The Rolex Sports Car Series- Season 2! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

Yeah, I was going to use the Sauber, but IMO it's too easy. The Toyota was faster too, but I'll be using the Nissan since I have experience with these cars. It should be a bit more challenging.

Wow we have a true competitor here.:)

Ok, so I took the liberty to look at the countries each track in the series is situated in.

Daytona - USA
SS R5 - N/A
Monza - Italy
Nur GP/F - Germany
Indianapolis - USA
Tokyo R246 - Japan
Sarthe - France
Fuji F - Japan
Suzuka - Japan
Laguna Seca - USA

Now.... USA I can understand, but three Japanese tracks? Now I know what Mel and Polar think of my suggestions, and can understand why they didn't really agree with them, but I just wanted to throw them in here officially for the others to look at, with the mentioned problems.

Eiger Nordwand - Switzerland (Pits are too long, not caution-friendly.)
Circuito de Madrid - Spain (Too narrow.)

Other tracks that have different countries listed:

Spa - Belgium (DLC, some drivers may not have it.)
Coté D'Azure - Monaco (tight city track, narrow.)

Someone doesn't like Japan...

Lol, but it is a Asian game, Hence the large amount of Asian cars. I think that goes to the track list too. I tried to make all the tracks real (SSR5 is in Japan too) we could use some of the gran turismo tracks (grand valley, deep forest and trail mountain) but I like how it's all real life tracks, or tracks that are based on real roads.

And let's stay abit quiet on the tracks, James wants to add more... I think a 12 week championship is enough, but what would you all like?

LOL dude, Japan seems absolutely amazing and I would love to go there someday, but I just felt that for an American series we were visiting Japan quite a bit. :D

I kinda like the inclusion of Route 5, and I feel like its going to be our equivalent to Shanghai in F1. I would love to see a properly executed Day to Night race at Sarthe.

You're wrong, mate. There aren't enough American tracks in game, as is.

Laguna Seca- in
Indy- in
Daytona- in

???

If you want an all-American racing series, then have fun organizing the three possible races. :(

I wouldn't mind adding a cape ring track, I would do the full track, but that jump just kills it!

@mel

True dat!

And no James, we won't do ovals, they DO NOT race them in real life, nor do the classes each have separate races.

I know that! LOL

I was just pointing out the comparison within our series.

I reckon Sebring should be a DLC.

Well, the South and inside circuits do have pits, and are short enough to run cautions, and don't have huge bumps. But, for these cars, the Inside circuit might be too fast. The continual hairpins of the south layout are more ideal.

Sebring

Road America

Road Atlanta

And my two favorites:

Mid Ohio

Watkins Glen

But well have like Okayama (or whatever) before... Oh well! Maybe well get the corvette DP car, it got some buzz when it first came out... And it isn't represented in any video games...

OMG OMG OMG. You know some of the greatest race tracks... I remember playing Race Pro. If I wasn't at a city circuit (Pau, Porto, or Macau) I was in Germany (Oschersleben) or Mid-Ohio or Okayama. I mean, the WTCC in that game was incredible. It felt the exact same as my current ITCC, but, I had a steering wheel back then. :( Then it broke.

I must now research this "race pro" I got sim raceway, but apparently "the family laptop isn't for you to play games, it's for homework and banking" ugh! I can't do anything! You heard how it was my fault my sister lost her retainer....

I've looked at the Virginia circuit, and that looks pretty interesting. Grand East and Grand West in particular.

I had it for the 360. Poor graphics, decent physics (incredibly hard with all assists off, because the game modeled the loss of rear tire grip so well, but made it INCREDIBLY hard to recover, if you did lose rear tire grip.

The AI is what ruined that game, though. At Porto, you couldn't finish a race of more than 20 laps; by that time, you needed either new tires, or more fuel, but the AI would plow off into some wall, somewhere in pit lane, and nothing could help you escape.

GOOD POINTS:

-WTCC
-WTCC 2010
-Mid-Ohio DLC
-track rosters
-FF car driving dynamics/physics
-Spa Francorchamps

BAD POINTS:

-Microsoft racing wheel
-FR car driving dynamics/physics
-online LAG (makes GT5 look amazing)
-No Nürburgring Nordschleife

I want to see the Daytona Prototype both the Corvette and the new Riley. I also want to see some classic DP chassis like the Crawford, Multimatic, Lola, Dallara, Coyote, Chase, Piccio, and the Fabcar. I also a proponent of a blank car. That means you buy the Chassis for the racecar, it is plain white. You go to the livery shop. You can choose the numbers, colors, design, sponsors etc. It would be a prize for winning a single player event for that certain kind of car. It would be better than just using the regular team liveries.

If this were the wishlist thread... your post would be 100% agreeable. :)

What I mean, when I say that: "GO POST ON THE WISHLIST THREADS! YOU HAVE A GREAT IDEA!"

Yes! I think we can only hope we get a gt6 on playstation 3, I'm not ready to fork out the money for a playstation 4. What I mean is, I want some other things for christmas lol!

And the lake house would be fun, but it's the people... I like sleeping in on vacation and doing whatever I want. Whether that's playing gt5 or battlefield or being out side. These people it's:

6am- get out of bed

7- your outside

Noon- go to a gross bar (for you adults, these may be fun, but for kids, nope)

9- finally get inside. Playstation time? Ehh

That's why I'm not sure if I'll make the ITCC race. Kinda the wrong thread, but whatever!

Sucks man. You cant just go off and do your own thing? You seem like you can handle your own.

I think if there is any hope for GT6 on ps3, they would announce something closer to the holiday season. If no word by then then I think it will be on PS4 for the holiday season next year.

I would, if I could. My moms cousin (who owns the home.. Well, 51%, my dad didn't want to deal with all the problems) so I don't really want to be like..."umm I'm going to play games for a while.." but I think I'm going to tell my mom and dad that I need a break from her kids (13 and 8 ) and I should be golden. That being said, it'll all be for nothing if I don't have Internet...

And I think your right about gt6...

I'll take the R92CP. But....I'm going on a vacation. So...? Reserve driver?

Welcome to DP; you're surely going to face some tough competition. Specifically, Seth and Anthony have big reputations, while Shin and cnd are giving those two runs for their money.

Anthony hasn't signed up yet... And DP is kinda sorta full... I think well have another Ferrari awkward moment...

Depends, I would've liked to have more of a organized car choice system, but too late now I guess ;(

I think what should have happened was that all participants of last season should have been given a date to select a car. After that, all other new drivers may select a car.

Well, we haven't gotten any word from Anthony, about whether or not he's coming back. SO, I guess it's not too important.
