I'm a fan of the production Continental GT interior - particularly as that centre screen can rotate away to leave just three small dials for a much simpler look.2015 Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept
You're a poet,I don't think there's that much? Some on the doors, some on the seat.
Also, I love diamond pleat.
I honestly don't mind that stereo treatment, and when you're actually driving it looks simpler than it does in that picture. What's interesting to note from that though is that when the car has the touchscreen option, the physical controls sit where that little cubby with the key sitting in it is in that picture.
The ND radio is so bad atop the dash.
Though that example of IS300 doesn't. The solid color electroluminescent look that Lexus was playing with at the time that the IS300/Altezza aped was very distinctive. That modified cluster is approaching Underground 2.Anything could look better when modified.
As someone who won't even consider a potential Ayeka II unless it has a digital speedometer, I greatly miss the days when even the oldest of old man Buicks and higher trim minivans could be had with full instrumentation, except done with LCD readouts for no reason. And then of course, the S2000 and Insight were rad:
This is unrelated, but it stands out to me just how much better the 300ZX and the House both look on the inside when they aren't covered with sterile black interiors:
They (especially the latter) aren't perfect by any meants, but it lightens up things a lot; and they both at least went so far as to do the A-Pillars and roof trim.
If it was a darker tan color it would have looked better IMO.This is unrelated, but it stands out to me just how much better the 300ZX and the House both look on the inside when they aren't covered with sterile black interiors:
I've always adored E46's Inteiors.
The ability to swivel aside, I go bonkers for that style of bucket seat. They just look so svelte, and they often have a simple-yet-appealing shell on the backside. One of my cousins had the same white swivel buckets in her Grand Prix. So trick.
Yes! As a kid sitting in the back, I used to run my hands along the ridge on the sides. Such fun times on drives to Rockland State Park, in NY.The ability to swivel aside, I go bonkers for that style of bucket seat. They just look so svelte, and they often have a shell on the backside.
Speaking on Chrysler, my favourites are "beach towel" inserts:
The shell can be seen on the passenger seat. I don't recall whether these particular seats had a molded plastic shell (which is unfortunately a grime magnet) or one that is upholstered, but some car models in the '70s featured an inset panel, sometimes treated to wood or wood-look, and other times to a gloss plastic insert with some sort of decoration.
That makes the hair on my arms stand up--I love it. The example above is from an Imperial.
Reminds me of the Mod Top Mopars and their matching upholstery:Speaking on Chrysler, my favourites are "beach towel" inserts:

Also great for women in short skirts who wish to preserve their dignity and not pull a Britney. These would be so awesome to assist with people with disabilities getting in and out.

As kids, me and my cousins called it the "arthuritis knob".Ah, the ol' Brodie.
A reference or just bad pronunciation? As kids, me and my cousins called it the "arthuritis knob".
Reference. We got it from tv shows like: The Little Rascals, Sanford & Son, Diff'rent Strokes.A reference or just bad pronunciation?
