The ONE thing you'd want PD to improve most

Sounds would be at the top of my list for improvements
Higher difficulty level for A-Spec races would be there as well.

The main thing I would like to see though is a full and proper leaderboard system so you can have your best times recorded and compare to the rest of the world in comparable cars or same car on any given track. Much like the time trials but make it to where there are leaderboards that allow for every type of car to post times on every track and compare.

Maybe I am just spoiled from the leaderboard in Forza but I think all online racing games should have this and more.

More events. If there's lots of events, I'll be happily playing for ages. Better yet, an event creator.

Yes, an event creator. This thing, could be the deciding factor of why i wanna buy this game. People here at GT Planet already have already mentioned this a couple of times. Deciding what opponents you are gonna race, so you dont end up with a Toyota 7, in a LMP race. Or you could Limit your engine, and your opponents as well, so the cars have the correct amount of Horse Power, to their real life counterparts. Having a 600-700 HP LMP at nurburgring, against the other 800-900 LMPs is a challenge against the AI, but it doesnt work in a place like La Sarthe with a lot of straights. You could also limit the Formula GT to 450 HP, and treat it like a Formula Renault, or to 700 HP and add 200 KG, and you got a IndyCar thingie going on, but the rest of the grid in GT5 wont follow suit, and they WILL outrun you.
You should also be able to select the AI's tuning setup, so they tackle the corners differently.
Arcade Mode in GT5 is fun, but you don't get money or mileage in your car.

The AI: They are one of the must frustrating AI in a recent racing game. Even if you promise to yourself that you're gonna treat them like real people at the start of a new day where you insert the the GT5 disc, then comes that first slow speed turn, where the AI is waiting for you to bump into him, and then hits the gas like a ****ing troll. Two hours of that and you're just gonna be pissed, while you exit the disc. And going online is just an annoyance aswell, where rooms are 473 HP or 621 HP, and even if you go through the hazzle of changing your car, you still might end up getting kicked, after a 2 minute loading time.

Slipstream: there is too much, and it starts like 100 meters behind a car if you're in a LMP at highspeed. This would make the Nascar races and the Indy 500 endurance so much better, and you would'nt have to listen to the annoying sound of the cars over-revvying(spell?) if you're in a Formula GT.

The Aerodynamics: There is not enough difference between max and lowest settings, and most of the times, cranking them up to max is the best solution, even at circuits like Monza, where speed should be the deciding factor.

Hey the guy that created this thread said ONE thing....And thats hard, because there`s SOOO many things that prevents this game from being a "simulator"....

But ONE thing...(here I presume playing OFFLINE, enjoying the game disc)....(If we talk ONLINE the one thing would - of course - be bringing the online servers to a proper function)

But playing the GT6 disc...

I see two close "combattants" for the ONE thing...

The outdated 1980`s like MENUSYSTEM - and AI...I have to pick ONE of them..

The ONE thing would be AI...I want to RACE against them; instead of just being PISSED OF by them....Dearest AI...RACE me instead of ANNOYING me....

As someone who primarily drifts in GT5, my biggest wish for GT6 is a massive improvement in the modeling of tire smoke. The current model is awful.

Second on my list would be an improvement in the sound department.

Ai in five was OK except for two things, they drove faster while in front of you and once you passed them they let down? and once you got close to them they would practically slow down ? I mean once you over took them they just stopped trying =/

All premium cars. I don't care if the finished product has 400 or 500 cars instead of 1,000. Each one needs to be premium. It was one of my biggest gripes with GT5.

That's PD's idea of AI Situational Awareness :indiff:

On importancy with 1 being the most important:

1: AI: it has sucked for years now!
2: Sounds: dish the electrical house and kitchen appliances, we wanna hear ENGINES.
3: Qualifying and the return of fixed starts: The "chase the rabbit" formula stinks.
4: More endurance races that last 1-2 hours.

That will be great, but knowing PD none of it will appear in GT6 :D
You had my 1, 2, 3 right there....👍
Hadn't considered the extra 2-hour endurance races, but I DO likes the sound of that. Two 👍 :)

Car selection balance. PD has so many great licenses but it barely uses them. I'm dissapointed that there are only 3 new AMG's in the game. What happened to the S65, CL65, G65, C63 Black Series or CLA45? No modern Charger? I want a range of vehicles not just the top of each manufacturer.

1. more european and american cars. More classics, new cars, supercars, and "rare cars" or prototypes etc.
2. Drifting. Too much smoke in some situations. (I think this might actually be fixed already with the new physics and tire model.
3. Online. Kick the laggy/ high ping people. They basically ruin the online experience. Or increase the number of servers.
4. Standards. I understand that GT cannot make all standards into premiums but they should get rid of extras that already have a premium counterpart or make them premium from the preexisting premium car. Retexture all of them! Give them actual body panels and other small details instead having that hideous mono block lack of detail body.
5. Modification. Legit body kits? Wide body? Roll bars. Brakes (like brembo). Racing seats. Racing conversion for all cars. Turbo/ supercharge conversion. Engine swaps.
6. Sounds.

Tyre model improvements.

Just tested the latest build of rFactor 2 (Build 218)
If PD can get it to feel somewere near this it would be awesome.

Engine sounds - its a no-brainer when it comes to GT. The AI is annoying of course but at least we can race online or choose cars that are difficult to win with but we can't escape from the dreadful noises.

Also, in line with that, if I'm overtaking another car, I don't want my car to suddenly be quieter than the one I'm passing. The loudest sound I hear should be my car.

Other than turning the sound down, obviously.

Am I the only one that really doesn't mind the sound too much as it is? I know it's not brilliant but I'd struggle to put it anywhere near the top of my list as the one thing that needs an overhaul...

I'd have to go with the AI. Not only for opponents in A-Spec, but also in B-Spec if they keep it in. Sweet lord, the amount of times I've had to re-do B-Spec races because my driver stacked it into a wall and waited for everyone to pass before slowly reversing. Into a different wall.

Cote D'Azur is just the worst.

The sounds from the car! I want to be able to just hear that I'm driving a Dodge Viper with a v10 engine, not a vacuum cleaner. You can see and hear cars, the graphics are already good enough, fix the sound now please!

I'm just going to have to say customization. It just seems something that PD needs to get a really good grasp at. Sound, A.I., Career Mode, I think they'll eventually get. Not all cars sound horrible. A.I. isn't deadly awful, at least to me, and Career Mode I'll just put my faith in them. I'm not so sure they'll ever get customization right though. If their definition of customization is limited to just spoilers and wheels, then that's troublesome.

What's so crazy is when you look at some of the tuned cars In GT5 they have amazing after market goodies. I mean PD modeled Defi gauges. I am going to go out on a limb and say GT6 will have a much deeper customization than GT5. Heres to hoping.
