The GT6 Save Editor Thread

Nvm i figured it out. you go to the licence tests for each league and it gives you the license automatically
Yea, you have to go through the menus for it to fully update your stats in game, I forget the exact process. I am going to add an FAQ's section to the OP soon to address stuff like this so people will know.
Oh wow, how crazy that this error pops up for the GT5 save editor as well. I think the save editor for both needs to be updated or something.
Like I said in the GT5 thread, if you can click "Details" and show us what it says, the creator might be able to figure it out.

Now that the issue with the GT5 editor is resolved, you think maybe you can provide some details on the error you got with this editor as well?

Oh. I'm not going to deal with GT6. (Never thought of doing this method in the first place) I was commenting on how crazy that you can get the same error comparing to the GT5 editor.

I downloaded the Editor, tested on (latest) ver 1.22 PS3 and it works great except for 15th Anni DLC cars which is a shame because I really want those.

Thanks OP for sharing the file though.

Been working on a new editor which will be able to add those too. Unfortunately it's a slow progress project so not sure when I'll be able to release it. Meanwhile if you give me your save, I can add them manually for you.

You, are a legend, sir. Thank you x 1,000,000 for this editor! I can finally try out the most expensive cars and get a ton of colors thanks to you!

Can you add those cars without the store licensing? Also, how should I post my save?

Yeah, works without a license the same way as with the GT5 Save Editor of mine. We've been doing some testing with Sonygamer and it seems like there's two different ways to get them to work even without a license. You can zip your save and post it in this thread (or any other site like mega.nz or mediafire, etc.).

A request of mine, if it's okay, do you think it would be possible to change PP on a selected car with the new editor, please?

Oh and SonyGamer is also a legend!! A 1,000,000 thanks to you too!

That's amazing to hear, below is my save. If it works, you'll make my day :D

If you mean changing the PP to be able to use the car in races with PP restriction, then there might be a chance for that but I haven't tested. Likely if it it works, there will be a reset issue at some point though (the modified PP resetting to original one). As an example I changed a flag indicating that a car has dirt/snow tires even though the car can't have those. After changing those flags to true, it allowed me to go to dirt track with "Sports: Soft" equipped. It however got reset back to not allowing it after I entered the Car Settings page. I would imagine the same would happen to the PP value (if it even works in the first place). Will have to be tested...

Thanks, will do the edits when back home from work (don't have the necessary tools here). Should be in about 7-8 hours.

Take your time bud, no rush.
Here, test if this save works and if the DLC cars work. I didn't add any new cars but your invalid cars (all anniversary cars you had) should now be re-validated and they should be working. I did stuff manually so there's a chance I did something wrong, so let me know if it works or not.

You're welcome! :) Like Razerman mentioned, I have been helping him out by doing some tests with the DLC cars myself. While things are different with GT6's DLC compared to GT5's, they can be obtained just by save editing, and like his GT5 editor, the cars are legit.

I will have a tutorial up on how to get these cars whenever his new editor is released, but as Razerman mentioned, I have no clue when that will happen.

Thanks boss, the save loads up beautifully without any errors, I tested all the cars by equipping them one by one then test drive to see if there's any visual bug/glitches. So far, everything works great!

has anyone had succes modding cars? whenever I try the car seems to just go back to the usual stats despite me like selecting other parts for it.

I have talked to the creator about this before and he told me that they pretty much already had measures taken against hybriding when the game came out. However, the weird thing about it is he says you can use them when online but they would reset at some point when used offline. Seeing as the servers have been shut down since 2018, I don't think there is an easy way to do it anymore, unfortunately.

I have just the disc version with 0 updates installed. will I still have that issue? its not as much fun withouth being able to swap engines n stuff.

From my understanding, yes you will.
Really? but how did all these people I saw modding the cars on the internet get it done? do you just need the GT6 HE editor, is that the only tool that works or something then(for modding cars)? but sadly I could not find that tool anymore

Like I mentioned earlier:

That was apparently how people did it back in the day and I think it was with the Hybrid Editor you mentioned, but without the servers, I am not certain such a thing is possible anymore. Worth noting the creator of this also has something similar to the GT6 HE, but I don't remember the name of it and it only works for jailbroken consoles.

I will admit, I am not very familiar with hybriding in GT6. Back in the day, it was confined only to jailbroken consoles, and since I didn't get jailbreak on mine until 2018, long past the time when people were hybriding in GT6, I had mostly missed out on it.

This save editor has not received any more updates? 🤔
Now that the emulator has received many improvements it is possible to play version 1.05 at 60fps, I hope one day to be able to play version 1.22 stably and with the Spec II Mod.

I too look forward to trying out his new editor whenever it's ready. He tends to be pretty busy though, so I have no clue when it will be released.

I've talked to him lately and he told me the current GT6 save editor was his first coding project and the code is horrific. :P I imagine it's just easier for him to start fresh than try to patch up this one.

Thousands of paint colors along with racing car exclusives (XJR-9 Purple, anyone? Damn I love this purple!!) and the ability to obtain any car is actually really good to me! I hope y'all enjoy creating this and have fun!
