THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, little cars want to prouve they can be big. Last winner @Higny set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

Few weeks ago, we could adapt liveries of usual racing cars to open wheeled cars. This week, your job is the exact opposite. I want you to adapt an existing open-wheeled car livery on a car with a completely different body shape.
An old and very little car.
So the car must be 1965 Fiat 500F, 1966 VW 1200 or 1965 Mini Cooper, and the livery must be a replica of an existing F1 car, whathever the brand or the year.
Replica don't need to be an "exact" replica, which could be difficult due to the difference between the bodies of the cars. You will have to make choices to make the livery the most eye-candy and to fit to the choosen car.

CARS :

- 1965 Fiat 500F, 1966 VW Beetleor 1965 Mini Cooper S only.

LIVERIES :
- Replicas of F1 car from any era.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- The livery must be a replica of an existing F1 car.
- You must post reference photo in the "bonus" spoiler.
- The bonus shot must be in the same angle as the reference photo.
.
BONUS PICTURES SETTINGS :
- No Restrictions, as long as the picture has the same angle as the reference picture.

USER MADE DECALS :
- Allowed.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post one bonus picture in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 3 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

DEADLINE

April 3rd, 2019 (23:59, CEST/GMT+1)

Since I don't watch F1, I know next to nothing about it, so I'll just be looking for a design I like, not caring who the driver/team is.

That's great and quick, man! Looking forward to the reference shot.
"- The bonus shot must be in the same angle as the reference photo."
I didn't see that bit. I'll need to take another picture.

My problem is working out which car is best, design wise. I’m going with a test livery that never seen a race, and has a close link to one of the manufacturers but the body shape is just too much to work with!

I've updated mine (quite) a bit too. The original was a bit rushed, and my failure to read the rule about the bonus shot gave me the opportunity to improve it somewhat.

Hows that? It's practically the same car!

Updated my entry with a link, I sense it might not be the only Benetton Riello Sisley entry in the comp...
You'd be correct. I already had my decals done when I seen yours. Fortunately it's a different livery. Shared mine last night, will get it posted in the morning.

Your's is already better than mine, looks more cohesive.

Don't sell yourself short, that's a sharp livery. I like the brush strokes but what actually made me smile, is the Flying Tigers on the grille. That's cool.

Great idea! (yes I only discovered the new LEC today)

Sorry but for my first F1 related LEC I can't do nothing else than an Ayrton Senna tribute!
