This is what Trump is doing. He has cut your taxes and is getting rid of stupid regulations. I hope to one day buy a showerhead that delivers more than 2.5 gallons per minute.

I'm not sure where those tax cuts are. I'm still paying a stupid amount in taxes and even though a few dollars less are coming out of my paycheck, deductions went down. To make it so I don't owe the government, I claim 0 and put in an extra $20 every paycheck. I still just break even on it. It's asinine and as far as I can tell the only thing the tax cuts did was add trillions to an out of control deficit while not helping anyone.

As far as regulations go, Trump is failing here. Seriously raising the tobacco age to 21? That's some serious nanny state BS. Also, making it illegal to own bump stocks? Trump made it so legal firearm owners turned into felons overnight because they modified their legally purchased rifles with legally purchased accessories. Should bump stops exist? Probably not, but that doesn't mean people who bought them when they were legal should be considered felons.

Trump is also giving way more power to the police than needed. He made it so they can seize property easier now, something that should be incredibly illegal, and purchase military-grade equipment. The police aren't the military, they should be treated like it.

Let's not get into the whole trade deal thing either. What Trump did was point-blank illegal and horrible for the long term economy. In fact, trying to control the economy in the first place makes him a goddamn Communist in my book and you know what I hate? Communists.

Everything Trump does is heavily scrutinized. I wouldn't worry about him going full dictator.

Right, but Congress gives him a free pass to do whatever he wants. Only Romney had the balls to step up and do his job. Now, he's probably going to get lynched by the Utah Republica party because how dare he go against Lord Commander Trump. With a Congress, or rather Senate that doesn't care, it's pretty easy for him to trend towards a dictator.

And as for silencing people? Who? Hell, even John Bolton has a book coming out soon. He rags on the press, but my god, they have been ragging on him since he came down the escalator.

Maybe silence isn't the right word, but he is attempting to silence people. He attempted to bar Bolten's book from coming out which is pretty much in violation of the First Amendment. The Mueller Report outlines others he's attempted to silence and how he attempted to obstruct an investigation.

He also axes anyone that remotely goes against him, which is a bit dubious and probably not legal either.

As for the media? Good on them, they should drag every president through the fire because everything politicians do should be met with a degree of doubt. Politicians are easily the least trustworthy people on the planet and I just assume every one of them is lying a majority of the time.

Trump made it so legal firearm owners turned into felons overnight because they modified their legally purchased rifles with legally purchased accessories. Should bump stops exist? Probably not, but that doesn't mean people who bought them when they were legal should be considered felons.

I had to laugh when I read this, Trump made one useless aftermarket accessory illegal to produce, manufacture or own but yet the Democrat liberals are doing everything they can to totally ban and make "assault" (their description term not mine) rifles such as AR15's and any high capacity magazines totally illegal and they have no prior ownership exemptions.

As much as you are apparently against Trump by taking that position on the issues concerning firearm laws and ignoring what the Democrats are doing apparently you have your head stuck where the sun does not shine and just doing the anti Trump thing instead of being realistic of which party is actually truly trying to curb your gun owner rights.

Epstein died awaiting trial. That's a huge failure of the justice system especially since his death means that victims aren't identified or allowed restitutions and other paedophiles are rescued from prosecution.

He's not saying that he agrees with the Democrat liberals about their stance on "assault rifles" or magazines. What he's saying is that the "pro gun" Trump administration has accomplished to make something illegal that was legal before and managed to turn regular citizens into criminals overnight once the clock struck midnight if they don't comply. We can all agree that bump stocks are pretty dumb, but my and your personal opinions about them make no difference and aren't relevant to the argument. So if calling it a "useless aftermarket accessory" as it may be makes you feel better about it then great. I think you are thinking about it too narrowly. This is much deeper than bump stocks. The ATF was allowed to completely change the definition of a machine gun to something that is not a machine gun. Read the ATF clarification.

What are you talking about and why are you getting so triggered? The conversation was about legislation under Trump, it has nothing to do with what Democrats in Congress are attempting to push through. Although, I forgot that you somehow think Libertarians are Liberals and anyone who is against Republicans must be a Democrat. But for the record, no I don't agree with what the Democrats want to do. Legal gun owners should be allowed to own guns, full stop.

As @Blood Eagle points out, Trump turned legal gun owners into felons overnight. When the assault rifle ban went into effect there was still a bunch of firearms grandfathered in. There wasn't that provision with the bump stock ban. What's concerning about this is that there's now a legal precedent to do this again in the future.

And thanks for the concern about the wellbeing of my head, I can assure you it's not in my ass.

Your photo illustrates the class warfare notion that the criminal justice system is harder on the everyday offenses that anyone might make as compared to the kinds of offenses that criminal billionaires might make. And whatever point it might have made, was undercut by the notion that the "system" is not actually that hard on parking violations. I've gotten a parking ticket, it's not such a big deal. You pay a small fine, and get on with your life. Worst case scenario your car gets towed and you have to uber and pay a larger fine.

Whatever you think Epstein deserved, what he got specifically even from the criminal justice system (ie: ignoring suicide or murder), was worse than a parking ticket. And what he was in the process of getting was far worse than a parking ticket. To prove that, I'll tell you that, as an experienced parking ticket recipient, I'd rather go through that relatively painless process again than to have put on Epstein's shoes in prison.

Epstein dying in custody is 100% a failing of the Justice system. That he was murdered or committed suicide doesn't change that fact.

Whatever bias, bigotry, favoritism, or prejudice you think might exist, that meme didn't do a good job of demonstrating it by using the benign example of parking violations. The existence of class warfare does not make it good or desirable.
