Hey everyone,

With @Wardez's permission, I'd like to test a simple thread...

With some simple, easy to follow rules, I'd like to create an opportunity for the creators of racing series to discuss their series, and various aspects.

First, we'll start with some ground rules:

  1. Most importantly, unless someone asks you a question about your series or your post, you're limited to one post per series! Please abide by this rule to eliminate clutter.
  2. Where it's applicable, please divert registrations directly to the series thread! Your registration may be over-looked if you post it here, (which would be odd.)
  3. Please read carefully, the full overview of questions people probably have about your series below.
  4. Lastly, you may make a single new post when creating a new season of an existing series.

Now, some questions people will want to know:

  • What type of cars do you run in your series? Touring? Formula? Historic? Le Mans?
  • What type of circuits?
  • What type of competition? Friendly? Competitive? Ultra-clean? Rough but fair?
  • Is there anything special about your series, you would like to add?
  • Race days & Times?
  • Anything else?

Example:

The International Touring Car Championship (ITCC, for short) is a friendly, yet competitive touring car series, meant for a variety of challenging courses. We use highly modified "prepared" versions of street cars. Our group is committed to ensuring that every driver has an equal opportunity to win a championship, by enforcing strict Balance of Power/Performance adjustments, success ballast, and various categories and championships for different skill levels. We welcome beginners, although the competition does include some very talented drivers.

This is our fifth season. With every season, our fan base grows, and our competition becomes more well-organized and fair. With every season, new drivers come, and old drivers return. Some come, some leave; we're not strict about attendance, but we do hope you can support your team! The first four seasons were all somewhat successful, but certainly our best seasons are the more recent seasons. The most recent seasons, from Season 3 and on, have seen very, very talented drivers taking part, with even vehicle specs and interesting race formats.

We race on Saturday, 8 PM UK summer time. Maybe you would like to join some fair, close and relatively clean touring car action?

I'm starting an endurance series called the Automotive Endurance Worldwide Racing League aka AEWRL. I am debating on using supergt or touring. I will have all info on the series posted saturday

Friendly, clean and competitive yet also suitable for online novices and with a wide range of abilities - classic and historic road and race cars in interesting and realistic match ups. Good photo opportunities and beautiful cars with no wings or inappropriate paint. Currently coming towards the end of World Classics a 24 round series using 8 of the games classics from the 1950's and 1960's and a 12 round "Cobra Ferrari Wars" series - a recreation of race entry lists from the early 1960's when Shelby Cobras battled Ferraris with a supporting cast of Jaguar E Types and Chevrolet Corvettes. Fairness and evening of car differences is achieved by swapping cars at regular intervals.

Coming soon (7th September) Historic BSCC - a recreation of early British saloon racing using the Buick Special (in place of the Ford Galaxie), Renault 8 Gordini (in place of the Hillman Imp) and the classic Mini (tuned). Main event "Ford Ferrari Wars" - historic Le Mans prototypes and grand touring cars from the 1960's (untuned). Supported by Caterham Cup series.

ToCA: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-alfa-team-sym-nissan-final-tables-up.306592/

ToCA is GTP's largest, most competitive and popular touring car series. We have just concluded our 11th season and 2nd on GT6 and are working towards ToCA12. We can cater for 28 cars per night and regularly hit the 20+ marker. Open to anyone and everyone, with a new season that will usher in tuning, aerodynamics and the most powerful touring cars of all - approaching 400hp for some models, which have been based off me after years of watching the BTCC and knowledge of the technical regulations. Trust me, it's a hell of a ride, check it out.

WSC: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-snow-are-masters-of-the-nordschleife.312512/

The WSC is for many, the premier endurance championship on GTP. Put away the hyper powered LMP cars of today and remember what it was like to race real racecars. 500hp+ Shelbys, GT40's, Ferrari's, and Jaguars in a multiclass series with a very rapid, and diverse secondary GT category featuring Ferrari's 250, the Jaguar E-Type, Mercedes 300SL, Mustangs and more. Our main race, the Le Mans Classic, will conclude the current season and will be it's tenth running - an event of over 3 hours in length. Join us, for a fantastic battle of man and machine.

FRL (Furi's Race Leagues): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/frl-furis-race-leagues-updated.292323/

Not strictly a league but our off season and discussion thread. Got a question about a series? Want to know what is coming up, ask advice from members, or anything else? This is the place to be!

If your interested in Formula 1, you should check out the FGTA F1 series. Be sure to click the top picture for a link to the FGTA main thread.

