The weird thing about it that when you encounter it in races offline, its a dog, always last. But its in some of the Supercar Seasonal events...way out in front. Its a much better car once you get some parts on it. Especially the adjustable transmission. Offline, you pass it as its topping out 30-40 mph slower then the rest of the pack, engine whining.
I see people struggle with it when they enter lobbies that don't allow traction control. I think the problem is a lack of skill, not the car.
Last night i had an EPIC race (all driving aids off, aside from ABS) against a Mines BNR34 Skyline.
His car had something like 659hp and was 1305kg. My R39 had 605hp and was 1126kg. We both drove flawlessly... i got past him about a 1/3 of the way through the Nordschleife (he beat me off the line thanks to the AWD). After i got by he stayed close but i was slowly able to put some distance between us (maybe 2 or 3 seconds). However, on the back straight his additional HP (and slipstream) brought him right up to the tail of my R390. Fortunately my transmission was set a bit taller and i was able to hold him off... until the very last corner when i accidentally slid (controlled slide) the back end of the R390 out, he took the inside line and pulled beside me. It was a short sprint to the finish. I won by a fraction of a second.
Our lap times were 6:3x... which i consider fast as hell for an online race on the Nordschleife.
Needless to say, i saved the Replay... and proceed to watch it twice later in the evening.
