OK, I don't want to hear about Luddites anymore, because I vote this as "gorgeous". Here's a design that actually remembers what proportions are. No huge, pointy headlight enclosures with two tiny projectors in them - the lights fill the enclosure, they're well placed, and the shape relieves the overall 2-box of the car a bit. Ditto the taillights.
Look at the curve in the C-pillar and the way the rear door line is crisply parallel to the line of the taillight and the rear clip. Look at the way the window line crosses the apex of that C-pillar and wraps around the backglass. Somebody should lock Chris Bangle in a featureless white room for a month, with nothing but a picture of that detail to look at.
The rear spoiler is perfect, too - right size, right shape, subtle and effective. The front airdam is a bit overdone and could use a little cleaning up. The little cheekbones under the headlights are not perfect, but they work well enough and I don't have an alternative at the moment. The modelling in the door profile is nicely done, as are the wheel arches.
So stuff it, Doug. I don't want to hear about how reactionary I am. I don't want to hear about how I only like boring cars - this is damn nice, clean, and modern. Modern! Not just "striking" for the sake of being "striking".
