Goofy I think you mentioned before that you couldn't make it, is that right?

This event starts 2 hours before FergusMik's Mini races so we should be finished well in time
for that. 👍

You got it right Jocke, as the final race in the Clio cup is starting at 8pm GMT I can´t join tonight.
But I will be in Mik´s mini room for some races after we are done with the Clio 👍

Sorry I can't attend.
Hope you all have a great time racing. I had my Z8 primed but too much other stuff to do.
Have fun:tup:

I was just checking the international newspapers for any snippets of information pertaining to the event.
I can only assume that all the journos are still being pampered with complimentary champagne & cocktails.
The version of the race report that I've read exclusively in my imagination involves Dusty taking pole position & a whole load of drama unfolding thereafter.

Results up soon, and no pressure on Manny but I can't wait to see the video.

Ok so I have 55 minutes!
Errr, no. I believe it has started :grumpy:
WHAT!! Darn it!!
if there has been a network problem or any other delays?
Everything went well as far as I'm aware. Dusty disconnected but this time he managed to take the chequered flag first before doing so.
Unlike Sierra.

Pro tip: always check with the Mirror Sport first. Mirror Sport > every other paper.

I'll try to finish Top 6 for you, Mallet :)
I'm sorry Mallet, in retrospect I should probably have gone for a 2-pit-stop-strategy.
I guess this was the first and last time you will ever lend me your Z8.. :guilty:

I blame If. It's all his fault

It usually is. :) I would have backed off if I'd known.

I realised after a couple of laps that after two weeks, jumping straight back into a Z8 without any practice around Silverstone was probably not such a good idea. It was around the same time I also realised that perhaps I should have thought about a pit stop strategy before hand. :ill:

Starting on the SH tyres may not have been the best idea, but I persevered slipping around for 16 laps thinking I'd make up the gap a bit when I changed to the SS tyres for a one stop strategy. Now it worked to some extent since my lap times dropped considerably with the better grip. However... I didn't put enough fuel during the stop (again, should have practiced), so I had to make a second stop anyway!! 🤬

On reflection, I think perhaps running on two sets of SS's and one set of SH's was the way to go. With enough fuel of course.
(The SS tyres were great by the way)

Anyway I lasted the distance (without damage). Even though there was a lot of the race when I was running by myself - it was good fun. to Jocke.

And all the best to Mallet

The complete opposite to my also failed strategy If. I had killed my SS tyres after 10 laps so had to change, but I didn't want to use SH tyres for very long. So, I did one lap on SH tyres before pitting again meaning that I had to do 15 laps on a set of SS tyres. I managed it though as I realised straight away and went easy on the tyres.
