Can't wait!
I don't mean to brag but I have the Red Bull X2010 5G in all 20 colors (both types) and the S. Vettel 5G all modded with dirt and snow tires along with nearly every car in my garage! :D Not going to post them all of course, just the good ones. ;)

Sorry i couldn't find a way to get those tires on after the update.

Just a question by the way. How does the Red Bull even handle in snow? Does it act like it does in grass?

I'd like to see you post that in the "Should PD let the modding slide?" thread. I wonder how quickly one of the idiotic hybrid haters would attack you and call you a pirate.

Do you plan on not double posting anymore?

I quote stuff when i see it, and reply to it as soon as im done typing a reply. If another one pops up after i reply, theres no way i can go back and delete the reply. I can go back and edit it but, if it's after its to late. You do understand that right? If its only one comment there when I look I only quote one. I am at work, so,.... i am doing more important stuff then multiquoting every negative comment. You plan on posting more unhelpfull reply's that arent needed? Your comments arent helping anyone. You do realize that to as well right? You are not helping the situation by replying like this. So why do it? To the right side of every comment near the lower right hand corner tell you something. It tell's you when a user type's a reply its there for all to see. If you just so happen to look at that like i do you would see my replies are at least 5 mins apart. So technically it isnt a double post

You are either posting at gtp or not, and it appears that you are.

Here is how to do it, hit the edit button, cut and paste the next post you want to quote, use this
pasted stuff
. It's not that hard, I think many of us have been guilty of what you are describing at one point or another but making a habit of it is cluttering.

BTW, the flat tires don't look very good, would it really kill the performance to just raise the ride hight a bit?

I go back and edit my posts all the time. I am working too. So what makes you special that you don't have to follow the rules we all agreed to?

Using work as a exuse isn't really relevant. It is really easy to
1. Click quote
2. Select text then copy
3. Go back to your previous post click edit
4. Paste then type your reply.

Watch it in action. Less than 10 seconds. Watch I'll do a demonstration.
Watch this....

Maybe if he isn't lazy he might.

See how easy it is to follow the rules we all agreed to? It's that easy with a phone or a PC.

Did exactly what steps I told you above. That easy.

Yes actually it would i have my suspension set up how i like it raising the car would effect not only the center of balance, but how much the car sways, and my overall susp set up if i could tighten up my sway bars i would. I have tried it works HOW I LIKE IT. You cant get a flat tire in GT5

The last guy covered that already so repeating what he said already is pointless but thank you anyway. What makes you so special that not only you have to type something that was covered already and its not like you care your just replying to be smart

More assumptions yay. You just don't get it HondaJunkie.... But i think this guy here

Maybe because you're not listening.
is right on the money.

Anyway.....

Nice pictures. Looks good without a spoiler.

Later on when i get home i will post a picture of a un hybrided car who's wheels sink through the track just so people will be quite. You do realize that there are some spots on the came that have bad texure maping, and bad terrain mapping. Those spots exist and they are not my fault i did not program the game. You want to complain about that talk to the programmers. If all i have to do is post a pic of a car in spot with bad texture mapping to start a uproar. I suggest you find better stuff to do with your time. I have at least 100 pics of cars in spots that were poorly textured mapped. Im going to post those just to watch people get butthurt about that. One of the well know spots that have poor texture mapping is sarth a the end of the straitaway. That entire spot was poorly programmed

Sorry i couldn't find a way to get those tires on after the update.

Just a question by the way. How does the Red Bull even handle in snow? Does it act like it does in grass?
Yea I read your post in that other thread. Im alittle confused by what your saying now, are you saying you cannot equip them after the update or it will not race on dirt and snow with the tires already on it? (after updating)

As for the 5G, in my opinion it does just fine on snow, pretty fun to drive, but that's just me talking, you may have a different opinion. ;)
I'd like to see you post that in the "Should PD let the modding slide?" thread. I wonder how quickly one of the idiotic hybrid haters would attack you and call you a pirate.
Uhh bad idea! That sounds like trolling and quite frankly im not interested in causing trouble on here. I get agitated pretty easily.

If you're running the X1s with the fan switched on, the terrain you're on will spew out of the fan. For example, if you're on a snow course, snow will shoot out from the fan in the back. It's next to uncontrollable offroad for me, so I ended up limiting the power to around 750HP. Turns on a dime now, with minimal wheelspin.
The 5Gs however handle terribly in my opinion. The understeer quite alot and have loads of wheelspin. Escudos can make mince-meat of the 5G offroad.

When I post pics of things I've done in gt5 I try to put it in the best light possible, not the worst lol. Not sure why you would do that tbh.

The fact you want to troll with more flat tires is silly, no one is butt hurt, this is a thread to show off your great works and picking unfavorable spots on a track is not the way to do that

Is the X1 5G Vettel the same as X1 Vettel? I didn't see any difference when I made body swap :indiff:

Both variants perform exactly the same, however the 5G variant has a slightly taller rear wing (around 2.5" taller) and the front fenders are curved inward a bit. My B-Spec seems to be a tad more cautious when driving the 5G variant, while he tends to push his luck in the regular S.Vettel.

No... I meant I couldn't get the tires on it after the update. Tried it with the Ford Mark V race car. Had no luck.

Thanks... I didn't know how to ask that question really.

That's exactly what I meant. Thanks for the reply.

Yea performance wise yes (except it has no fan) and I think visually too. ;) If you usw the secret menu and set that as a favorite for arcade mode you will see it is as fast as the original S. Vettel X2010. ;)

Sadly I believe the only way you'll be able to obtain dirt/snow tires using Sony's method is to revert back to 2.11, do it to the cars you want, then re-update back to 2.12. :indiff:

Off-topic (slightly): Been playing around with the Secret Menu a bit, and have been creating custom races and having a blast (this is on 2.12 by the way, the menu still works!). This really doesn't have much to do with hybriding, but I wasn't sure of where else to put pics like this. If anyone wants to see a few pics of custom races, let me know and I'll post up some pics within the next hour.

Haha no problem mate. I have moments like that sometimes. Glad I could help. ;)

Actually the proper 5G Vettel does have a fan. There are two variants hidden in the game, a body-only variant that performs just like the regular 5Gs, and a full-blown variant with the same attributes as the regular X1s.
Luca's tool gives you the body-only variant, while Slim's tool gives you the proper thing. I have both in my garage and I much prefer the body-only variant, as it performs just like the 5G. :sly:👍

Replies merged. Whoops on my part. :indiff:

Well once you equip different tires to it on the tuning menu or something, there is no way to actually reequip them since they do not show up on the tuning menu, but you still own them after purchasing them and when you go to dirt or snow and try to race it, it will temporarily reequip them for that race so you can race. ;)

EDIT: Did it let you race on dirt or snow before the update?

Sure. Haven't really messed with that menu. I thought it would be cool to make those AIs better at racing.

Well thanks.

Hey at least you don't do it repeatedly

Haha it sure can be quite intense sometimes. Running 4 hours of Nurburgring with a full-field of all X1 variants only brings edge-of-your-seat action.
