I answered the call and then it just told me it was trying to fix the connection or something. I was scared you'd all hear me talking to myself through a hidden microphone in my computer so I hung up.

Just fyi my headset is pretty useless for my laptop, which is wrecked lol.

Looked good in the shop but I get told it's rather fuzzy by friends on Skype.. :ouch:

The majority of in-built laptop ones are bloody awful.

They always pick up the speaker noise, so you get insane echoing and then it starts to get feedback, ends up making screeching noises because people turn on the voice enhancing setting. The problem with that is, once you stop speaking, it's still looking for your voice to enhance, so it ends up picking up other noises. That's when ears start to bleed.
 
Skype is killing my computer. Everytime I use it, the computer starts making an awful racket and I can barely hear anything in my room. Ironically, I had a dream that Skype was the reason my old computer was blue screening. :scared:

My laptop webcam and microphone seem to actually work okay on Skype. But then again anything that works somewhere near consistently is good in my eyes ;) Anyone on there now?

My computer barely plays Facebook games. Sometimes even YouTube gets it whining. Skype doesn't need to be big to annoy my computer. :P

My computer refused to play videos on YouTube and wouldn't play games. I just bought a £300 laptop and now things are easier. So yeah I agree with Callum... Beg or Buy! We should set up a Katiegan fund :dopey:

If we had the money I would. The laptop downstairs is an ancient HP TC4400, which looks like this. The screen flips round and clips on to the keyboard so you can use it as a tablet, that's really the only decent thing about it. The battery doesn't work without being plugged in anymore and I can make two cups of tea in the time it takes to load anything. I don't even drink tea.
