With the recent issues of liveries/decals not loading and users not being able to share livery designs, would it perhaps be sensible to extend the deadline for those who haven't entered or shared their entries yet? @Cytoria, how is your Mini coming along?

Right. I need to make an edit to mine.

The competition will be extended as long as the issue with the online services will not be solved.

To add to that, I will not launch the new competition tonight, because we don’t know yet how long it will take. It’s the holiday season so if we loose one week of the competition, it might not be an issue for everyone.

Thanks for your patience, and...

MERRY CHRISTMAS !

:gtpflag::cheers:

Finally I could upload my decals and finish my livery...

For this theme I wanted to do something fun, so I went with this "M&M's" livery, which refers to "Mini & Mini 's". I've imagined a french tuneshop/workshop specialized in little english cars. The numberplate "7" is also a reminder of the other name of the Mini, the Austin Seven.

I've chosen to add secondary sponsors too to make it more realistic, but they are very limited.

Althought it doesn't seem to match the car, the driver suit is an easter egg too : the chocolate color echoes the chocolate inside the colorful candy (and it doesn't melt in the hand... of the mechanics).

FINAL ENTRY

My design is all about Mini attitude. Do what you want your way, and not care if your design fits the mold of cool.

The roof Union Jack is angled, and sloppy. The rear Union Jacks match the look and attitude of the roof graphics. The angry look of the number plate, and the name are like walking into a library and screaming obscenities.

LOVE it mate. You embraced the "It's the 60s/70s, you can and you should go wild and funky with your design" part of the brief too, which I think is very important in this one.

This is PUNK ROCK..love it!

As you may have seen, I’ve extended the delay to January 1st.

But for the next theme or another, we’ll have three weeks again, because I can’t handle both the Photo Mode and Livery Competitions the same week.

Have fun for the end of the year!

I'm a huge fan of small cars.. The tiny racers.. If you talk about KEI car drifting in Japan, the VW Funcup in Europe or the VW Lupo cup we had in the past. It's the purest form of racing and everywhere you look, teams and drivers don't take themselves too serious. That's why you see many teams and drivers with little gags and funny decals on their cars. Yukino Suzuka Racing had the same idea by subscribing for the GTplanet Mini Cup.. That front grill.. It was such a blank spot on the car.. He, the Mini, needed some attitude.. with some inspiration from Monster Mutt, the YS-Racing Mini stuck his tounge out, thirsty for the 1st position !
