Damn, that sucks Kevin! I thought you had all of the cars. Sorry you couldn't make it, hopefully iRacing will fix this for the next build.

Thats alright, i just think its weird because ive raced in other series where you didnt need all the cars. How did the race go? Results?

For right now in hosted/league races you have to own all the cars. Hopefully they change that soon. I think participation would be significantly higher if they did.

My race was fairly uneventful, Darren and I had a decent little battle for the first half but then he went off the track and it was just hotlapping from then on out.

I need to get a spare room for my rig. Having it in the living room means my 2yr old son is constantly trying to get my attention and making for a major distraction. I kept losing focus and making little mistakes. Oh well, 3rd place isn't bad, although I was hoping for more people. I wonder what happened to everyone?

Can we just pretend i wasn't in that race please lol. Just disastrous on my part.

Made i slight bump requiring me to pit (could of easily went on). After coming out of pits i ran over the yellow curb causing my wheel to be offside. SO pitted again but didnt fix it. So next lap pitted again to wait 3 mins in pits. All this before lap 9 lol. After that i just lost focus.

Must redeem myself next week quickly cause im a insult to noobs haha

That's a race to forget for me... The GT field was pretty close wich is a good thing!
Results can be found here:

My race was fairly uneventful, Darren and I had a decent little battle for the first half, but then I tricked him into outbraking himself into turn 1. *Darren: Just some advice, you altered your braking point A LOT when you were trying to outbrake me, don't do that, if you brake a little later that's fine, but if you try to push it too much you are going to run off the track every time*

Let me give you a little advice, I could have easily put you into the wall. However I am a nice guy and I chose not to, next time I promise you it will be different. See you tomorrow. :)

Don't go there, superbike knows all remember?

But don't worry! He is only trying to help ;)

Someone upload a replay, I want to watch the race! I might be interested in doing some commentary actually - interested in my aussie accent?

Well just ordered a t500, RIP Fanatec

I'm sure you'll enjoy the T500, from what I hear it's a great wheel. Will you be using the T500 pedals or different ones? Too bad about your Fanatec wheel and the race though. Are you going to at least try to get it repaired so you can sell it? Or is it out of the warranty period?

its the old 911 wheel, I've had it for years, I loved it. I've been wanting to upgrade for a long time now and I've read amazing things about the t500. Ill be using my CSP's with the new wheel and my DSD bent rod.

Honestly I have nothing bad to say about Fanatec, I loved that wheel, but like everything mechanical it doesn't last forever!

And I had a blast in the race! I was trying hard to catch Eric, I had a crowd of people at my apartment loving watching the race!

Was a intense hunt from you and a good race for many laps. To bad technical issues stopped it. You were faster than me, but did more mistakes, but after you got caught cutting the bus stop you didn't gain so much on me there. So it it would have been close I guess, but we will never know :(

I do have the T500 and it's awesome, but it need love and care. I had some problems with mine, but after a few hick ups it always work in the end and it gives a great feel. Thrustmaster sent me a new PCB so I could replace it, and guess what. My wheel started to work after that. So I still have the PCB in the box it came with. Until my wheel start to mess up again I guess..

I guess the T500 have it's own life.. I guess it felt the spare part arriving and though OK, now it's time to work!! :scared:

Anyway Good race everyone. Good track sharing from the GT drivers and it was never a problem passing the guys in the GT class. I was a bit unsure how you started though Blaine. Normally I'm used to go on green, but someone go before. You started to go, then waited and went again on Green. I got really scared I would get a car into the rear when I had to let go of the throttle there.

Yeah that was my mistake, I jumped the gun when the pace car left the track, well deserved win on your behave, I made 3 big mistakes that gave you big leads, I had no issues catching you until the last mistake, I was gaining between .1/.2 seconds a lap with about 20 minutes remaining so it would have been close! oh well, my new wheel should be here by next friday, can't wait to try again! Congrats buddy!

Watching you guys run 1:38's and 1:39's was fun. I broke into the 1:40.xx twice, but they were both .9xx's.

Now that the race is over, would one of you faster DP guys mind posting your setup? I just want to see the difference in how it feels compared to the one I downloaded from the iRacing forums.

LOL! Give me a break man, you weren't even there and you have nothing to do with this conversation.

