Merc is there and I left Caddy out on purpose just to mess with Mike, lol. But you noticed first! I'll go stick it in there now, the Caddy that is!!

There are 2 Mercs, the SLS and AMG. And nah, let Mikey drive something out of his comfort zone for once.

Throw him on for a race!
I was actually thinking about it! He's the one who got me into racing, and he also got me PCars for Christmas, although he has never played any racing games.
I'm pretty excited to show him the Lotus 72, as it is still one of our favorites.
If we're around maybe we can jump on for an hour - he can't be any worse than me!

Edit:. If we make it, it will be McLaren all the way.

@aerolite @Mike Lobban I was told about this thread by Gr8Lakes. Would love to race with people that don't wreck you at 127.4mph on the first lap or people that jump the start 5 seconds early haha... if you have room for another let me know, thanks guys!

Welcome! Please send both Mike and I FR's so we can send you an invite when we open the room. I see you read the first post:tup: We do change the nights up once in awhile, like this week with the cars, so keep your eye on the thread each week so you know what's going on. Look forward to seeing you on track with us, even if you are a friend of Bishiops/Gr8

Notice

As we will all be running different cars this week, and fuel mileage will likely vary, we are leaving it up to you how you want to run your race. Room set up will have Mandatory Pit set to ON. If you want to fuel, or change your tires, or put enough fuel in for the race and do a quick stop and go, it is up to you. A hint to help you set your fuel, use Hockenheim GP as a guide.

I have finished the new spreadsheet, so our overall finish rating is now based on every single race you have done with us since the start. We went back to the original 5.99 as the cutoff for Group A.
I have put up the main section below, but if you are interested in seeing the entire sheet, I have attached the file as well. Thanks to Josh @Lessen for helping me out with a few items, much appreciated!

Hey @Awaffle14 , glad to see you finally joined us. We race with our mics on, but that's a choice, not required. I'll warn you that while the racing is very clean, the language can get a bit, um, "colorful." So if children are listening you may want to turn the volume down a bit. We have a lot of fun - we often laugh just as hard as we race.

@aerolite and @Mike Lobban , I would suggest classifying @Awaffle14 right smack in the middle of us three somewhere. He may even get in between you and I Steve.

Look forward to having you join us @Awaffle14 . And don't worry if you can only make some of the races. Join what you can, but get there early if you want to catch the first race. We've been filling the grid lately.

Last weeks shenanigans:

R1 start

I catch up to mcinnis for 2nd and the damn kerb sent me for a loop. Luckily didnt lose too much time

Catch back up to mcinnis for 3rd and make the pass.

For this next clip you need to play the song below as you watch the next clip

play this in the background

as you watch this

As Dave would say... Jeeeessuuusss Christttttt monnn. I completely spaced on the pit entry point, tried to get back in and realized what a piece of crap turning radius this pig had. I was doomed, nothing I could do. AI eventually took me around for another lap where I ran out of gas half way through. Derp. Sorry to Aero and whoever else I caused grief to when you guys went in for your pit.

R2 went off without a hitch, went wire to wire.

R3 Start

https://youtu.be/2iT7FEWtL0g?t=1h57m37s

I catch up to the leaders and eventually get past Xrad. I completely whiffed on my braking point and broke way too early when I did, but we managed.

https://youtu.be/2iT7FEWtL0g?t=2h3m40s

This time I make it in and out of the pits no problem. I went in with 2.9L and took fresh tires, 1.3 seconds back from Warden in 1st. I guess I was burning up way more fuel than him because he stayed out 1 more lap, and theres no way I couldve made another lap. Warden pits the next lap and only takes fuel, and I've got about 16 seconds to make up. Once he pits I make up about 3 seconds the next lap and get the gap down to 13 seconds. With about 3 laps remaining it wouldve made for an exciting finish. Instead, this crap happens:

https://youtu.be/2iT7FEWtL0g?t=2h8m24s

Out of nowhere I get this weird sound glitch. At first I thought I had lost all power to my car as well, but I realized I could still give it gas no problem. But now I cant figure when to shift with that annoying sound blaring through my ears. A few turns later and my race is over, frozen screen.

So one major brain fart on my part, and a PCars glitch gave me a 12th and 7th instead of podium finishes. I'm slowly slipping down the leaderboard, but hey, this is what I look forward to on Mondays. Always super fun racing with you guys. See you tonight!

