^ Even though I'm no fan of the Beetle, that is quite tempting.

It used to be free? :odd: What is this you speak of?

He means that the Test Tracks were straight out of the box in the earlier GT games. :-)

That's a bit early to claim it's overrated purely based on performance figures or how fast it is in a straight line, from what I understand (gonna try it tomorrow) they designed the Aventador in a way it actually handles better than the Murcielago (or any previous Lambo hypercar), so how it delivers that performance is the main improvement.
So less hypercar, more supercar and therefor more useful as an allrounder.

Oh really, then why did I lap The Ring in 7:13 my first try (not a great lap)? It can do a sub 7:10 time without crazy amounts of effort. That is pretty quick to me. The only reason the F1 is faster is because it has better top end. From 0-130mph I would say the Aventador is one of the fastest production cars in the game.

I didn't really know too much about the real car, but from comparing it in real life, to GT5........PD messed up on its performance, so before people start sending me viruses and bomb letters, please know that I never knew too much about the real car, and that I apologize if I offended you.

No offense taken. I just think you should lap the car and then decide if it is slow. It has very neutral handling, with a small bias to understeer. It has wicked low end acceleration. After 140mph it begins to slow up, at 160mph it does not pull as hard as the F1 even with more power. Given its weight, I would say its braking is average, not as good as the 458 but still good. However, it does shift very fast. All this comes together to an overall fast car. For its price, no, it is not fast. A 2012 GTR is almost as quick. But compared to an Enzo it is faster, and compared to the F1 it is easy to drive fast (but not faster).

Also, for real, just look at it. It is probably the most intimidating looking car in the game.

Few photos of DLC painted Vantage on the 'Ring GP/D:

What color is that? Looks pretty cool.

If some of you wanna try now i´m hosting a room with RACE X at night only because i can´t change the day time. I´m from Spain so it is in Europe. I had a good race with 2 English guys. Very funny. Speed Cerbera, Dodge Viper ACR and Veyron.

It was good fun! :)

You didn't offend me at all and I'm not one to send bomb letters and viruses if I am so don't worry. ;)
I just tried to point out that the main virtues of the Aventador may lie in other areas than outright performance but the delivery of them and therefor it's a bit early to call a car overrated when it doesn't perform in one area in the way you expected, it may perform very well in others.
Or, since you admit not knowing much about this car, your expectations may be wrong about this car.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but has there been a physics tweak? Yesterday I was driving my car online and it feels like it understeers more than usual.

Well, a test track was included from launch in previous GT games. Free might be a misleading word.

I haven't noticed anything. I felt an immediate change when Spec 2 was released.

Myself and another friend from my league feels it. So just wondering if it was an off day or slight tweak.

+200hp for the beetle @_@
Jag max speed on Route X = 225mph/370km (?)
Adding Aero parts in the Aventador = Beast!
Leaf, gives a nice paint chip

So I gave the Nissan Leaf a go earlier. To those who haven't got the DLC, it's surprisingly quick, and best of all (especially compared to the other Hybrid/electric cars), it's actually make very little noise! :D In fact it sounds like a jet fighter from the cockpit.👍

The Aventador sounds like a V10. Same sample that the Gallardo has :(

And someone is already saying that the Beetle doesn't sound quite like one... Oh well. I can't get this DLC anyway.

Yeah, it does. Just keep the stock exhaust like the standard Beetle and the Sambabus!

Actually, the Aventador sounds the same as the Murcielago. The Vantage, however, is spot on to every real one I have heard. To me, the Vantage is worth getting the whole DLC for.

Tire choice, maybe
No.
You can't hit 240mph in a McLaren F1 without pushing 750HP.(In GT5)

I just reached 241MPH on RS, 239MPH on SH, with all removable power adders, totaling 757HP. It does not hit the rev limiter, even downhill, at stock trim 654HP on SH.
Racing tires do add some speed, because the tires have thicker sidewalls, and increase the tire diameter.(yes, this is modeled) Which in this case, optimizes the power band, making fifth stretch a bit further.

SAME HERE!

I'm with the V12 Vantage for at least 20 minutes on SSRX, and I'm loving it so much...sound is incredible. Makes me believe that PD is finally investing some on sound department. It's just a matter of time.

I'm so glad to hear the Vantage sounds great - really looking forward to the EU DLC release tomorrow.
I take it they haven't just reused the sound from the DB9 then? That's actually one of the better sounding engines in the game in my opinion, although - like most others - lacking some "grunt" in the sound.

Its a nice car even in its drive. I did a play session on its stock tires and it was FUN! Sounds good too... Lacks the punch of a real Aston though ;)