The guy outbrakes himself straight off the track and then says next time he'll put me in the wall.

Yet you insult me? You are a gigantic tool, no doubt about it.

superman81, don't you ever tire of giving advice? I think at some point you might, I don't know if I ever seen a member (iRacing) that has hurled more insults than you.

You have like 5000 comments over at iRacing forum and at least half of them are you either insulting someone or you giving your steadfast advice. Have you ever stopped to think for one minute that most people do NOT want to hear it.

BTW, for the record, I did not out break myself, my left foot slipped off of the brake. I often left foot brake, I knew from the second you cut to my inside how it was going to play out. I did make a mistake but sorry to burst your swollen head, it was only a slip.

Also from as far back as I can remember you have been insulting Willy here on this forum. Sure he often says whats on his mind and it is not always pretty but he is honest and never gives unsolicited advice.

Hey Blaine, good race. You certainly gave Erik a run for the money. So your wheel crapped out during the race? Too frickin bad man. It's nice to see Eerik with some good competition, especially another Canuck.

You are the one to catch in the Riley's for this series Erik. I think I have raced 4 or 5 times with you now and you are as fast as anyone I have raced with. Congratulations on another victory.

Well every DP driver signed up haven't shown up yet, but I know Doug Lierle is a lot faster than me. Raced him a few times and his in another division :)

Thanks again for the Congratulations and yes Blaine was making the race really interesting for me. After 28 laps we both pitted. We where at this point close together and the pit was simultaneously. Really sorry his wheel broke and after I saw he disconnected I went into "safe mode" as I had more than a lap on the next one. But safe mode isn't safe. I lost focus and really had to concentrate to get back into the "zone" I almost spun in the bus stop chicane passing a GT car just before it. Not something I usually find very challenging.

But thanks for putting me up there.. the pressure is on I see :P

Ya, I have raced some of these guys also. Last week at RA I finished in 10th out of 26, guys like Ryan Fields and Chad Holmes, I don't stand a chance against them, BTW Doug Lierle finished in 9th.

Download the David scott setups from the iracing forums, I ran my PB tonight on his race setup with 17L fuel, he has a god given talent with setups for the DP

I'm not going to ruin this thread any further, I'm putting Left888 on my ignore list to avoid this kind of problem in the future. Sorry Jav, didn't mean to bring the beef he has with me into our league, I figured it might be a problem though. If it continues or spills over into the races I'll drop out for the good of the league.

I'm going to go back and edit my posts, I hope the other guys will too in order to clean up the thread.

I had a great time this morning (errr evening for most of you guys) and I look forward to a great season of racing!

Just like you, love to stir the pot and now you want everyone to clean up their post's. :) You know, I knew when I came to the forum tonight you would have your advice for me (as you called it)

You had some fast times until you hit the curb, I had that happen to me once and with my T500 I found if I brought up the control panel and change the overall strength it reduced the wobble somewhat. The worst thing about it is in pit road there was no showing of other damages so there was nothing to fix.

Why keep the CSPs over the T500 set :(

I constantly monitor my throttle % when using CSPs. I always expect it to drop mid race.

the fear!!!!

Sorry I bailed. Well, you lot are probably not sorry I bailed at all! I was all over the track.

Not really sure why I was unable to stay pointing in the right direction. Did quite a few hours of testing and ran clean for 20 laps without too many problems. But got to the race and the standard setting I'd been testing with failed because it was to low. So loaded Jav's setup and set out. Just could not keep the thing on the track. I'm claiming it was the ballast messed me up but it may well just be a massive talent shortfall.

I'll miss next week for a wedding but be back the week after. If I'm still 2 seconds off the pace and spinning like an amphetamine driven merry-go-round I shall bow out ungracefully and watch the series from afar.

Paul, I think I might have just caught you slightly when coming back on the track, if that's what caused your race to go badly, many apologies.

Jav, you are a star for putting all this together - as always.

Did some testing at Okayama tonight with the DP (I haven't raced this track since my rookie MX5 days) and I must say I really enjoy driving this circuit, and usually tight tracks with the DP aren't what I like!

So far my PB is 124.886, and I'm holding fairly consistent at 125.3xx but I still need many hours of practice, and fine tuning my setup.

Anyone else care sharing there lap times? I'm not entirely sure what the benchmark here is, thanks!