Introduction and General Information
Hello and welcome to the FGTA F1 World Championship. This championship will be run with a Lotus 97T tuned to produce 850BHP. The championship will be held over the course of 12 races. Races are held every other Sunday. Qualifying will start around 20:00 GMT(9:00 PM BST, 4:00 PM EDT), and the race will be over at around 21:30 GMT. I hope this will be the best, and most competitive F1 Championship in Gran Turismo. Do you have what it takes to be crowned as a World Champion?

This series is home to some of the fastest F1 drivers in Gran Turismo. We contain 4 drivers in top 10 in the Lotus seasonal event, and many other very fast drivers who haven't set a time in it. If you like Formula 1, this series is for you!

Great idea!

I have set up a Touring Car Series called the Track Stars Touring Car Series based on the Classic DTM cars (Opel Calibra, Alfa 155, Mercedes 190E) along with the BMW M3 GTR. As a child i used to do this series racing toy cars around a playmat, then racing AI drivers on the ps2 before now setting the series up as a GT6 online series. Races will be run on Thursday Nights (Australian Time) 7:30pm (ACST) around a variety of Tracks (Street circuits, real world tracks and a original tracks). 13 of the 16 rounds consist of 3x 30km races with the final 2 rounds 1x roughly 100-150 km races and the high speed ring 500 predictibaly being a 500km race. Each manufacturer is limited to a maximum of 3 drivers with a limit of 12 full time drivers. So far we have 10 drivers signed up with 1 Alfa and Opel position left. Most of the drivers are Australian but anyone is welcome no matter where they are from. Once the full time positions are full then I will be opening entries for the High Speed Ring 500 where everyone can try to qualify for the remaining 4 positions. Racing will take place in a friendly environment with No Damage allowing competitors to do a little door rubbing.

The link for the series thread is in my signature for anyone who is interested.

BOOM

Have you become bored with your usual GT6 exploits and are looking to try something completely different?

Do you like incredibly fast-paced racing?

Are you interested in rallying or RX?

Are you looking for racing that emphasises pure fun over all-out realism?

Do you want a friendly, relaxed and humorous experience?

Most of all, would you like to delve into a world where reality meets pure fantasy, where you can experience the possibilities of rallying and RallyCross regulations taking a different path, where racing that would be deemed impossible in reality due to the sheer expense is played out, and of course, where you can chuck an ass-kicking 800bhp 4wd Aston Martin concept hypercar sideways on the dirt whilst scraping body panels with others?

Thread to be updated with info.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments on the idea. I had been considering it for a few months... So, I messaged Wardez about it, and he approved.

I'm not going to say that this thread needs a sticky quite yet, BUT, I like the direction this thread is taking - and I think the moderators will too. So, this time the thank you is on you guys; I came up with the idea to rethink the searching/series discovery process, and you - as a community - helped to kick the thread off to a pretty good start..

So, let's see what the future holds for this...

In the meantime, post up your series! :D

P.S., I might join @hsv's Aston rally series or race, which I wouldn't even have known about without this thread... This is why I'm liking it.

Great idea, Andrew! Well, it's not like my series is really full of open spots but there's still spaces, especially as reserve!

Grand Prix Legends

It's all about the 1960's, the Golden Age of F1! Bravery, politeness, power and champagne - now available in GT6. Driving on classic circuits like Spa, Monza and Nordschleife, we'll challenge each other in LCC Rockets! Drive clean, with respect and fight for the championship crown! Races will be held on Saturdays at 2PM GMT starting from September!

I have made tuning prohibited, but RS tires will stay because with the stock setup on RH the car isn't very fun at all; with the car giving you no warning before the ground effects turn the car into a spinning machine. And while it's spinning, there is absolutely nothing you can possibly do to make it stop. You have to wait before it stops on it's own, and since the car takes so long to get going again, one spin can ruin a race; even for a highly skilled driver. I have chosen RS tires to minimize this effect. So I guess, sign up if you want! :) I also made a series a while back for the Auto Union Streamliner.

"The Give People Good Advice" thread? Nope... Let's keep it on track, please. :)

We've got a good list of series in this thread. If you're looking for a series to join, look above... :D

GPX Multi-Class Formula Series

GPX is a multi-class formula series using the Redbull Junior and (detuned) Standard cars (possibly the Fan Car as well, depending on feedback). It is heavily team-oriented, and was created as a way of connecting novice drivers to upper-class talent. While it's not quite ready for driver entries yet, I would love to get more ideas and feedback!
