Super dodgy weigh-in for Cormier.

First attempt brings 206.2lbs, which is a fail as the limit is 205.

He comes back 2 mins later and hits 205 on the button.

Um, yeah right.

Yeah, he was clearly pushing down on the towel in the second attempt, to make himself lighter. It's an old trick, but really, it's not a massive deal considering its just 1.2 pounds.

The stupidest thing about that whole situation is what Jon Jones said. He claimed that what Cormier did was the dirtiest act in MMA, which is laughable coming from someone like Jones.

This is why NYC should not hold a UFC fight. The doctors and commissioners are an absolute joke. Hope Moussasi gets the TKO.

Haha, Rogan interviewing Moussasi and telling the crowd the ref and doctors are morons

Glad Moussasi got the result. Weidman tried to get 5 mins to recover and it bit him.

Weidman having a Overeem moment on the post fight replay.

That was an absolute farce. NYSAC is incompetent as hell. Firstly they tried stopping a fighter from fighting because she had implants, now this. Just absolutely bizzare. Shame for Mousasi though as his charge for a well deserved title shot is going to be halted once again so they can re-run this fight.

Yeah it's a :censored:show tonight. Well, at least we get to watch Cormier and Rumble dance again. I swear, if the commission does something stupid again in this fight I'm gonna rage.

I wouldn't put it pass them, in all honesty.

What an easy win for Cormier. Rumble thought he could wrestle and grind with DC but he just was embarrassed.

And now Rumble has retired.

At the end of the day, another sucky fight card.

Bring back Connor!
It was always going to flop. Really was only a two fight card, and one of those fights were screwed by the NYSAC.

Anyway, roll on UFC 211, that card is absolutely stacked. Then UFC 212, which is already looking good with Anderson Silva v Luke Rockhold looking set for the card after Gastelum popped for weed.

Anderson said no to fighting Luke, so IDK who he's gonna fight. I doubt he'd not fight on the Rio card but I hope he does get a fight.

Damn, Silva shot that down quick. Was looking forward to that too. Would he take a fight with Romero? Jacare and Whittaker are booked for a Fight Night in the coming weeks so they are definitely out of the question.

I've been saying ever since Belfort announced 212 in Rio would be his last fight that he should be put against Anderson Silva. Two Brazillian legends in the co-main event in Brazil in what could be the last fight for both of them has money written all over it, in my eyes.

Romero said he'd fight Silva but only for an interim title.

Silva vs. Belfort 2 would be a great fight, a chance for Vitor to redeem himself from the first fight and a possibility for Anderson to win in Rio.

This Middleweught division is insane! Robert Whittaker just KO'ed Jacare, surely a fight against Romero has to be next. Interim title fight, I reckon. Then if Bisping atill hasn't defended his title by July, strip him of it and give it to the Interim title holder.

The Middleweight division is just too clogged up by Bisping not defending his title. I mean, you got Romero, Whittaker, Rockhold, Silva and Mousasi all waiting there for either a title shot, or a fight.

And something I wanted to touch on regarding the Light Heavyweight division, the division is really just Jones and Cormier now, and I guess Manuwa... why can't Silva go up to Light Heavyweight and fight there? He's done it before and I'd love to see it happen again.

Yeah that fight was crazy! Also, Bisping defended in October, and he'll probably defend in the summer. As for Silva at LHW, I think he's too small now. As he's gotten older (also USADA might have an effect on this), he's gotten a bit smaller, to the point where he says he can make 170.

Side note: Mighty Mouse is incredible. Fully on the hype train now. Dude is unstoppable, and it's beautiful to watch him fight. So good.

He should really have a defence by now. He'll probably end up fighting on International Fight Week in July, but that's just too long between title defences for me. Especially in such a competitive division.

That is true, but it'd be worth giving it a shot if he feels he can. It's his best shot at one last title run as Cormier has only a couple fights left and Jones will probably only fight Cormier then move up to Heavyweight. But if Silva goes down to Welterweight (I doubt it), he'll be outclassed given his slowing pace.

This is all White's fault - setting up money making fights instead of going by the rankings, now we have a bunch of worth fighters all waiting for a legitimate crack.

The logical queue would be Romera>Mousasi>Whittaker. I'd say Bisping vs Romero vs winner of Mousasi vs Whittaker.

If GSP wins, then it all gets messed up again.

Haven't done one of these in a while, but it's been a big few weeks in the MMA world.

Starting off with next weekend, UFC 211 is stacked from top to bottom with great fights. The Prelims are being headlined by Alvarez v Poirer, with the main card comprising of flyweight showdown between Henry Cejudo and Sergio Pettis, a tremendous fight between Frankie Edgar and Yair Rodriguez, followed by a fight that should decide the next challenger to Tyron Woodley, Demain Maia v Jorge Masvidal. The Co-Main for the event is a Strawweight Title fight between the reigning champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade. That should be an interesting fight for sure. Then the main event is a rematch of an epic fight, this time with the title on the line. Stipe Miocic v Junior Dos Santos 2. My early prediction is that this fight will be over quickly.

Moving on to UFC 212, the card is weaker than what was originally hoped for, with the order not entirely set in stone yet. But it will be headlined by the Featherweight title fight, Jose Aldo v Max Holloway. The Co-Main is looking to be Karolina Kowalkiewicz v Claudia Gadelha. Then, it is all but confirmed that Vitor Belfort will fight his final fight, 200 UFC PPV's after his first, against Nate Marquardt. Anderson Silva does not have a fight on this card, as the UFC and Silva are at crossroads with each other. Silva has asked for a fight against Yoel Romero, one that Romero has agreed to take, but the thing holding it up is, Silva wants it to be for the Interim Middleweight title. Silva has also threatened that if he doesn't get that fight, he will retire. Also scheduled for this event is Assuncao v Moraes.

Now onto International Fight Week, UFC 213. Confirmed fights for this card are, Cowboy Cerrone v Robbie Lawler, in what should be an exciting fight, Alistair Overeem v Werdum 3 and Jim Miller v Anthony Pettis. Also rumoured but not confirmed is a Bantamweight title fight between Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw, a fight that I am looking forward to quite a bit given Garbrandt is my favourite fighter. Nate Diaz has soiken today about how he was offered, and accepted, a fight on this card against Tony Ferguson, but then pulled out as he "doesn't want to do Conor's dirty work". I've also read some rumours about a potential Women's Bantamweight title fight on the card, of course, it will be Amanda Nunes v Valentina Shevchenko.

Onto UFC 214, and no fights have been confirmed, but it is rumoured that the long awaited rematch between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier will go down on this card. It is also being reported that Cyborg will fight on this card, however it is not known if it will be against Germaine De Randamie, or if it will be an Interim title fight against Megan Anderson.

More news regarding the Middleweight title fight between Bisping and GSP today. GSP has stated that he's aiming to have the fight happen in November, which would be over a year since Bisping last defended his title.

At this point, the UFC just needs to take the hardline stance, and tell GSP to be ready by International Fight Week, or else the fight is off. The Middleweight division is way too backed up now with title contenders, the title needs to be defended sooner or later to stop the log jam at the top of the division. It's starting to get pathetic now.

This is where UFC is more like WWE than boxing. In boxing, you have to defend within a reasonable timeframe or you get stripped. Here, as long as a bigger fight can be made, at some point, the #2 contender might as well be #20. Really a major turnoff for me these days.
