Abra Kadabra Alakazam!Fingers crossed it will be second-time-lucky for him with this kind of escapade.
I suspect you'll be hearing from Geller's lawyer.Kadabra
LOL, BLM strikes again. Guess views like this didn't go down well with the Show-Me State electors.
TIL Uri Geller is still alive.
Made even more delicious by the fact it may help take down Trump and other Jan 6th insurrectionists as well. There's a lot to dislike about 2022. Seeing Alex Jones completely self-destruct is definitely a bright spot though.
Is this tempered at all by the fact that the rat ****er is still pulling in money hand over fist through these proceedings or the fact that, even in the inexplicable event that he doesn't fight this (he will, of course, and he's already attempted to forestall enforcement of a civil judgement by declaring bankruptcy), by virtue of caps on monetary awards in Texas tort suits, he's unlikely to be personally financially harmed (and therefore unmotivated to change) as his takings increase in much the same way they did after he convinced the stupid mother****ers who pay attention to him that his having been deplatformed hurt him (it didn't)?There's a lot to dislike about 2022. Seeing Alex Jones completely self-destruct is definitely a bright spot though.
I almost feel he would have been better off putting an impersonator there that couldn't talk. He literally couldn't have had a worse defense.I haven't been following the case in depth, but what I find astonishing is that there were multiple incidents of Jones having perjured himself throughout the trial. Including one where the prosecutor asks him if he published a photo of the Judge on fire. He claims no and then the prosecutor shows a post from Jones showing the Judge on fire while he sits there stone faced and continues to deny it. It's parody in real life. I think we're seeing a precursor of what a Trump trial would be like.
Yet I find it aggravating that there seems to be no consequences for him lying and lying repeatedly. Perhaps the judge just wanted to get the initial conviction out of the way and he'll face some sort of contempt charge later, if that's possible. But it's clear when the days is over, he just goes on camera, declares a victory and spews the same ridiculous conspiracy baloney he always had.
Sanctioning and/or censuring after trial are certainly possible, which is to say nothing of the possibility of either, but it should be said that there is no conviction to be passed down here.Perhaps the judge just wanted to get the initial conviction out of the way and he'll face some sort of contempt charge later, if that's possible.
Done.@TexRex I genuinely hope you change your avatar back soon, since I almost feel physically sick every time I see one of your posts right now.
The SOB had the audacity to sit in the front of the jury and say that anything over $2 million would destroy him and then gets on his show after the damages were handed down and celebrates only having to pay out $4 million a victory, saying that they can easily pay it.Jones is a despicable piece of **** and the damages awarded against him in this case are a slap in the face to the plaintiffs and an affront to common decency.
I don't know how accurate it is, or how his assets are distributed, and I can't specifically remember the amount, but I read that his net worth is over $200 million. If it's even close it proves two things: (1) that he can afford to pay a LOT more than $4 million and he could probably also afford the $125 million the plantifs were asking for and still have more money than 99.9% of the population. And (2) it shows you how lucrative being a raving lunatic actually is. And how all of these MAGA nimrods, from politicians like Greene or Boebert to grifters like Lindell to influencers like Kirk, are able to capitalize and raise funds from pure stupidity. The SOB had the audacity to sit in the front of the jury and say that anything over $2 million would destroy him and then gets on his show after the damages were handed down and celebrates only having to pay out $4 million a victory, saying that they can easily pay it.
There's still more cases to go though against Jones, so this isn't over yet but I'm not confident that he'll be punished in any serious way. No matter how much they fine him, he'll no doubt get bailed out by the mindless drones that follow him.
I sincerely apologize about that. I derived enjoyment from it as it was his reaction to having been inadvertently (?) ****ed over by his legal counsel, but I didn't imagine it would cause distress.
