??? (Are you doing team points?)

Stick me as a reserve since I don't have a lot of the tracks.

are you going to be providing cts-v setups as well jav?

I'll post up everything I have! I can also do some baselines for everyone to work with for each track.
thx and in which rhythm will the races be?

Sorry I don't understand what you mean by rythm.

Not really doing a team championship, but people do like to colaborate and team up for setups and stuff.

I think he meant how often do we race, not like this championship looks like a beat box, but the races will repeat itself on Saturdays. So I guess you can call that a rhythm :)

A slow one in the beat box world, but often enough for sim racer's ;)

No worries! We will race on a weekly basis.

Seems like great fun, wish I had time to join you guys. Maybe on S4.

You'll be more than welcome to join us! If you see us practicing during the week feel free to jump in and do some laps if you'd like!

Just to voice my opinion, I think the current ballast system sucks. Its fine that you want to slow down the GT, I don't think it should be in the same class as the Cadillac because they aren't on the same scale as a race car. But mostly its a problem because you can't test the car in it's as-raced condition without being in a paid hosted session. We're using a fuel capacity restriction in the CESCS league, but that's not a huge deal because I can start off with that same amount of fuel in a practice, I just can't force myself to refuel to the exact level if I want to practice and time a pitstop, though filling to the nearest gallon would be close enough.

I hate to be a pain. Any word on dates?
Damn! I knew I was forgeting something! We're looking at starting September 15 with the season opener!

I agree it is a pain at the moment, but hopefully 3 6hr practice sessions during the week will be enough for everyone to get it right.

Setups added on post 2 under each car's picture:

The Ford GT will need some ride height adjustments when ballast is used. I can post the modified setups I'll be using wich are originally made by Niek Versteege.

That's what I've been using, he did a setup for every track in S2 and I like his the best by far, (from the few tracks I've tried)

Awesome setups and strangely enough the added weight of the ballast makes the car feel a lot better, all the twitchyness goes away!

I wonder where the sim puts the ballast? The GT seems to benefit from a full fuel load anyway. I always run full fuel when I'm trying to get some seat time with it. The fuel cell is in the front so that helps balance it out.

Not all the cars are going to have a real location to put ballast, I think. The skip probably doesn't run ballast in real life, unless they add enough to make up for differences in driver weight.

Yeah, I know that but the Ford's regulatory weight is high enough for the them to build a lighter car and the place ballast strategically to achieve the regulatory weight.

Can't wait for these races to happen already! I really hope we get a good bunch of drivers. 2.4 hours of Daytona is a lllllooooomnmmggggg race

Thanks Jav

I have a really noob question, how do I test a car? I've always have just done practice.

another noob question, how do I download the setup and add it for my car?

Click on the link, download the win.rar file.

-Save the file in "my documents = = = = > iRacing = = = = = > Setups = = = = > CadillacCTSVR.

-Once saved on the Cadillac file open the file, right click on the win.rar and extract here.

-Once the files are extracted just go to your garage and select the setup you wanna use!

The Late Model has adjustable ballast front to back in sim in normal series', I assume the sim places the 'artificial' ballast on the CG

Under the race tab where you see practice, time trial...etc. just to the left of the race tab it says test, then a new popup window replaces the Race popup window.

Copy the downloaded file go to documents -> iracing -> setups -> car (e.g. CTSVR) and paste there I believe.

We need to do some recruiting, 16 entrants is not enough. In the last series with the Caddy we had 35 entrants and were only getting 10-12 per race.
