No...server standby mode is for Grindinating as the host w/ widget or on GT's site.

You don't need the system on.

Dooblewasur is right - only the guy (me) running the grinder needs to be in standby mode. All you need to do is set your driver(s) to share online so the widget picks them up, and you don't need to have your PS3 on.

It was our 20th Anniversary today, so we went to Durango, CO to the Ore House for some KILLER food! I highly suggest the NY Strip In Bone - Medium Rare with a Cracked Pepper Cognac Parmesan sauce.

The widget for Smitty is on it's last few laps, and once that race is over, I need to do a couple of sends and then widget is back on for an overnight session.
