That looks like the DTM version.(one that raced at the DTM series)
Or just a recreation paying homage. Doesn't look like it has center-locking wheels or DTM-style side-view mirrors, so I doubt it's the real thing.

No i don't think the ProSport 3000 was ever road legal. It was built in small numbers (20) for national GT racing - not as a trackday car. They had a one-make series for them in the UK in the 90's. Similar to an Ultima but a bit more sophisticated.

Dude, even a Yugo is more sophisticated than an Ultima... as long as by sophistication you mean creature comforts, such as a/c, windows that can open and more than one seat.

I was thinking suspension/chassis design. As a purpose built racecar it would'nt have anything other than a seat, a wheel, a harness, some pedals, a gear stick and a few dials.
