GTP musicians/artists! Do you write music?
I wanted to make a thread similar to the "rate the above song" thread, but with all GTP originals!
If you have ever created a piece of art or music, whether that be just written lyrics, a YouTube video of your newest virtuoso guitar piece, your bands latest track, or an electronic song made on fruity loops, POST IT!
Then rate the above submission 1-10, and be sure to leave a least a little detailed feedback, Be honest but tactful, remember these are people's creations. Don't post without rating!
Thought it would be cool to see the various musical talents of our community.
Ill start it off with some lyrics for a song I'm currently in the process of recording. Ill post the audio when it's done!
Falling Short Of Going Too Far
Stay out of my way oh
I just can't stay here
I live my life on the run and this one is too slow
Walking to the city beat downtown
All the world passing by then she turns me around
I see a look in her eye that you just can't explain
And you don't know for certain but you think something's changed
Because I take what I want
It always goes the same way
I'm on top of the world well at least for today
I see it coming apart
Will it crumble and fall?
I really couldn't care less since she's taking it off
I'm in the back of the car with my head on the glass
As the light shines through the rain from every streetlight we pass
I'm just too tired to think that I shouldn't be here
When the music drones softly from the car radio
And it's all that I hear as I'm falling asleep
Now I think I'm gonna....go
Because I take what I want
It always goes the same way
I'm on top of the world well at least for today
Tonight's the big show
Maybe ill see you there
The band is on the stage but they just don't compare
To the glare in your eyes when you're looking at me
When the lights go off you are all I can see
Now the music died out and you're walking my way
I feel your kiss
Now I think I'm gonna stay
Because you're all that I want
