Just realized that this forum has no threads for posting solely special edition variants of cars, so I am making one. Basically, this is the thread where you can post any special edition car, whether it's cool, ugly, weird, little-known, etc.

Here are a few examples:

1990 Fiat Panda Italia '90: This was a limited edition version of the rugged and capable Fiat Panda, to celebrate Italy's fortunes during the 1990 World Cup.

1995 Volkswagen Polo Harlequin Edition: Only 4000 were made.

2008 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Edition: 650 made, to honor the DJ and rapper, Funkmaster Flex.

1981-1983 Chrysler Imperial Frank Sinatra Edition:

I want to own a Frank Sinatra Edition vehicle, I'd just sit in the driveway drinking Jack Daniels and listening to Come Fly With Me.

Toyota did a TX Baja edition of the Tacoma in 2012 as sort of a precursor to the TRD Pro trucks. I've seen exactly one of them.

They also did the T-Force, which is just a Tacoma with a bunch of N-fab stuff bolted on

Also, fairly lesser known, the T3 Edition Tundra that was a tie-in to Terminator 3. I think I've maybe seen one of these before too.

Don't forget the Neiman Marcus edition GS. #18 of 75 comes through work every so often.

I think there was also a SC, but I haven't seen that one.
The 2002 Ford Thunderbird had a Neiman Marcus edition too. It may be hard to tell, but this car isn't black; it's a deep shade of purple.

Neiman Marcus also had a special edition for the 2004 Cadillac XL-R.

There have been a lot of limited edition WRXs over the years, I own one of them of course, but this was only a cosmetic package.

The standard CSE4 looks like this:

Keeping with the yellow theme:

The Lexus IS200 "Yellow" Edition which came in the JDM Altezza yellow and added $8000 worth of extra content for $4400. 100 were made.

We got that colour via a standard release Sport model. Looks good when I see one locally.

1978 Niki Lauda Edition Alfa Romeo Spider. Saw this one listed for sale in the Midlands until recently (No. 148 of 350). Little more than a regular 2000 Spider Veloce with stripes and obligatory dash plaque.

Bit of an oddball choice I'd say. Would have expected this sort of LE trimjob with the Alfetta GTV.

Dodge 'Lil' Red Express. 2,188 were produced in '78 (it was the fastest American vehicle from 0 to 100mph that year due to an emissions loophole)
It probably wasn't really, but Pontiac and Chevrolet probably didn't care enough to argue the point since it wasn't stealing any of their sales; nor was the Plymouth that was also probably faster something a regular guy can buy.

The unique and wonderful Mazda MX-5 M-Editions

1995 M-Edition:
Featured an exclusive paint color (Merlot Metallic), tan leather seats, a leather shifter, 15-inch BBS wheels, an adjustable headrest (new feature for the Miata), and the Torsen LSD. 3,500 produced.

1996 M-Edition: Featured another exclusive paint color (Starlight Blue Mica). Supposedly, this color appears blue in some light, purple in others, and black in others as well. Has all the goodies that the '95 M-Edition had, but different rims. Rims were 15-inch wheels made by Enkei, and they were the heaviest stock wheels ever fitted on a Miata. 3,000 produced.

1997 M-Edition: Also had it's own special paint color, this time called Marina Green. Rims were '15 inch Enkei wheels, but they were six-spoke and polished. Everything other feature was the same as the '95 and '96 M-Editions. 3,000 produced.

This thread deserves a revival:

1973 AMC Gremlin Levi Edition

UK-exclusive 1997 Toyota Paseo Galliano

1978 Alfa Romeo Spider Nikki Lauda Edition- only 350 made

2001 Fiat Seicento Sporting Schumacher Edition

130i LE
I couldn’t afford one of these when I got my 130i (although I’ve never been 100% on the cream leather and chrome window trim) but the 216m Motorsport wheels a la 320si are very nice and extremely rare in 1 series fitment (there’s alot of 3 series sets but they’re a different offset). Only 160 made in RHD and only as a 3 door.

IIRC wasn't it announced to celebrate Priaulx's WTCC title the year before? Always struck me as weird that they'd do a special edition 1-er to celebrate the 320Si's success. Fella that lives opposite from me had one for a couple of years. Very clean and tidy... he swapped it a while ago for a slightly chavved up 135i :(

edit: Yup.

1970 Dodge Sweptline "The Dude" Edition

1978 Dodge Ramcharger Top Hand Edition

2009 Citroen C3 Pluriel Charleston- commemorative of the 2CV

Not sure about the blue seats but other than that the 30 Jahre F80 M3 is prettt tasteful looking car, mich better than most customer cars which are black with unpainted carbon roofs with a bright body colour. Expensive as well but the Macao Blue is a great colour.
