The new "skyline"!

Check this out!
"In February 2004 Nismo revealed the car that has to replace the "famous" Skyline at the Tokyo Autosalon. The 350Z GT500 is build with the most radical interpretation of the GT500 rules to date. The way its looks ,Toyota and Honda will have to face strong opposition."

It's old, and it's just a Fairlady Z. There is already a "new" Skyline that has been for sale in Japan for 2 years now.

I didnt want to make a whole new thread for this, I searched the whole net but found no information, my brother saw a right hand driven Nissan Skyline that said GT 350 on the back with manufacturer plates on it. Does anybody have any information on this car?

The Nissan Skyline 350GT is the Japanese version of the Infiniti G35. The 350GT merely means that it is using the 3.5L VQ V6.

Actually, the Infinity G35 is the US version of the Nissan Skyline 350GT. ;)

Considering they both came out at the same time, both ways work.

And learn how to spell Infiniti right.

Well, no... the *Infiniti* G35 is a re-badged Nissan Skyline 350GT.

I'd love for you to point out what is wrong with my statement. The Nissan Skyline 350GT is sold in Japan, and it is their version of our Infiniti G35.

Very well then...

Nissan is a vehicle manufacturer. Infiniti is not. Infiniti is merely a sales channel for Nissan... ergo the Infiniti G35 is in actual fact a Nissan Skyline 350GT.

The way you say it is like Nissan has based (or modelled) the Skyline 350GT on the Infiniti G35.... but thats just me... unless anyone else agrees?

i feel the same
does the factory that builds the infiniti G35 have infiniti or nissan writen on it?

does things like the fuel cap or any panels that are branded, do they have nissan or infiniti branded on them?

Again, you guys can't read.

Nissan Skyline 350GT is the Japanese version of the Infiniti G35. Nowhere have I said what is based off of what, nowhere have I said which is built by who. I'm merely saying that Infiniti G35 = Nissan Skyline 350GT, and the Skyline is sold in Japan.

Yes I can.

The Nissan Skyline 350GT is not a Japanese "version".... **it's the donor car**. Your G35 is a version of the 350GT.

Cheers.

Hey Rezz, please notice this difference between the Skyline and the Fairlady. The headlights.
And if that's not enough, check the rear side window, the doorhandles, the rearend shape, the door bottom sill, and many other features that tell the two different.

The Nissan Skyline 350GT is identical to the Infiniti G35 except for the badges. The Skyline 350GT is sold in Japan, the Infiniti G35 sold in America. So, AGAIN, the Skyline 350GT is the Japanese version of our Infiniti G35.

Note that I said NOWHERE in any of my statements what car was the original and what car was the donor.

Please pay attention or say nothing at all.

But they way you're saying makes it sound like you're trying to say that the Nissan Skyline 350GT is based off of the Infiniti G35. The way you should be wording it is that the Infiniti G35 is our version of the Nissan Skyline 350GT. See what we're saying? It isn't what you say, it's how you say it.

And nowhere did I say that anything was based off of anything else. I was just saying their version is called this, our version is called that.

Actually, when i was reading what he said i didnt get any impression that he was saying the 350GT is based off the G35. He is just saying they are both the same car but badge differently just like the Lexus IS300 and Toyota Altezza.

yeah but i mean not the badging on the wheel and things, i mean all the branding you dont see without pulling things apart. things like on the back of vents etc. my skyline has a little nissan printed on the windshield wiper, fuel cap etc

eg. Ford brand nearly every part they make even tiny things, sometimes you have to look close but its there

No need to be an ass, it was an honest mistake. You were saying that the G35 was an american 350GT. I was inferring that the 350GT was a 350z for some reason, which you know is incorrect.

So don't be an arse about it. I was only trying to clear things up.
