He does know about it I think we got to along the lines of cutting some bhp and uping weight to 1300.

I think it's the fact no one is racing it atm that things don't need to move as fast.

The 4.2 of last season was pretty rapid, and could go much lighter. We opted for the 5.2 to check its performance.

I reckon you're right there Paul. with 461 and 1320 kg, I just did a 1:22.1 in the Audi, with all the weight and torque shoved to the back, clipping the wall at the final chicane area, three laps in, and not on my usual "stint test". The tyre wear is as even as you like. I reckon it has the potential to bop high 1:21's, and last about 9 laps that way.

Edite: Make that a 1:21.586.

Yea we have no consistent 458 entries. Anyone who is thinking about joining, the Ferrari has spots available.

Mid-season transfer for me anyone? I'm not just saying this because I heard the Ferrari was the fastest at all! Jokes aside, I'm going to have to work on the car before Indy. Step 1, go back to the RX-7 in ITCC. Lemme see balance... 🤬

Storm and you certainly were the best 2 bullets in the chamber at Indy. Sakery and Seth were quick, but you guys had it going on. 👍

The RX8 could handle not so good because it's weight distribution might not be even. Try getting it to 50/50 no matter how much weight you add up to 200KG.

I think the Audi could use some more HP/Less weight.

it's already at 50/50% as it is, no matter how much ballast. I don't like it with the weight. I refuse to change it. It's so good, right now. Nothing phases it. It doesn't understeer or oversteer expectedly. This is how I win; I'm the last guy to make a mistake. I can't even come close to winning, if my car oversteers. So, I'm happy with the Mazda, and, considering it's not the Ferrari, Dodge, or Chevy, which are, in my opinion, the cars to beat, I'd like to ask that everyone stop blaming me for using my car's advantages (consistency, even tire-wear, straight-line performance) to make me even with everyone else. I'm not ahead of the game. I'm not raising the bar. I'm at the bar, and I'm even with Storm, though he can force two more laps out of his tires. I couldn't make 9 laps at SSR5. I tried during qualifying. In the final corner, the tires blew-out or w/e and there was NO grip, and I spun. Storm made a 9 lap stint, without spinning. Damu made a 9 lap stint; and spun. So, the Viper's at the same pace, and can run a few feet longer on tires.

Is the Mazda the car to beat? No, I really don't think so. You guys don't want me to have an advantage, if we go to Indy, Daytona, or Monza, but, I didn't even win there, because of (admittedly) my temper. So, I should, at least, be able to hold my own, and not be told to run 65 more kg, and 5-10 less hp, considering that the Ferrari and Dodge are showing their hands as the faster, better cars.

I already have the 50/50% I need, to get even tire wear. The car's tire wear and handling are great as-is, because of the supple, easy-to-control suspension. I don't need or want to change it, though, because the Mazda's not fast. The Camaro is slower, now, because of the respec, which I never REALLY thought was necessary. At Monza, the Camaro did.. okay, I suppose, and the 'Ring probably came down to my d/c, and Paul's ability to better cope with the bumps (G27 wheel?)

We'll bump the Ferrari up to 1300kg, to start.

Camaro Spec is updated in OP

Mel will not race.

Points are updated.

The way my car was in the final stint, my only mistake strategy-wise was not short-stinting while I was still chasing the Mazda. I'd have had the clean air I needed to get a quick outlap out the way, and hopefully since Mel had been out another lap on worn tyres, that quick lap would've hopefully gave me some breathing space at the end. From the looks of my tyres, I'd have managed it.

I made a nine-lap stint? Could you tell me when? I was too focussed on driving and planning my pitstops. :D

I wasn't telling you to run the specs I did, but I was just highlighting that the Mazda, at the 450 bhp / 1150 kg specs I ran, was quicker than my own quali time at SSR5 when I drove it, and in effect, your own Mazda RX-8 time. I've also managed to run roughly 2 tenths quicker in every GT car since the race than my quali time (the Camaro being 3 tenths quicker) barring the Ferrari that I haven't driven at all...

After driving the Audi, however, I really don't see how the APR team are struggling with it. I'd love to give them my setup if they want to try it, because as I expected, the trade off in improved front tyre wear compared to the pace is probably well worth doing. I almost fell in love with the car.

Second stint, I was running 8s the entire time. You ran 8-9-8-8-7 or something.

I would've taken an Audi, again, but, it's SO boring driving AWD. Since then, I've gotten into Rally's rally series, and have my fill of AWD fun. :)

Guys, I WILL be doing a Season 3. It will be at the same time as this season. There will be changes, I will be saying those in the coming weeks. I will leave most of the choices up to everyone. PM me some ideas you would like...

I know it's VERY early for this, but some things take some time to figure out!

GX as of now only has two confirmed entries. That's the Lotus Evora and some unknown car with a Mazda diesel. Probably won't be in this game.

That, and you know, we're limited to 16 cars on track at once... Not ideal, for having three or four classes. ALMS=/=2 classes IRL. ALMS=4+ classes IRL.

This.

So we'll just make the evora a GT car.

And Mel's reason too.

I love it, I just hate how you guys leave me to die in the straights. :P

Can the Evora even go as fast as the GT cars?

Yes, it has to be maxed out :P

But, our GT cars are faster than real life, they WILL be slower next season... My program at Indy said they have 450HP and max out at 180mph.

I don't think so. The Evora proved faster for Storm, than the ALMS M3, which is faster (and worse on tires) than the current Mazda.

Hmm, it'll be figured out. Like I said, there is A LOT of time :)

Yes, but, please don't say "maxed out," or it'll be Lotus as Audi in Season III.

Alright, just judging by other series, the car needs some decent add ons to be competitive.

So, to clarify, EVORA WILL NOT BE MAXED OUT.

All caps so it stands out :P
