It could hardly feature less offline ganeplay.
I'm surprised PD haven't found a way, for friends to join in the GT League races. Not the online Lobby, but a co-op Mode.
Even if it were just two players only versus the other 18 AI, would be pretty cool.
Could be some interesting payouts to try and beat a friend for that 375k Cr.

out of 350k that tried FIA event, maybe 20-30% stays for the whole season. So probably PD done with the experiments and will be back to its original root, offline contents and casual lobby.

Like GT4's license and mission mode, pls(Highly challenging)
Gt7 should add knock cone over challenges over more tracks, or collect xp points in a set time limit. Little tests that actually learn people skill. Less of the scapes, no more followers, real challenges based on sim racing that simulate the skill real racing drivers need and have. Then maybe sport mode will be better although i do love lower ranks as they races made me laugh. The ramming, seeing people with twenty second penaltys lol

Why cant polyphony digital, codemasters and the wrc games developer team up and make a massive sim racing game?
Gt would be gt as usual with wrc rally stages and seems as pd have the rights for pikes peak and codemasters have rights for other cars and more experience in rally, them three developers together would make one massive game. Project cars 3 may not even be on ps4 anyway, it may go madbox. A gt7 with gt as it is now, then real wrc in it. No need to us to keep buying seperate games when all we would need is season passes.

I'm hoping PD brings back aero parts/ body modifications. It would work well with having the livery editor from Sport.

I have never bothered with the FIA events because I'm not high level or running a wheel. I just don't really want to play esports and only do the occasional daily race now that they're weekly events.
They do need to beef up the solo and lobby areas of the game too. They'll still focus on the esports stuff, but plenty of people want to enjoy the other stuff they like about GT too.

Increase the number of events in sport mode "especially if there really are as many active players as they indicate".
At least (6) as a minimum and what about just record lap events. Or even mini race champion ships, say a series of (3) races that
take place back to back in the same hour. Winners move forward and looser race in looser bracket etc.
I think offset times would also be handy. If I have already set a qualifying time, I would like to be able to start the same race again in 5 minuets (tops).
I would race more of GT sport if more variety was there, typically I do not like the track or track/car combination.
I am not sure how players are matched up exactly, if it is mostly by sport rating or combination of that and qualifying times.
For FIA increase this to a minimum of two separate time periods in the day offset by 12 hours or maybe (3) time periods during a day.
As a minimum should be 2 or 3 different time period sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I would be okay taking some of the offline events and duplicating them as online events. I believe that GT5 and GT6 typically had a nice batch of online racing, some of which was record laps.

I done a fia manufacturers and nations on a saturday night. That was the last i did.
It was full of drunk people. Their sr ratings at the end of the race were sr c or sr d from sr s! Holding such events on a saturday is a bad idea. This was the 2100 nations then 2200 manufacturers. People actually admit they are drunk after the race. That is off putting especially after you have lost your own sr s and dr rating lol
Thats something no one can prevent from happening but by simply holding events on a sunday would be a better idea. Daily races were the same before i quit. Drunks on friday and saturday nights. N24 for drunks is impossable so i ended up more than a minuite ahead in fuel four and carried on. N24 needs to appear more in weekly as it seems to alter dr and sr ratings and filters out poor skill. If people cant handle n24, they cant handle a normal racing circuit. Bop should stay but settings should be allowed to tune on daily race c for those who still play the game anyway.

I'm just hoping it's a PS4 title to follow the two games per console tradition. These consoles aren't cheap.
GTSport is the first racing game I've played and I'm a big fan, the reason I don't play Project Cars or Assetto Corsa is that the online racing with GTS is much better, I'm not interested in earning cars or tuning or painting, I just want to jump on when I can and race, and GTS is perfect for that. I would like more daily races, and an FIA competition that felt a bit more relevant to the average player would be good. Will I buy GT7 when it arrives..of course! Will I play the offline stuff..probably not.

I think AI in custom race and GT League are different. Actually I kinda get bored racing GT League, just because I want to keep my 100% records, I have to clean all of the offline challenges every update comes. What PD must do is improve the AI in custom race (AI that they have built for GT Sport). I don't care about any challenges, every game is just the same. But you know, if they will release new Gran Turismo in the near future, the most part I hate is "playing driving school" again, and again. I want this: no suggested gear, offline save, rain weather, HUD mirror for cockpit mode, ultra wide monitor support, better internet server, and many other options and elements that should be added. I don't care about offline and online race focus, just don't stop developing the AI. It is needed for practices and feeling the excitement of real racing. Because we know it right in online races, the way of players' overtaking are mostly miserable.

I want 1 lap qualifying (as in the first Gran Turismo), because for a real driving simulator, GT plays a lot like arcade racing game (playing catch up from last position).

I agree. I don't think their will be a new gran turismo for the ps4 Considering their is many rumors of ps5 2020. I want a proper gran turismo game next time. For us that could not care less for sport mode, don't have enough content or features that we use to have, but i can say thst gt sport does something well and that is graphics and sounds, if they keep that good part to next gt and bringing back fan favorites features, cars and tracks, including career mode, it could be a pretty good gt next time. I don't think it will be 2020 but its possible. 2021 i think it will be released
Agree. Qualifying would help a great deal with offline immersion.
