THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, you will be in charge of a multi-class racing team. Last winner @KK78 set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

I would like you to create your own racing brand, design 2 liveries on 2 different cars from 2 different racing disciplines (Open wheel, GT4, GT3, GT2, GT1, Gr.B and selected Gr.X cars- see below)

Both liveries will be from the same team stable, the liveries can be similar or different but must have the same main sponsors and similar colour/design schemes (so you can easily tell they are from the same racing stable)

You can create a works, corporate or private team, think Monster Energy, Red Bull, Renault Sport, BMW M Racing division...but must be your own design(s)

Strictly no replicas or liveries which are heavily inspired by established racing stables.

CARS :

- 2 cars from different racing disciplines.
- Competitive racing cars only (Gr.4, Gr.3, Gr.2, Gr.1, Gr.B and a selection of Gr.X and N class cars listed below)
- VGT are not permitted, even the Gr.1/Gr.3 versions of them.

- The permitted Group X cars are :
F1500T-A / Pagani Zonda R / Subaru BRZ ’17 / McLaren P1 GTR / Dallara SF19.
- The permitted N class ars are :
Amuse S2000 GT1 / Aston Martin Vulcan / KTM X-Bow / Mazda MX-5 Touring Car / Toyota SFR Racing Concept
- Racing Karts and X2014/X2019 cars are not permitted.

LIVERIES :
- Original designs only, no replicas.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- The two cars must have at least one common sponsor and a similar colour scheme or design (so you can easily tell they are from the same stable)
- The main sponsor and the team name can be existing or original ones, as long as the design itself is original (i.e. you can have a Michelin Racing Team, a Mazda Racing Team, etc)

BONUS PICTURES SETTINGS :
- For this particular round, you'll have to take 7 pictures :
- 4 main pictures in the mandatory scapes :

-> 1 front shot and 1 rear shot of each of your cars.
- 3 bonus pictures :
-> 1 shot of each car in it’s native race environment and a 3rd shot of both cars together.

USER MADE DECALS :
- Allowed.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

I have a bit of a question ref design and layout. I have my own fake team (Saxton Racing) and have made various liveries based around it, two for league races. Ignoring the changing sponsors would the presence of purple, black and white/grey be enough to 'link' these for this competition (obviously I wouldn't enter these I'd make fresh designs)?

My focus is the original design I’ve been running with recently for the team of guys I race with... not sure whether to use or nah

To me it is close enough but don’t forget that they have to be from two different classes.

@Cytoria Just a quick notice that X-Bow is a N-class car, not Gr.X. Also, is Roadster TC allowed?

@KK78 can you precise if the following cars are allowed?

N-class :
- Amuse S2000 GT1
- Aston Martin Vulcan (related to the allowed P1 GTR)
- KTM X-Bow
- Mazda MX-5 Touring Car
- Toyota SFR Racing Concept

Gr. X :
- X2014/X2019 Red Bull cars (I guess not because they are closer to VGTs)

Various :
- Gr.1 or Gr.3 versions of the VGTs (Peugeot, Mazda LM55, Bugatti...)

In answer to your questions;

N-class :
- Amuse S2000 GT1- Yes
- Aston Martin Vulcan (related to the allowed P1 GTR)- Yes
- KTM X-Bow- Yes
- Mazda MX-5 Touring Car- Yes
- Toyota SFR Racing Concept- Yes

Gr. X :
- X2014/X2019 Red Bull cars (I guess not because they are closer to VGTs) No

Various :
- Gr.1 or Gr.3 versions of the VGTs (Peugeot, Mazda LM55, Bugatti...) No

You have total freedom here, using your own brands, made-up brands, decals and colours is up to you, so are are liveries inspired by real-life racing car/team examples (no replicas or close to been replicas) The 2 liveries can be similar (think Falken racing, Rothmans racing etc...) or quite different (think Red Bull/Toro Rosso etc...) but the result you are looking for is 2 cars that clearly look they are from the same racing team stable.

Any other questions let me know.

For the picture’s do we need 2 pics of each car? I kinda assumed we’d put the two cars in one picture?

I think both cars together in the same picture for the White sands/Shiretoko shots so 2 in total

Also....
BONUS PICTURES SETTINGS :
- 3 bonus pictures.

- 1 shot of each car in it’s native race environment and a 3rd of both cars together.

Ok yeah that’s what I assumed, just wanted to make sure 👍

@Cytoria Wait... was there already a LEC35 Poll?

I'm so confused, we have a winner? Hall Of Fame is empty.
Don’t worry. I launched the 36th LEC Wednesday at midnight as usual, but I was very busy so I couldn’t do the poll on Thursday as I usually do. The poll will be online tonight.

FINAL ENTRY
Half The TSR Gone 458 GT3 Half The TSR Gone GTR-LM Nismo
So, this entry was one that just so happened to be in the process as the new LEC came out. My fellow TSR drivers are competing in the IGTL summer championship and I had the role of livery creation. The 458 is the chosen car. With some ideas input from team members I have came up with this.

It’s sporting the TSR.camo in red for the first time in GTSport. We wanted a split livery and weren’t quite sure how to split them and after some messing around, I came up with something that resembles a splash effect? The white part of the livery was intended to take shape as a fighter jet but it ended up becoming more of a secondary camo.. Urban/winter? Possibly, I don’t know.

Please enjoy anyway. I’m in love with these cars and couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!

P.s. the wings on the GTR are a symbol of it’s early passing :nervous:

@Cytoria So, if KK78 is the winner, the poll doesn’t decide the winner- Who does? Is there a judging team? I’m sorry for sounding like a complete idiot if it’s obvious. I’m curious how I myself can win and pick the next category!

The winner of the week 35 is designed by the poll and will get to chose the theme for the next LEC 37. The current LEC 36 theme was chosen by the winner of the LEC 34 (which was KK78). This ensure that we have no wait between two rounds during the poll, the decision and the definition of the theme.

Try uploading the images to gtplanet? The quality is really reduced!
Strange as I’ve uploaded them the same way as before, which is that I upload them onto here...
if need be I can redo the main pictures?
