WRC Modern Classics S3: Season 2007

Only found out about this at lunchtime so squeezed in an absolute sprint of a run before the timer ran out.
Unfortunately bottled it on the second to last stage (not that I had a good run to bottle) by clipping a wall that jutted out from a barrier, knackered my engine and gave me a puncture all in one. Tried to finish it but I was so far off by the last stage that a DNF just saved me time.

Never fared well with tarmac to be honest so looking forward to Sweden.

Truth be told I'd already written off MC + Sweden as a Citreon win simply because of the high speed sections, I'm hoping (i.e coping) it'll be a bit more equal in Mexico + Portugal...

Here's the run I recorded earlier on worn mediums, you could see the grip (and my confidence) disappearing in real-time. :P

Wow, that looks like a completely different car than I was driving. You do the setup or get it from elsewhere? All I did was lower the car. Seems I need to do some preparation first.

Nowadays I'd say about 90% are my own tweaks, simply because there weren't any veritable tunes lying around out there when I was driving the Evo for the '01 championship so I had to basically learn what affects what from scratch. That said, I do occasionally pick a tune out (if I can find one) and use that as a baseline if I'm struggling for inspiration.

For that stage in particular I don't believe I adjusted much more than you might've done (lowered height + moderately stiffened springs, adjusted gearing) as well as a 1, 2 clicks of toe out to help with turn in. I did a bit more prep work for the Turini stages as that's where I felt I had the most time to gain/lose, that was very much trial and error on my end. Opening the diff + more neg camber to help it through the tight stuff only to have the front end overloaded and understeer exiting said corners was the main issue I had to dial out.

If memory serves this tuning guide was linked on this site relatively recently, figured I'd reshare it if anyone else here is interested in DIY setups. :)
