Forgot about this thread... and have the perfect car to post.
993RSR
Porsche made somewhere between 20 and 30 original 993 RSRs, Fresinger were then commissioned to make 7 more (built from the ground up with all genuine RSR parts from Porsche motorsport). 6 went to various race teams round the world and the 7'th saved for the son of a special customer of Fresinger. This car had to be road legal and employ a host of extra goodies. This is that car.
The engine had a host of titanium goodies and puts out a proper 390bhp (up from 360 bhp). The car weighs 1040kg dry and had carbon fibre bonnet, doors, wings, special light weight front and rear bumpers, center lock wheels, air jacks, Macrolan windows all round (except the front), and a special exhaust.
And what I'd like to do to mine (and replace it with a 997 C2S for road use)... 996 modified for track days. Looks pretty much standard, but GT3 (or better) spec parts underneath.
- Intrax titanium adjustable dampers (all round)
- Short shift kit
- Equal length exhaust manifolds
- New M030 ARBs & bushes
- Carbon strut braces front & rear
- Induction kit
- Toyo R888 tyres on refurbished rims
- Steel braided brake lines
- Assorted other bits and pieces
- Full front and rear brake rebuild including new seals etc
