I've never seen one, but is the rear door supposed to be that small? Bed looks a little high, too.

I don't think it is, the bed is ok, but I think it's a little short.

here's some pictures of the cross 8, there's one big picture and smaller ones in the corner that you can make bigger.

I squished it a little bit, so it won't be exact. Doesn't have to be perfect, I think it's fine.

So, any real comments on the quality of it, not the proportions.
The general shape and all that, doesn't bother me. Thanks for the comments on it anyway. Now it would be nice to know about the details put into it, the shading, things like that.

The picture I based it off of is from the official GM pictures site. They said it was a "crewman" and "avalanche" so that's what I went off of. It was probably the pre-released pictures, they all don't keep their names. I noticed that also has some sidevent thing, the pic. I used doesn't have that.

My friend made it for me, and I dont know how he did it but the exhaust moves... its alittle different from the hazard light thing.

rock on silvia!! i've always wanted one of my cars to be featured in a gifc. Thought I'd throw a couple more at ya. I darkened the part that's supposed to be black and added a hoodline..also made it in that legendary white color...

lol. You must have no idea how easy that is. It takes but a minute in imageready to do. Same with the hazard lights. I've seen moving exhaust before too. He did good though I guess.

Jeembo, excellent ae86. Even though I don't like the car, I think ya did just fine with it.

Note to Silviadrifter. Please use his car in contest 19, not 18. We need a break from this new "norm" of cars. No offense Jeembo, but I think we should have a group decision on at least 1 of these contests, pertaining to what base we use.

Are there any kuru kuru bases we can use? I like tuning those best, because it's a clean slate.

imo it should alternate... squished and scaled. i think it's pretty close to 50/50 for people that like squished vs. people that like scaled. but that's just imo. if this car does show up in a contest though, i'll prob stay away from tuning it. i've never EVER seen a good tune on one of these.

Well, I used Ayaxr's old 350Z base for 17th stage, so I'll do another squished car for the next one. Then we will do another scaled car..........


I love both squished and scaled, but I prefer scaled, because I like realism......

exellent quality job!
however, the shape looks nothing like an AE86, the drivers side window is too long and the rear side window is too small, in real life they are both more sloped and even in length. also, the taillights look more like an 88 celica gts rather than a trueno...too curvy. it just dosent look like an AE86 IMO.

I think it looks accurate. I mean, they're just manga cars. It's not that big of a deal.

hmm...i don't know what ae86's you've been looking at? it's extremely accurate according to the pics and prints i based it off of.
