The Nissan Juke: We Talk About It

The hell is this.

Probably another city car, or for mum to run over school kids with, all other times it's left at home and never taken off road where it belongs.

When stuff like this is made, I makes me realize getting on the design board of a car company is easy, I should do it.

It isn't supposed to be an off roader.

That's exactly what it's for? They are selling incredibly well so I'd say it was well deserved to get off the drawing board

I wouldn't mind getting a Juke. What keeps myself from getting one is no manual trans with AWD. It makes the Mini Cooper Countryman S ALL4 look like a better option.

I saw a Juke next to a Soul yesterday. They were the same size. I nearly crapped my pants.

That's because the Soul is mahuuussive for city car standards, it's platform could easily give birth to a pint-sized SUV, I'm not sure if it's possible to put an AWD drivetrain underneath it though.

I Could never bring myself to own anything even remotely resembling a Nissan Juke. Just not my thing - it's an example of trying WAAAY to hard. Cars should not look like melted plastic that some child went at after it came out of the oven like a giant ball of Play-Doh...

Every time I see one I have to look away - that's not what a car (or CUV, or... something..:indiff:) shoudl look like.

Cars =/= frogs. :irked:

I like it. It's unique, and for once a car actually looks like....nothing else. Kudos to the designers for actually coming up with something new and fresh.

I wouldn't mind owning one .Different sometimes is Great.

I did see a terrible terrible ad of it though.

The Juke-R Concept

Love the craziness behind the Juke-R. Has hints of Renault Clio V6 about the concept, sticking a ridiculous drivetrain into something so unassuming.

I'd actually buy this over a GT-R, it'd get more attention than the GT-R, and the wife would appreciate the higher seating position and cargo capacity :) And I'm one of those people who think the standard Juke is one of the ugliest cars on the road, beaten only by another Nissan product, the Murano convertible.

What cargo capacity? Th regular juke has less trunk space than a bicycle. Don;t see how this one could be better. Plus the GTR would have tons more leg/head/shoulder/everything room.

I was thinking more along the lines of GTI W12 than clio. The clio was not that ridiculous in my opinion. Unless of course you were sticking to the nissan/renault family ties.

Didn't think about that actually, though you have to admit a Renault shopping car with a 3-litre V6 in the back is pretty crazy.

That said, the GTI W12 is a better example since, like the Juke-R, it's not a production vehicle.

Ahh, the GTI W12...have that as my desktop wallpaper right now, actually. Juke R does seem a bit similar to it indeed...bodykit can't touch the W12's though, not that the looks on it were great to begin with

Not sure if it really matters, but while searching Wiki today for info on the Juke I noticed that there is no mention of the Juke-R in there yet. Anyone with a Wiki account feel like adding it in there? I would but I would probably mess it up.
