You know, as much as I try not to read all the speculation topics on this forum, I cannot help myself but to create a thread where I can share my imaginations for the widgets and features in 5. So, without further adieu, here are the features I'd like to find:
Gearbox Options:
Generally speaking, all the GT games in the franchise had the option to choose either automatic or manual transmissions through the global options. What I find would be a better implementation would be the option to choose among the various transmissions available for a particular car. For example: If a car was produced with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the automatic counterpart would most likely be a 4-speed. I believe the player should choose, and the transmission can only be used in depending on the type chosen; no switching; the only way to have a different transmission would be to buy the car again, or having the transmission upgraded (sports, full customisation, etc.)
Braking:
Since ABS technology is virtually absent in the 1970's, older cars may not have ABS. Therefore, there should be no global ABS option. The only way to obtain ABS would be to buy different brakes.
TCS:
Similar to the ABS concept, cars without TCS will not have TCS.
Fuel:
Wouldn't it great to see the mpg of the car your driving in the game (maybe? just a little?) If the tank runs dry, the car stops; none of this 50 mph limit stuff in GT4.
Tyres:
Tyres are not solid rubber. A blowout would be an interesting spectacle.
Car Wash: For God's sake, when you wash my 300SL or my Toyota SERA, please don't leave the doors open! I like how the "professional" staff in the GT Auto have the diligence to pushing a chamois across thin air.
So anyway, add your feature of wishful thinking. Share your life story. After all, GT is you life.
