As some of you may know, I started my so-far short career in Journalism at the age of 13 by joining the Local Radio Station in my area. I've been presenting on their since November 2010, and have also presented News, Travel and Sport bulletins in my time at the station. Currently I'm on Drivetime (3-6pm weekdays) as well as presenting the Local News on Monday mornings.

During my span at the station, I have interviewed various Motorsport personalities (more on that later) as well as expanded my expertise in Written Journalism. This has allowed me to increase my interest in Motorsport dramatically and approach different organisations with my content to gain some feedback.

Since November of last year, I came in contact with a chap called Danny who ran a website based in the Netherlands called F1Today.net and we ended having a rather in-depth discussion about Formula 1 and how he has been involved with the sport over the years. I immediately enjoyed my encounters with Danny and he shared his past experiences within the F1 paddock, some of which were very amusing!

I asked him about what sort of content was produced regularly, and how he wanted to increase his traffic with the UK site. He stated that he was looking for new Journalists who could offer as much time as they were willing to produce informative, reliable content about Formula 1. Needless to say, I immediately asked Danny if I could write for him and he (thankfully) said yes!

It wasn't until the birth of Schumacher's horrifying ski-accident that I would make my debut on the site, and in Motorsport journalism. I was given a certain amount of information and told to go off and make do, fortunately the content appeared to be generally well received and generated high numbers of visitors for the site, thanks to a lack of information from the 'high-rollers'.

That was at the end of December and I have since gone on to contribute almost daily to the site, fitting it around my schoolwork and social life.

Please, do feel free to visit the site: www.F1Today.net. My content is almost bound to be on there somewhere, I sign off by writing:
'Tom Brooks
F1 Editor'

Making it fairly hard to not see!

Back to those interviews, I have currently conducted them with Gino Rea (Moto2 Racer), John McPhee (Moto2 Racer), Steven Odendaal (Ex-Moto2 Rider, current CEV rider), Jenny Tinmouth (BSB Rider) and I was due to have one with Petter Solberg, however due to a various amount of complications, this did not take place.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I will be posting regular updates regarding important articles or goings on with my Journalistic life.