@Awaffle14 Yup, pick one of the cars from the list at the top of this page, tune as you want, mandatory pit but you can do what you like as far as pit strategy goes. I will place you on the grid for race 1 according to your time's in the 45 min warm up, so no sandbagging, lol.

I gotta go with my heart tonight, I was going to race something else but in the end I have to race the V12 Aston. I love the brand, there's a yellow and black one, and it has my real life number, 55! I don't think I'll be as fast in it but I don't care!
Edit: crap, think I might change my mind and go back to my original choice......it just handles so much sweeter :D

Ok, now for some serious talk......... we would really like to see a bit more attention at the forming up for the single file start, especially the guys at the front. If you know you are on pole or near the front, please be ready to get down to turn one and stop as the lights go out. A couple of times we have had to wait too long for the first couple of drivers to get down there. I will still call out your names to line up so please wait until you hear me call your name, but at the same time be ready........end of serious talk!

Looking forward to tonight, should be fun with a bunch of different cars......see you all in a few.

You and @Mike Lobban are doing a great job over here. I do miss racing with you fellas and everybody else here and over at PITS. Keep on keepin' on ya'll!

OMG Chris! My son and I just laughed our butts off watching that brutal pit stop. We followed your directions and played the Benny Hill music... Perfect choice!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Edit: I can't stop rewatching it. It's soo funny. Props to the AI for trying to blast right through the outer pit wall.

Monday night's racing action from Gr8_Lakes point of view.

David, this is for you. The G29 pedals are very similar to the G27. This shows how to clean them. Personally, I would recommend getting some keyboard cleaner in an aerosol can first and see if that can help. But this video will show you what you are trying to get clean. If you watch the replay video at 01:31.35, you'll see you brake into a corner, exit the corner and go down the straight, then go into another braking zone. Your brake lights never went off. Either your brakes are messed up, or we need to do some work on your technique. :sly::lol:

Thanks Gr8_Lakes. Will check it out. Cheers.

I think a fun night all round, seems most people had someone to battle with all night. Other than Z having some wheel woes and missing race 3, we stayed at a full room the whole night!
Glad to see we finally got our **** together for the starts of race's 2 & 3! Lets keep that up! I would however, like to see a cleaner first lap, I believe there was a big wreck on lap 1 of each race last night. We have all been racing long enough that this should not be happening, our races our 30 minutes long, so lots of time to move through the field. I also noticed a few questionable track re-entries as well. We like to keep things casual here, but still expect everyone to apply their good race craft that I know you all have. With the consistent full rooms lately we have to be that much more careful. Neither Mike or I want to have to start reviewing replays but we will if things don't improve during the first couple of laps.

Congrats to @mexxifrieboy for his overall win last night, he gets the bragging rights as "Mr. Awesome" for the next week!

Had a blast! First lap of every race was very interesting:confused:. Other then that had some great battles and some great passes (suck it steve) lol. Thanks for having me.

Yeah we had some wacky starts...and what was up with Xrad taking off R1?

The best part was when David said he was going to go backwards before the start and the room let out a collective:

 Glad to see you back Jeff. Another fun night. I'll be missing this coming Monday for my trip but I should be back the following one.

Car choice for Mon Sept 11th has been posted in it's regular spot (Report #2). Please vote there. Vote deadline is Fri at noon.

We are down to seven tracks that we have not raced at yet! Hmmmmm...........two "Murican" cars...........

Thanks @aerolite @Mike Lobban for letting me join and @Gr8_Lakes for introducing me to this league. Had a great time and 4th overall my 1st week didn't hurt the great feeling of finally having clean races with a full group! Haha. I did have 1 questionable re-entry but we need to take into consideration sometimes on the 180 degree high speed entry turns the track map doesn't show enough track to let you know someone is coming. Whoever had to avoid me (it was just 1 car) when I came back on track I apologize. Overall great league and look forward to next Monday! Have a good week guys

Glad you had a good time, looks like you will fit in here just fine! I'm hoping next week there will be a little less off track action at the starts, we are usually better than what you saw the other night!
We ended up racing together a few times and had one good run for a number of laps, it was good, close, clean racing with a few little rubs, good fun!
