...

I just noticed something in the LeMans shots that shows the blurring was done afterwards (even though it's obvious anyway because it's impossible in GT4). The wheels of the pescarolo aren't blurred ^^. That wouldn't make sence. I guess I *could* perfectly fix that, but... maybe later...

I was kind of hoping also to hear things you don't like about my photos, hehe. So that I can improve, you know.

mprata, You'll most likely get my vote in the photoshop comp 👍 👍
