The diabolical offender's name :Sub069
GT Version : EU
(A, B and D) On Fuji Pro, (must admit I find the term Pro to be somewhat of an oxymoron for online races!) first in a grey GTR, then in a green Tuned Lotus, consistent ramming/nudging in 5 consecutive races, two of which he was host where he was not in the lead and disconnected.
In addition, wild weaving style down the straight making it impossible to draft. The only thing this guy didnt do was run in the opposite direction. His mentality appeared to be that if he didnt win (at any cost to the other competitors) hed simply throw all his toys out of the preverbal pram.
A minor rant will now begin
So far my online experience has included a few really good races with a few really good gamers, however, the overwhelming majority of races are more akin to entering a kindergarten where the kiddies have had far to much sugar in their diet.
Whilst the temptation remains strong to do as is done to you, I still try to get a clean race whether or not Im lucky enough to be in one where the entrants refrain from being thoroughly bad eggs.
The only other amazingly annoying aspect is when you get nudged (Fuji chicane, for example) slightly off your ideal line, and youre the one who gets the collision penalty
With that said, it is possible to get used to it occurring and if you can enter a race with an attitude where you know your best chance of finishing is 3rd or 4th, it is possible to have a better experience as when the manure hits the fan, usually before the end of the first lap, it should come as no surprise and you simply battle on trying to get to the finish.
If and when car damage arrives things may improve, as the buffoons who use the HSR crash bars as support around the bends will no doubt be forced to actually use the brake every now and again.
The downside is that your own car could end up being wrecked thanks to an as yet not perfect penalty system.
End of minor rant
