You dont need to resize to 540x480, you only need to downsize so that no side is larger than 640. This way should prevent the image from becoming warped.

@CorvairGuy69 Having done a classic Super GT livery on the new Supra (albeit the Racing Concept), I commend your work. The lining up of the Number Plate between the hood and body is great... but I fear I must remind you of the Sport Mode compatibility stipulation for this round... :scared:
So just reposition the number plate? Sorry. I don't do much of the Sport Mode stuff so I wasn't clear on that

Hard one for me this time.

I don't have time and I don't really like to make a race car based on a road car...

I've tried to do something one shot but I'm not really satisfied and then I restarted everything to make a simple road car! :banghead:

And of course I really don't know which one I'll present! :banghead::banghead:

FINAL ENTRY

I have used the Toyota Celica ISMA as a base for my new livery. It was one of Toyota's race cars in the past, in this vivid racing class.

I used a half mat base for the car to emphasize the link to old racers from the past. But used the normal decals to highlight the new lines on the cars. The lines flow in line with the shape of the car. But still used the old color codes of the stripping.

I was still doubting if I would use the Mat White or Mat black car.

Est. 450 bhp, 2,090 cc turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 99.4 in.

Automobile racing, like all other endeavors in the pursuit of speed, is a display of tension between the immovable forces of nature, human determination, and the framework by which opponents compete. It is the ever-changing tensions between those forces that produce in many the insatiable desire to race. Two men in particular are noteworthy, as they’ve always danced on the edge of what it means to compete with the very best.

In 1964, Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby, both legends larger than this space provides, founded All American Racers (AAR) with the backing of Goodyear tires. From the outset, these seasoned competitors pursued victory with vigor, and by 1970, when Gurney bought out Shelby’s stake, AAR had won as a constructor in both Formula One and Indy Car.

By the early ’80s, the team had won in competitions around the world. Their history of success no doubt attracted Toyota, who was eager to build a racing program around the Celica, to promote the car’s sporting credentials in the United States. While Toyota enjoyed prior success on the world stage in endurance racing and rallying, the most visible road racing series at the time was the IMSA GT Championship.

In 1983, AAR and Toyota entered a partnership to compete in the series’ entry-level GTU class, and by 1985, they had won 10 races. Coinciding with the launch of the next-generation T160 Celica, the decision was made to move up and compete in the GTO, or Grand Touring Over 2.5 liters, class. Here we must mention the framework of competition: the road going Celica was a front-drive compact car, but its competitors in GTO would be the Ford Mustang, the Porsche 911, the Chevrolet Corvette, and other such machines.

This car, chassis 86T-002, was completed in July 1986 and built to, and beyond, the framework of the rulebook. At its heart was the legendary four-cylinder Toyota T engine, which, in various forms, saw duty in everything from Formula Two, Formula Three, Group B rally, and World Rally Championship competition.

The GTO implementation made near 600 horsepower before IMSA-mandated restrictions were added. In a 1999 interview with Sports Compact Car, Gurney describes the IMSA GTO as being “...pretty good, a hairy motor. It was enough to get the job done!”

It is a Celica in name only. In truth, AAR built a tubular space frame machine that had a rear-drive chassis, a rear-mounted Hewland transaxle, and enough bodywork modifications to make a plastic surgeon blush.

After the program concluded in 1989, this car was sold directly by Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. to their championship-winning driver Chris Cord, and it now incorporates all of the latest performance developments, including a revised suspension setup, a carbon fiber body and driveshaft, a more robust gearbox, and aerodynamic improvements. With only three owners from new, including Toyota, this mighty Celica IMSA GTO is being offered from a prominent Southern California collection.

It represents an opportunity to own a championship-winning design that remained competitive until taking its very last checkered flag—not to mention one that’s a rare example of a successful partnership between American engineering talent and Japanese muscle.

Bit of a joke entry. Tried about a dozen times to get something I liked but it wasn't happening.

Only thing I like about this is my DDR logo.

I wouldn't vote for it but if it makes you thirsty, have one for me.

EDIT: Changed the livery as I hated it. Still hate it but not as much.

Here's the link for the livery I think... https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gts...arLivery/livery/3122578/1/7206405987574513720

Cheers

Guys, this are some fine liveries!
Is there a chance to get / find the liveries ingame?

I would really love to use those on the SupraCup! (If allowed)

Hello,

I often see your name among the voters, thanks for your interest in our competition.

Like @PrinsvOranje said, most of the contestants added the link to their liveries in the post or in their signatures.

However, I’ve collected the links already available for now, so you can find the list below. I’ll post the full version in the poll when it will launch.

In red are the profiles I know but where the liveries are not shared yet.
In blue are the profiles I couldn’t find in the game yet.

The number will be the position in the poll and I’ve added a quick description of each livery to find it easily.

Thought I'd get back into this, even if it might just be this once. If anyone's questioning the sharing link, I've got a new account that I'm mainly trying to use the steering wheel on so I made it on there. Pretty sure I'm not gonna make it up top with the other brilliantly detailed liveries submitted.

Spending a lot of time on GT1 back in the day, I grew to love the blue & white race-modified Supra, for the bodykit as well as the livery design. Today, we know that RM was based off the FET Sports Supra that competed in the All-Japan Grand Touring Championship from '95 to '98. The Pandem Supra MkV bodykit kinda resembles the '95/'96 JGTC bodykit, so hopefully with Diego Saito drifting said bodykit around, it'll eventually make it's way to GT Sport.

So this is my almost one shot livery! :D
Almost because I put the bases in one evening a few days ago, and finally added "some" more details tonight, which took me at least as much time as the last night!

Anyway, this is the result, quite improvised with Malongo as main sponsor, which is an old local "coffee maker".

I kept the real red color as base, then added some colors I'm quite familiar with.

I'm a bit short on time this round but wanted to do a homage to Tamiya and the years of fun I've had building, racing and displaying their magnificent models and RC cars. I wanted a real Japanese 'feel' to the design so brought in Tamiya's own mascots, meet Moko Chan and Rabbi Kun, who adorned many model boxes, company art and even models themselves during the 80's and 90's.

I've added some Moko and Rabbi art to my media gallery together with other shots of this car, feel free to take a look!

It's bright and bubbly, hope you enjoy!!
