Iv'e just recently discovered the awesomeness of this car in game (seen them on the roads they are great cars) and love driving it. This pic sums it up for me really.

900+ Bhp Audi RS6 breaking hard for a left hander on Deep Forest... the chrome is a little over the top perhaps but to me the picture does look very realistic.

Not sure if I've posted these in this thread or not, so here goes...

Taken with a 500mm lens, f/8, 1/60 shutter speed. Panning Mode 1. You'd have to be a wealthy and highly skilled photographer to shoot this, and would need a tripod and preparation beforehand knowing where the car is going to end up. Doable I think. In some ways it reminds me of a wildlife photo.

What do you think?

Wow that looks really good, keep up the good work.

Or you could offer the guy some advice to help him take better pics.

Try using Panning Mode 2 or 3. Take the little square at the center of the lens and place it on the car, then press square. This will focus the lens on the car, and the panning mode will follow the car as it moves, leaving you with a crisp car and blurred background, which creates the sense of speed you're looking for. Once you've hit square to set your focal point, you can move the camera around, if you don't want the subject of the shot dead center in the pic.

Thanks guy. I had no idea what the different panning modes were for. Don't know much about photography.

Sorry if I came off destructive. I was considering the fact that he may have used Mode 1 purposely, and I was offering a real-life scenario where photos like that would happen.

No problem dude. I did purposely use Mode 1, but only because I had no idea what the other panning modes were for, hehe.

@ nismo33 of course they are and the rest of this Page is thankefully People are getting the hang of it.

I'm a complete novice as well but the system doesn't work as you literally described it.

I expected the camera to pan around the car rather than just keep it in focus :dunce:
